I'll take this to mean there are no good non-ASOIAF GRRM books!
-
Will PM you!

Hee hee! FInally the response I wanted from Rodi to my slambang posts!
-
Looks like something got removed due to causing problems. Probably for the best, though it's a shame. Maybe we can have a new one in a month or so?
-
Oh God, this is horrible. Newcomers: this is a thread for regular forumites to gift each other games. Showing up and throwing a few mindless posts around the place is still not going to get you free games. I suggest we report users who have only registered in the last few days, too.

I heard insider gossip that HL3 will be the SteamOS launch title killer app. I'm not posting this just to annoy Rodi by bumping the thread, it's deffo true.

" I have edited one of my posts to include a Steam code for Half-Life 3, but you must read the ENTIRE Feminism thread in order to find it..."
-
It was a superb and extremely popular game so actually the odds are really low, actually.

My girlfriend just said she fancies reading another GRRM book. What's a good one to pick up?

Absolute pleasure.

I'm guessing lurkers got most of them too ):

A Dedicated Thread For Talking About Star Trek Episodes

NO THIS IS THE STAR TREK THREAD GET YOUR OWN THREAD. -
Agreed. So, miffy, you still got that copy of Saint's Row 3 from twenty pages ago?
-
Has someone linked to this thread on Reddit or something?
-
Oh, sorry, the first three are from Second Samurai (the track titles are "Elite Frontier", "Super Skidmarks" and "First Samurai"), the second three are from Gibbage (track titles "Zak McCracken And The Alien Mindbenders", "Thruster Buster" and "Theme From Gibbage: Reprise"), and the last one is from the Famicom SMB3 secret underwater cloud level which doesn't show up on the OST.
-
Number Three is First Samurai; the rest are in order from first to last.

Hey Azkat, this is just an informal thread where regular forumites gift games to each other. As you're brand new, some people may want to get to know you before gifting you games. On the other hand, there are plenty of people who have left keys open for anyone and presumably wouldn't mind if you took one, although I'm sure they'd like you to hang around afterwards and join our community. Above all else, follow the teachings of Bill and Ted, and you won't go far wrong: Be Excellent To Each Other (And Party On, Dudes).

I took the first Humble Bundle one, thanks Cigol! It turned out to be Scribblenauts Unlimited, which thankfully I didn't have and so was not wasted! Are all those codes from the WB Games Bundle, then? If so, the others will be some of these, right? Batman: Arkham Asylum — Game of the Year Edition F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin F.E.A.R. 3 Lord of the Rings: War in the North Batman: Arkham City — Game of the Year Edition F.E.A.R. To be fair, the first two films were sold very intentionally in that way by Wright/Pegg/Frost - SotD was described as a "RomZomCom" and "Spaced with zombies", and HF as a "British Bad Boys 2". My expectations were so skewed that it took a second viewing to appreciate the films for what they were - a zombie film with comedy elements and an intricately constructed murder mystery comedy. I'm hoping I'll enjoy TWE a lot more on my second viewing as well - although I'm not sure if confounded expectations had as much to do with my disappointment for this one.
-
It's First Samurai. The other ones are Elite Frontier, Super Skidmarks, Zak McCracken And The Alien Mindbenders, Gibbage and the Famicom version of Super Mario Bros 3. You're welcome.

The question is whether Messi wants to study adventures for historical value, regardless of quality.

Wow, SecretAsianMan has recommended some genuinely good episodes of sci-fi drama here. Yesterday's Enterprise and Best Of Both Worlds are cracking sci-fi and The Drumhead feels eerily relevant. -
23 minutes til Christmas! Merry Commercialism, everyone!

Ah, okay, thanks for clarifying. Yeah, it's more that it's very talky, right?

As it sometimes causes confusion, I'll point out that you do need to own a copy of Grim in order to get those data files - Residual doesn't provide them, just facilitates them. Other adventure game types you might want play are old Sierra games (I'm not a big expert on these - maybe a Kings Quest or Space Quest), text adventures (Zork is the big one) or newer, more interactive fiction-leaning adventures like The Walking Dead, Longest Journey or Beyond: Two Souls. I haven't played a lot of these games though, so I can't vouch for all of their quality!
