Is anyone else strangely excited for the new Wolfenstein game?
Ben X replied to Architecture's topic in Video Gaming
I might get this down the road, when I've cleared my backlog (so, about two years from now). I recently got Wolfenstein 3D in a deal, so I'm wondering if Return To Castle Wolfenstein was a good (and different) enough game to make it worth playing that in between the two... -
Had any thoughts on what could be done?

Help me forget about Olly Moss and move on with my life
Ben X replied to melmer's topic in Idle Banter
Yeah, I thought you'd get that with the Lebowski reference! Unfortunately, she's smart enough to have all her privacy settings on except for her likes (does FB allow those to be private?). I didn't say I wanted to date her, just be good friends. I'm not some kind of creepy weirdo! Do you think Mington is really trying to date Olly and J? -
Great stuff! I like the kid in the Lobo outfit, and did I see a Finn hat as well? I was wondering if the snooty kid all in black was a reference to something... Also, is the sculptor in part 5 a self-portrait?

Ha, that's excellent! Not sure I'd be able to blag my way through a Katy Perry conversation, however... -
It'll need at least one of them to be Iron Man good. If they're all Hitman or DooM good, I'd guess things will stay the same.

You mean "proverbial sequel"?
-
I just looked up Inbox Zero, and if this is representative: then it's pretty much common sense; that's just instinctively how I handle email anyway, except my inbox acts as my "requires response" folder (and I therefore save valuable seconds over his method!).

Help me become good friends with SyntheticGerbil's sister I see she likes The Big Lebowski, perhaps I could use that as an "in"? -
Just saw Guardians Of The Galaxy, and I'd say the whole film is like that. A big mess of bluster and noise, that thinks saying "a-hole" is the height of hilarity, with far far too many characters and far far too little characterisation.

Ha, good job I'm in Hufflepuff, then! Yeah, I was hoping there wouldn't be any need for quendams and esses. Hmmm, what's Latin for "baboo"?
-
How about "If a woman thinks something is sexist, then it is"?
-
I knew you'd be over to correct Google's translation! So, are there any cool actual Latin phrases that Baron could use? Ones that Latin scholars would get a kick out of if they saw?

There's something about #orangeroom too, but I have no idea what that is.

Violence is not the way forward, David. You should travel back there, pick him up, and drop him off in the Cretaceous period. Let God sort him out. Because I was lazy earlier in my hashtag mention, here are a couple of things that seem to be getting some attention: http://iwantedwings.wordpress.com/2014/07/21/a-response-to-women-against-feminism/ http://kristalgarcia.wordpress.com/2014/01/28/how-i-went-from-a-feminist-to-a-honey-badger/

Seems #womenagainstfeminism is blowing up today

Shameless inclusion of Dan and Ben fan art:

10 PRINT Yes, both sides are important, which means the objective side is important too 20 PRINT Yes, both sides are important, which means the subjective side is important too 30 GOTO 10

Also, Secret Asian Man, the first season is definitely a little slower than the rest. It picks up pretty much straight away from the start of S2.

How about "ORBIS NON SUFFICIT"? edit: or "VENIT HIEMS"

I doubt Kim had much personal involvement with the design of this game! Whether she did or not, though, it's cool that the game is progressive (for gaming) and mainstream and successful.

It's been mentioned a handful of times around the place, but not on this thread, so I thought I'd link Dead End Thrills, for shots of someone else's screen, once they've fiddled with FOV etc and got rid of GUI.

I tried to branch it out as much as possible so that it wouldn't take long to get to a new choice, and it's not that big, so you possibly played a fair bit of it. It is an inherent issue with the 'often-ending' thing that came out of its GDC Journal origins. I could plausibly do a different version where there are fewer deaths and it's more linear/inter-linked so the player is likely to catch more of the writing, and/or perhaps a "quick-load" for all deaths. If you haven't found yourself in the middle of some Big fan-fic, though, you definitely haven't replayed enough!

Ha ha! It has become obvious to me that I can't highlight enough the fact that the player is supposed to die regularly, and restart then go in different directions. A lot of people die once then give up. If Twine weren't so quirky, I'd automate the restart...
