It has long been a tradition on the Idle Forums to start threads for holidays long before it's bearable or appropriate (i.e. one week for Halloween, two weeks for Christmas with exceptions for Secret Santa organisation threads). It seems to have snowballed this year. SNOWBALLS! LIKE CHRISTMAS!

There are two threads starting with "It's beginning to look a lot like..." and I didn't want to show favouritism.

If pubs are booking tables then it's Christmas. I don't make the rules.

Oh fuuuuck they're stealing my idea of someone travelling forward in time always having to level up from the previous era's weaponry. If they have a level set in a medieval castle and then a later one set in the same castle but hundreds of years later and now a tourist attraction I am going to shit.

In all the excitement of Halloween 2015 and Secret Santa 2015 and Christmas 2015 I almost forgot to get this thread going in time! Top tip: buy two of all your Xmas 2015 pressies so you'll have your 2016 Xmas shopping done a year early. Here's a video of me as a policeman arresting Paul McCartney at Christmas 1979 (37 Christmas threads ago!):

That picture reads: "The official start date for Secret Santa organisation is the day after Halloween, in order to avoid scary presents."

Yeah, because that article is about cats sucking the breath out of babies, not suffocating them. A quick search for cats suffocating babies turns up a few possible cases, and pretty much every article I looked at repeated what that snopes article says: "it is possible a cat might lie across the face of a sleeping child and thus upon extremely rare instances accidentally cause a death, but that is not the old wives' tale at hand wherein the cat does so with malice aforethought". The experts (including the RSPCA) in each article all also pretty much uniformly agree that it's extremely rare but in any case a cat should not be left unsupervised with a baby, and "You can buy cat nets to go over a cot or a carrycot." I'm sorry if my advice scared you, undermind9, but as long as you don't leave the cat alone with the kid, you're fine.

Cats don't suck the breath from babies, but that's not what I said.
