Ah yes, sorry, you weren't directly connecting that to the sexual abuse allegations. It is still tied in to a list of other accusations and behaviour characteristic of a serial paedophile, though, which seems to imply an indirect line of proof. Aside from that, I do think that the opinions that he makes affecting films and that he uses actors' regard for him to get set-ups done quicker is rather tenuous proof that he's a master manipulator of emotions in all areas of his life.
  2. Yeah, he mentioned on a (the most?) recent 'cast.
  3. Life

    Yeah, +1 for the stamp-licking.
  4. Feminism

Yes, I understand that. I'm just saying that there's a difference between "I wouldn't recommend a Woody Allen movie to a friend because of long-standing sexual abuse allegations that I believe to be true" and "I wouldn't recommend a Woody Allen movie to a friend because of sexual abuse that he definitely committed".
  5. Games giveaway

Platform adventure that "if Roald Dahl had ever made a Video game, this would be it"? Done. You do have to actually log into Steam with your password, but it all seems legit. I've got my key now, haven't been able to activate it yet as am not on a machine with Steam installed.

  7. Show me your desk/gaming space

Milk And Cheese should be front and centre! Otherwise, excellent display.

I wavered on whether to post this, but I'm a little unnerved at how everyone seems to just be taking the allegations as undeniable fact: I'm not saying I think he's innocent, but this general "guilty before proven innocent" vibe with sprinklings of specious logic from this community took me aback a little.
  9. Plug your shit

How much description are you planning on/required to have? Because having it for every game would definitely be the better option. Would one or two lines at the bottom of each one really cause a big design/space issue? Would it help/be allowed to have all the descriptions in a chapter at the back?
  10. Anyone Remember?

Someone hypothesised a thing and someone else replied "gross".
  11. Getting into the industry?

Attest? Perhaps you could get a temp part-time office monkey job and use the rest if your time to make things or apply for things...
  12. The Big LucasArts Playthrough

I guess the issue is that COMI should have stuck with the "Lite" label, thereby reflecting that puzzles are taken out for that, not added for Mega.
  13. Games giveaway

I have Steam coupons for 33% off Chaos Engine and 10% off Toki Tori 2+
  14. The Big LucasArts Playthrough

Unfortunately, I made the stupid mistake of playing regular first. Mega Monkey then offers no replay value because you can reverse engineer the reinstated first steps to the puzzles from having solved their end steps already. I'm not sure if MI2's Lite version works any better.

    What were those?
  16. Broken Age - Double Fine Adventure!

    Ah, that's good to know!
  17. Good Hangover Breakfast?

Double Sausage Egg McMuffin with hash brown and orange juice. Or full English breakfast with a pint of lager.
  18. The buyer would have to fill in a huge list of obscure details about themselves (longest ever hair length, preferred weather, number of weapons), which then would be entered into the OGR secret objective formula to give that person an objective rating, which would then be the entire design for the item of clothing.
  19. Broken Age - Double Fine Adventure!

Just finished Act One! Really enjoyed it. I started as Vella, then switched between the two whenever I felt I'd finished a section or needed to think in order to progress. That worked pretty well, although I probably should have started with Shay as his opening is so much stronger. Vella's first two rooms are pretty dull, and also I didn't feel like the story-telling was as strong - it may be because I already knew the set-up from the doc, and a new player is supposed to get , but I never felt that moment of . Plus, I didn't feel the which again could be because I was used to seeing it. Anyway, once I'd got past that opening, I enjoyed her side a lot more, especially coming back to it from Shay's side - the juxtaposition of was really nice. And the locations were ace too. I'm a bit envious of people playing this with no knowledge of what was coming. Overall, I was happy with the simplicity of the game. It's not full-on Lucasarts (although you could argue it's on a similar level with Full Throttle), but it has enough puzzling and inventory use that I had to stop and think a few times. I never got stuck, though, so it took me 4 hours all in all. The only thing I would have liked was a 'look at' function separate from the 'interact' one, I really felt that was needed in some places. Finally, the presentation and story-telling was great. Looks and sounds great, plus lots of nice dialogue, characters and plot developments (especially the stuff which is always cool - reminded me of those big moments in LOST). Really looking forward to Act Two.

You should edit in an "IANAL" at the end there, just to be safe.

    I love corpse.
  22. Movie/TV recommendations

So you bought a tv and never even plugged it in? Can I have it?

Justin, I just re-read my post and realised it got a bit confused and might read like I was calling you a big baby, which I wasn't! I was being pedantically irritated simultaneously at people who refer to bad colds as flu, people who think it's a true fact that every man ever who gets a cold will exaggerate it and men who use it incorrectly, seemingly believing "man-flu" is a real thing that means men get worse colds than women.
  24. Plug your shit

Whaddya know, turns out we are not lawyers. Good luck with wriggling through a loophole, would be amazing to see your work in a book. (And remember to plug Alex whenever possible!)
  25. Life

    IT'S NOT FLU!
