He'd probably eat you just for pronouncing it "bon appetite".
-
Certainly sir. Have you been here before?

Hey YS, I should be around on the Friday for a pint, remind me nearer the time! Not sure when RPS Eurogamer drinks are happening that weekend, but I'll be going to those wearing a dress thanks to a bet I made with Alice.

This is completely wrong, I can't believe you have this opinion. You obviously haven't done any research into this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idle_Thumbs#No_Arguments_Because_Everyone_Is_Lovely

Man, I'm surprised at how many people are saying that about MIB 3. What makes it markedly superior to the first one for you guys?

BUSINESS PROPOSAL: Need a US-based game studio to partner up with on a tower defense game for the US Army
Ben X replied to MrHoatzin's topic in Video Gaming
Arggggh, it's not an ARG! That's an Alternate Reality Game. This is AR - Augmented Reality. -
I tweeted your blog post of this and it got favourited by Tim Schafer!

Ah, I see. So you'd need to map the card as a 3D object and follow it. Yeah, that's more complex than I was imagining! Would you be able to buy that tech off the shelf rather than code it from scratch? -

The AR stuff (not ARG!) sounds pretty simple, if you are indeed using QR codes. Just have it read the QR code and display the corresponding model. That's about it, right? You said on the side, so I assume it's not integrated into the game. I am pretty much a layman, though. Is it writing a QR scanner that would be the problem? Well, if you tweet it let us know so we can spread the word! -
Lovely! I like how it kind of follows on from this:

Also, miffy, giving permission for this thing doesn't mean you're giving permission for your gf (or yourself) to do anything. Set down some ground rules and boundaries, take it slow, be honest and it could turn out to be really good for the relationship. If it turns out you can't handle it, at least you showed you were willing to give it a shot. I've just started riding a bicycle to work. My thighs and arse are killing me.

I think this is a debate going on elsewhere and the majority seems to be on the side of individual threads iirc. Love airbrushed Tony Shaloub on that boxset cover!

This was great fun, nice to meet you YS!

Man, I'm totally going to start using the original phrasing, it's a lot less confusing. Men In Black is a very clever and funny film, Men In Black II is a dull, silly-not-smart retread of the original and Men In Black 3 is a mildly entertaining but convoluted retread of the original. Brave was messy and uninspired, though it looked quite nice. The Imposter is a great documentary if you don't mind the way it's constructed to be as dramatic as possible.

I just bought Rasl Vol 4 by Jeff Smith (Bone), and am looking forward to re-reading the first three in preparation over Christmas.

You're right, you didn't.

Thanks ysbreker! Sorry, the thread kept on getting hijacked by Brighton questions and I missed the London stuff. I AM TOTES UP FOR THIS, ESPECIALLY DREDD AND THE BAVARIAN BEERHOUSE. (Disagree with your stance on 3D, though, as it was properly filmed in the format, but I guess not everyone will want to pay a fiver extra to buy glasses and then fund the cinema's equipment purchases.) ANYONE ELSE UP FOR THIS WOOOO?!
-
Finished part one and haven't figured this out yet. Hope I'm not being thick! Also keeping an eye on the thing (wondering if it's linked to that) and Plus, looking forward to If Martin never explains some of this stuff and I miss it, I'm going to have to go through some fan wikis after finishing the series to have it explained to me!

All the VO I've heard was surprisingly close to the original, although I haven't watched the leaked gameplay footage with sound which seems to be the main source of complaints - apparently the soldier voices are very Duke Nukem? Well, the original VO was all pretty cheesy too, but apparently the devs have said they're going to change a few of the voices and add radio effects on top. It is a shame they can't just use the original sound files and polish them up, but I suppose they wanted to expand on them and couldn't have it be a mix of old and new.
