I enjoyed UP. It looked gorgeous, I enjoyed a lot of the comedy business, and I thought they fit in the more poignant stuff well. I agree the story, structure and villain are hugely underdeveloped, though.

Suggestions, please, for tracks to put on a playlist for a house party so everyone walking in will think "man, this is a trendy, hip party that I feel cooler and sexier just for being at". Any genre, any decade. So far, I've got a mix of indie like Florence + The Machine and hip-hop like MIA, plus some Guns N Roses...

To answer the various questions, it's a house party that is likely to be full of trendy 24 yr olds. Not poseurs, but people who know what's going on in music. I want some tracks that make it feel like a cool party - if the host puts on a cool mix, it's probably a cool party - and gets people to feel like they can dance because the music's not embarassing. For all I know, though, it'll descend into Take That and Britney Spears by midnight.

Oh, don't worry about making any massive playlist or anything! I was just looking for a few track recommendations to sprinkle over the evening so all the kids think I'm cool. Your earlier post has inspired me a little already!

Awesome stuff, thanks Scrobbs! (Specific tracks are even more helpful, if you can be arsed.) Unfortunately, I think I need to stay away from rock/metal unless it's fused with some more 'hip' genre. Might have to demand Epic by FNM goes on though...

But he doesn't help with their self-images! He puts them in bad clothing that doesn't suit them and they're not comfortable with, puts them in magic underwear to hide their body shape instead of accepting it and tells ugly women that they're beautiful. Then he gets them to flash a bit of arse in a shopping centre. I seriously doubt that any of the women he meets for two days feel any better about themselves; most of them seem to get more depressed and uncomfortable as the show goes on.

Sorry to be all grumpysocks, but I hate Gok Wan. He's a self-promoting creepy weirdo, who reels out meaningless platitudes about confidence and loving your body, then puts women in 'magic underwear' (ie soft girdles) and puts them in dreadful outfits while lying to them about how beautiful they are and hinging the whole thing on strangers' approval. I think he's harmful and aggravating.

And when the Doctor said outloud to himself "HAVE I GONE TOO FAR?" - ooh, dreadful. On a par with Magneto in X-M3n asking himself "WHAT HAVE I DONE?"

I know what he looks like, it's just this guy really looked like him but with a beard. I know Kieron has flirted with beardry before, but I wasn't sure if he has one at the moment. So I got TP to go check for me
