Thanks for webbifying it for me, TP! I'm considering writing a proper game-length version of this (bearing in mind the changes that would need to be made to the format and style moving from a GDC broadsheet to a website).

I already did that joke, miffy

You, or your phone, must be! We're seeing you post a quote of the previous post, then a second post with your comment. Don't you see that if you go back through the last page?

No, that's true, I can do that. It's just a shame when the mobile version is otherwise so lovely and handy...

Next on my list: the Dexter novels, maybe the Game Of Thrones novels and maybe some Elmore Leonard as Justified has recently joined the group of EL adaptations that I've really enjoyed.

Guys who think they're fly, also known as busters?

So, this is fixed, which immediately makes navigating the forums 300% more pleasurable for me, so THANK YOU!

Since Plunkett & Macleane came out, I've always thought it would be great for a film to create a modern score such as Armstrong's for that film (electronica, rock guitar etc) with period instruments.

I hadn't noticed that but, like Doug suggests, I've been using Home for this. It's not as good as having the drop-down thing (or a second location icon) at the bottom like it used to be, though, Also, thanks for putting previous and next buttons in the mobile version, but they navigate thread pages, not threads. Currently, I have to click the 'first unread post' blue circle, read a thread, swipe-scroll back to the top, click on the board link, then click on the next blue circle. I actually can't see any other way to make my way through new posts on the mobile version. I'd be starting to think I was crazy for asking for this by now if it weren't for the fact that this is how every other forum I've ever been on do this as standard (EDIT: and indeed, the main version now does this, which is a fantastic improvement). Sorry to harp on; everything else is lovely, but this is making the forums almost fiddly enough for me to feel dissuaded from using them, which would kill me.

Note my capital D The standard guess for smokey by the end of the first season was apparently 'cloud of nanobots'..! brkl, like I say, I was disappointed initially but I think if you get over the triteness it actually works well to add another layer to the characters in the most effective way since the season 2 flashbacks. Also, it makes sense as a way to finish the story - the characters getting off the island or not (and presumably living a relatively banal life until they die) would be a pretty dull ending. The existing ending has more character resonance and resolution.

The next thing they said was "it's not Dinosaurs", which seemed an unecessary clarification.

It's all looking swell, guys, well done! And thanks for the spoiler button!

Baz Luhrmann is a director I'm looking forward to seeing play with 3D. He's no stranger to using extreme styles and modes to enhance drama, and his films always look fantastic. The Great Gatsby doesn't seem to be the perfect fit for him doing all this, but I find that rather intriguing.

Oh, and spoiler button on the quick-reply bar, please!

I really enjoyed the flash-sideways and how the writers kept us on our toes. At first you assume they're going to

It'd be great to have this at the bottom of the thread, especially on the mobile version. Speaking of which, if you use the 'go to first unread' blue circle on the mobile thread, you then don't get a previous and next button at the bottom of the thread. The way I like to read forums (and it seems this is not as standard as I once assumed) is to go to the oldest unread topic, hit 'go to first unread' and then use the 'next' button to skip directly to the first unread post on the next newest thread, working my way up until I've read everything. The new forums seem to have made this a lot easier, so thank you! It's just that problem above that stops me from doing the same on the mobile version. Also, I haven't checked yet whether this still happens, but it used to be annoying when I was using that method and would get to one of the sticky threads halfway through which was chronologically correct, but then be told there are no newer threads than that one, and have to exit back out of it and recommence making my way up. If this fixed, THANK YOU!

Really enjoyed Forever Peace. He seems to have pulled a bit of a Kubrick and put in a load more sex (and violence) in his old age, but perhaps it's my imagination.

Pretty good, right?

And tell them to feed it into their computer, it's a punched card. Just image searched Maine Coon and holy shit want.

Hey Oubliette, did you ever take that inventory check of your unwanted physical media? I'd totes be interested in Discworld Noir if no one's claimed it...

Gah, sorry, I turned your "no" around in my head to mean "no, I was being serious". -

It doesn't look any darker than, say, Maniac Mansion, though (I assume we're talking subject matter here, not light contrast or something). Were you a fan of that game?
