Yeah, same. Mirror's Edge Producer Tom Farrer:
  2. Plug your shit

Yeah, it was a brillo satire on internet boys Photoshop 'improving' that Mirror's Edge lady to have big tits and less slitty eyes, and the like. And it went right over your head/chest, subbes.
  3. Plug your shit

    The adventuress needs bigger tits.
  4. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

    How does it work better?
  5. Movie/TV recommendations

It's always worth bearing in mind that people hated widescreen and the like at first - if this takes off and all films are this way, perhaps after a while all the old 24fps films will start to look creaky!

Gwardinen, don't know if this would help you re. Bone: http://www.boneville.com/2011/07/14/dedicated-apps-for-bone-and-rasl/

Ohhh yeah! Good thing I covered my lazy self with that "I don't think"!
  8. Evan Dorkin

Heh, just recognised you posting on Dorkin's blog because of your avatar, synth!
  9. Dishonored - or - GIFs By Breckon

That's a shame. It really was a very very funny abuse of the title.

Don't think anyone's mentioned the "other names" box on the profile page - very handy for working out which internet persona has just added you under their meatspace name. Everyone should fill that in!
  11. Dishonored - or - GIFs By Breckon

Does that include Bone? Because I've come up with a really funny abuse of that title.
  12. Life

As you're not sure if you're asking for advice, I'm going to give my immediate reaction/advice: Your brother's being crazy uptight about the water, but that's his right as a co-renter and something that should have been discussed/compromised on (even though, y'know, crazy). He couldn't realistically expect that conversation to have stayed between you and him: apart from partner's privilege - they get to know EVERYTHING - she would have had to become a part of the dialogue at some point. However, her ad hominem response has lost her the moral high ground and tipped the whole thing in his favour. Best course of action: apologise, explain it was motivated by insecurity/perceived slight/whatevs, resolve the water issue, but probably point out that this whole mess was largely caused by him being so water-tight (lol) and really isn't that big a deal.

Everyone: Boy, this social interaction sure is good for stalking women. BigJKO: HI EVERYONE CAN I HAVE A SOCIAL INTERACTION INVITE PLEASE.

Sorry, I found you. I am also on the google doc!

They can't give you a restraining order if you're in loooooooove!
  16. Books, books, books...

The visual style slowly evolves (intentionally) from simple, flat Warner Bros cartoon style to a fuller, denser fantasy world with more depth and epic scenes, to match the story. Reminds me of Lord Of The Rings. You can get the one-volume edition for twenty quid now, so perhaps it's worth a punt on that rather than buying just the first volume (for about six quid). Perhaps get the first one out at the library for a test-run? Y is strongly recommended, especially for Lost fans but also for the insane.

Woah, I'd kind of figured out her name was Hayley from vague mentions on the Gosh site but it seemed like she was avoiding a web presence. Didn't realise she had a site or was Eddie Campbell junior! Soooo hot.

Gosh Comics are moving to Berwick St! Incredibly central location, with more space which will helpfully solve one of their problems. I'm glad to say that since my last posts here, I've been a few more times and the people at Gosh have turned nice again (also the rock/goth-ish girl who works there is stunning). Also, Thunder and I went to the new Orbital and that is so much nicer as well. London comicbook stores ftw! (Thunder, I apologise for recycling every anecdote in this thread during my drunken ramblings, but I am hurt that you did not remember any of them from here.)

Have you read Y: The Last Man yet? Bone? 100 Bullets is pretty cool (although I'm on volume 5 and the conspiracy stuff is starting to wheel-spin a little...). Am I on the right track?
  20. Plug your shit

I think she was overly harsh with some of her criticisms there. The stuff about not being able to move until you've figured something out is pretty obviously a one-off situation which acts as an effective tutorial, and I really enjoyed the writing. I didn't encounter the bounce bug, and I was too damned quick to solve the hobo puzzle so I didn't get to experience this jarring conflict of author opinion... Anyway, everyone should give this game at least 20 mins, it's tops.
  21. The sad sad tale of Tim Langdell

"Deceive (someone) in a playful or teasing way" Wow, ace add-on! I knew what it meant, it's one of my favourite words (and most used in my current job). Anyway, do we think this is Langdell trying to cover himself for any future court cases now that a sort of precedent has been set and everyone he fucked over might come after him?
  22. Plug your shit

Nice! Enjoyed the latest update, especially Shammack, finished your demo, totally awesome. I got a very low score, though. Was there much extra stuff i could have done? I didn't get to do anything with the ...
  23. Plug your shit

Very cool, playing from browser. After a LOT of pondering and chunking, I've just managed to stand up. (Love the Rebecca Black ref, btw!) EDIT: I'm stuck, you allowed to give hints?

Hey, it's Abe! Abe abe fo fabe, banana fana fo fabe, fe fi fo fabe, A-abe!
  25. Books, books, books...

Cheers. I had the hardback with a photo of some guy being the lead character on the cover. Very distracting for the imagination, like those horrible Harry Potter cover illos.
