Re. Continuum, I think I watched about 6 episodes or so, and thought that they were doing clever overarching stuff with it, but episode to episode it was pretty wonky.

Perhaps the Twine thread could be renamed? If not, you could start an IF thread and just link to those two threads in the OP...

Generally: if it's a friend being sexist to another friend, I'll bring it up; if it's a stranger being sexist (racist, misogynist, creepy etc) to a friend, I won't say anything in the moment (unless there's physical danger) but bring it up later with the friend and let them know I'll speak up in those instances if they want me to.

(The article refers to it as how she used to be sexist, but her tweets over the past hour - which include some tough reading about her childhood - refer to herself as an ex-MRA. tl;dr - working in the games industry cured her of it.)

Agreed. I went for the most sensible choice as much as possible, and it was still effective in showing how even when you do this, you're still hobbled by insecurity and physical lethargy, and just when you think you might be making progress another molehill looms. It sounds like a tough experience, which it kind of is, but it's also simple to play and takes about half an hour to complete a playthrough, so I'd recommend it to everyone. The devs note that they hope it would be helpful for depressed people to play as well, as it may reassure them that many other people are having similar problems and thought processes.

This was at me, presumably? I pasted someone's post of their opinion on a thing, without naming them; I don't think it's that "gross", especially compared to posting that image of Zoe and her ex's private conversation (which I'd studiously avoided) without warning. EDIT: I now realise that gormanate was in fact referring to the posting of Zoe's conversation. I looked away quickly enough not to realise it was Facebook.

Ha, I saw that in the bttf.com newsletter (I don't go to the site any more as it's run by a homophobic dick) and while it's a nice model I'm not into them enough to pay actual money for it. Also, Marty looks a bit constipated - they haven't really captured MJF's light comedy charm there.

Just played it for first time. Very effective, and especially poignant for me as a close family member has been suffering with depression recently, which is the first time I've really had to deal with it. I forgot to do a Steam review or whatevs, I'll go back and do that now.

As far as I can tell from the forums, the codecs aren't nerfed for the free version at the moment. I think they only started charging recently anyway, so that may have coincided with them improving their codec... code enough to do so. At the moment I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt as I'm working with some (relatively) weird old avi's, but I still don't understand why VLC can handle everything and this can't. If I get a nice new camera at some point, I'll definitely be keeping a close eye at how LW handles the codecs before committing to it in any way.

I think in the publicity for Tarzan they talked about using new methods to get a load of parallax and layers or whatever going on with the trees/foliage. They may have used the term "depth of field"...

I have these as well, in case those games are popular enough for all four vouchers to be wanted.
