Haha, whoops indeed. Perhaps they felt that their cancelled Freelance Police game wasn't up to snuff for a screenshot. They could have Max holding the head from Hit the Road. Although Lucasfilm/Arts/Disney does not own the rights to Sam and Max, Steve Purcell does.

I have no idea if I should call it Lucasarts, Lucasfilm, or just Disney. Sorry! If I recall correctly there's no Disney branding on Grim Fandango Remastered and it still starts with the LucasArts logo. So I'm not sure what you'd call it even though in the end it's still Disney.

There's no reason for a Full Throttle 2, it ends in a pretty bow. Plus they'd have to secure the rights to a sequel from Lucas, which so far they have only for remakes. Brutal Legend 2 has all of the story and most if not all of the concept done for the second game, it was cut in half for release. The sequel was nearly secure in funding at some point. The even omit almost all of the unused ideas for Brutal Legend from the art book just in case they get around to the sequel, they don't want to spoil anything. You can tell when finishing the first game how rushed the story is and how much the characters didn't get a chance to be explored. He's always been pretty ugly while the concept art was much cuter. Would be nice for them to take another shot at his model. Kind of wish the sequel just jettisoned Raz and we took turns playing as Milla and Sasha. However I sort of felt maybe the trailer was hinting at not just playing Raz?

That's my issue with it, it was very hit or miss in terms of the levels and often the controls felt too finicky. I almost barfed on the Rollerball level collecting all the phigments. I had to lie down. However, all of that said, I am confident Psychonauts 2 should play a lot smoother and have better controls. They must have learned something in all these years. Also I know this is the basis of most of the game, but I did not care much about the camp storyline at all. I rather enjoyed the parts where you go into peoples heads. It also seems like from the video perhaps they will be moving away from the camp and it being more about Raz joining the grown up Psychonauts.

Yeah the ninja rope masters got amazing through that demo I feel. I was never able to get any good at the ninja rope. I'd actually leave a match if multiple people started doing crazy stuff with a ninja rope on the first turn. I'm sorry.

Holy shit, I want that case! I will back it but Psychonauts 2 is not my favorite Tim Schafer game by far. Perhaps this can someday lead to the fabled Brutal Legend 2?

Also more Devs Play videos posted here just in case: I haven't watched the Doom stream because I don't love the game as much as others but it has John Romero and 10 parts, I'm sure some would love it. I also haven't watched Symphony of the Night but I watched this completely (and I should get to it one day). It was incredibly insightful I felt to see a Japanese developer giving commentary and see the difference approach to to Western Designers and probably most Japanese developers. Igarashi seems like he just loves to stick whatever in the game as long as his team makes cool things.

I want to throw out the Worms 2 demo concerning old PC demos. It had like 1 or 2 levels and many missing items and no possible customization, but the online vs. mode was completely intact and it had tons of players starting games at any time of day. I didn't ever buy Worms 2 and finally caved in by the time Worms Armageddon came out.

Paul Robertson yeah, but I don't find much of joakim Sandberg's work overly sexual or pandering, especially in his own games. I also doubt he contributes creatively to the design of most stuff (if not all) he works on Wayforward. He does sprite animations for almost every single one of their 2D games in multiple styles and has only ever been credited for animation, not character design.

Numbers is the number one mashup for me, good choice! Most Neil Cicierega mashups are going for the jokes but Numbers is truly danceable.

I think we should just not be afraid to make new topics for games. I like to think anyone is welcome to start a thread on a specific game whether they signed up yesterday or are old fogies. Unless they are bots. Bots are not welcome. I don't know, maybe there's a way to draw more attention to the search function. It obviously works well because Ben managed to dig up every Christmas thread ever made and create the most chaos.

Oh man, I felt the same way. I love little contained and heady scifi movies. I don't feel like many are made anymore, and I always mean to check out older ones.
