Are those... onion rings?!

Well crap, at the time of writing that there was one available for Gamecube at 10 pounds. It's a shame because the NTSC copies of the game still are plentiful and cheap.
-
Oops, no I didn't know I could do that. That should help immensely.

Well it seemed the parts before were less like this, but Sunset Part 2 had a lot of parts where I would exit a room and heaven smile creatures would instantly be a few feet away from me, giving me very little time to accurately shoot them all. I usually use all my blood to heal before I can even use it for charge shots and part of collecting the stuff I can heal with seems to rely on me getting accurate critical shots. It's kind of a vicious cycle, but I do feel I will get better at it eventually.

I recommend this stuff as a start. It helped me a lot years ago, immensely. It was hard to me to start because I was taught therapy is for the weak or a sham, all the meanwhile I was doing all the wrong things, alienating other or making all my situations worse off than before. It does suck it costs money (or maybe it's free in those nice universal healthcare countries?) and you have to schedule during work hours (just kind of made up other appointments at the office or left it vague) and get your ass there, but it ends up worth it if you find the right therapist/group. It didn't fix everything by far and a lot more extreme drastic/crisis stuff happened to me earlier this year that really needed to be stabilized, but I don't want to go into that and no one really knows about it anyway except my girlfriend and family (Never know what internet searchers will find). Therapy really did start me on the right path to not being such a miserable jerkoff though. Anyway, yeah if you're having a hard time, Speedy, there's talking type help available in many forms. I'd suggest professional over everything and to try just cognitive therapy before drugs every time. Drugs may relax you or make you more apathetic, but they never fix the underlying thoughts. That is, unless you have schizophrenia or something requiring lithium treatment and the like.

Yeah I don't think it will stand either, just obnoxious.

So had you not posted that and I didn't see the angry comments about sueing over the word "Scrolls" mixed in with the angry comments about the collector's edition price, I wouldn't have found out what extreme dicks Bethesda have been recently. Not that I play Bethesda games or feel betrayed about how the company is conducting itself, but this is as stupid as not being allowed to call your game Trenched when there is another game called Trench. Down with suing over one word! Oh and on the subject of expensive collector's editions, most of the time they end up on ebay for cheap two months, especially ones with the statue junk. I've also pieced together collector's editions of one or two games by just getting only what I wanted instead of the extra replica crap I don't get.

Ah cool, I was planning to do the Cloudman one tomorrow or Tuesday. I finished Sunset Part 2 last night and I'm now officially frustrated with this game. Between ridiculous bosses that are hard to figure out and dying over and over from just walking out of a door and being bombarded, I am so thoroughly confused with the story that I almost have lost interest in trying to piece together anything I'm hearing or reading. There are still some things I liked, but I feel really let down this chapter, especially when Sunset Part 1 was so nice. Maybe the difficulty is just me? I tend to be a shit aim in anything involving first person and usually just bumble my way through games like that or find a work around from directly aiming accurately through first person. Best example is Uncharted 2 online, I don't try to fire at people with the reticule at all, I wait around corners, blindfire and punch people in the face. Any open area where I have to aim just leaves me dead. I'm feeling very similar frustration here with my skills. It would be nice if I could get the counter attacks to work more than 50% of the time in Killer 7. If anyone wants to clear up a lot of what was going on in the Sunset chapters, I'd be very interested. I'm not even completely sure who Fukushima was exactly, what those men playing Mahjong were talking about, who exactly I was supposed to be getting to in order to stop the missiles from hitting Japan, who exactly was launching the missiles in the first place, and whether the missiles even hit (I think they did?). This story bit could be my fault because I've been thinking about a ton of other crap lately and I waited too long between Sunset 1 and 2 and probably lost a lot of story I was trying to memorize. When I get to the Killer 8 mode, hopefully a lot of this story can be cleared up upon going through it again.

I would love to make this a part of my signature, but then I fear people googling Custer's Revenge and finding me.

Dogs from murder? How cute!

The idle banter forum has blown up at the very least... Er... that is if you're mostly here to talk about games 15% of the time.

I think this is the best part of the thread so far. There's way too many attempts here to drive large wedges between members that are probably not ever going to fully agree on this stuff.

I think it would be nice if certain things about the skeletons were smoothed out in terms of polygons. Telling which way to do this would be more difficult, even with concept art on hand. From looking at the concept art, I am sure making Manny have a pill shaped head would not be correct, but I think the polygon point at the top of his head should be more flat while the left and right sides would come up more to an edge (but still a smoothed edge). Disclaimer (certainly for people who thought I was making a Duckman fan game and may see this post five years from now and thinking I'm redoing GF models): This is all speculation and work I have no plan on doing.

Ooo, I love Canadian Texas!

I do but I'm in the wrong continent. I hope one day I will have airplane money that allows me to be in other places quickly that are not Texas and near Texas.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

I've been listening to this 10 times a day this week. 2P7xICs1nKE Makes me feel sad like being a kid, but in a good way. I also think I have a thing for women with English accents. I probably have a thing for men with English accents as well, come to think of it. -
Hey I didn't realize who you were when I first loved that Purple Tentacle. Now I'm just reminded how damn cool it is.

So are Australians incapable of figuring out whether a bomb is real or not? The article didn't seem to conclude it was fake.

Those Penny Arcade guys should really learn to fucking spell. Assholes.

That's Rodi posting under his Adventuregamers account here and throwing us all off.

I've also found out if you make throw away internet gag posts like this, then you will get Russians e-mailing you five years later still eagerly waiting for your Duckman fan game. This is hilarious to me even though I feel kind of bad for crushing somebody's hopes and dreams.

So my job kind of sucks and I worked seven days last week without overtime compensation, but at the very least I think I've met some other wonderful artists who can teach me a lot about creating better art work and I'm already making idiotic jokes offhand all day with them. I suppose you can find great people everywhere, even making garbage ass Facebook games.

Aww Lisa Simpson, she's my favorite.
