  1. The first game is a bit unplayable nowadays (those Lego-levels!) because there's too little overview, but the seuqel is still one of the best [PC] platformgames ever. Huge fun, and what's more, huge MULTIPLAYER splitscreen fun!

  2. Yesterday I opened the package from England and was thrilled to see not only the Killzone demo, but also a nice pen AND a SUPERB Idle Thumbs businesscard with Spaff sending me his love :") I haven't played the demo yet so you may havce saddled me with a dog, but here's love back in advance =D

  3. I can now finally relate to what Yufster is going through, because after a long period of unemployment, I've landed a job at the Mediamarkt, an 'electronics supermarket', where I inform customers about DVD's and CD's at the service desk. Okay it's not games, which I'd rather have seen. But this is good enough as well. And I think I get my fair share of ill-informed customers to direct to the right place. But I enjoy it so far, hopefully the job'll stay good!

  4. Dino Riders is cool. I specifically remember an episode that taught me how treacherous and unpredictable an Evil Overlord can be. Krulos, sporting a watery dome to preserve his saliva-encovered body, had his glass helmet cracked and was dying. Near the end of the episode he was pleading to the good guys' healer woman to save his life. She restored his varia suit and then, in an unforseen and unthinkable turn of events, Krulos, now back to full strength, decided to abandon his promise to leave the dinoriders at peace and launched another massive attack! UNFORGETTABLE!

  5. They could pay a consultant a million dollars to take away the psychological barrer and get you to read the news page, or they could just do it like most small sites and put the news first and make the news show the new articles. Or they could pretend that they are a big site that actualy updates more than once a week.

I still love you guys though :)

"It's the dichotomy that keeps gamers coming back!"

  6. Very true. But I think it wouldn't be wise to neglect other genres altogehter when you're doing research. There are loads of good things to be found in every genre and you can take the best of each, or come up with new ideas. Of course you were just making a point, and I agree it seems a bit random to look at every good game. And obviously I can't judge whether Perry is just using it to elude his obviously MAD following. But still, his 'challenge' seems like a smart thing to do. If only to increase awareness.

  7. I was there last year, but not this year because I was busy moving and all that. Still, doesn't look like I missed a lot. last year I primarily went to lobby a bit with the various publishers of gaming magazines that were there. I couldn't care less about the games on display where al the rabid nerds were flocking about.

  8. You know, now that I've slept a night over it, I'm more positive about the Starwars teaser. Especially the first half just IS very good trailermaterial, and I've shifted my mindset from expecting a good starwars movie, to just expecting a really nice campy special effects movie.

And I still think the horde of wookies is cute.

  9. I'm scared.

I have to say though that it could very well be that he's a very friendly and nice man in reality. Think of all the outrage the German movie Der Untergang created, where people were angry that the movie supposedly made Hitler look "too human". Really? I mean; you're serious about this? Let me fill you in on a li'l secret: he WAS a human you bunch of Nerfherders! Come on, we're all reasonable people, right? And unlike Bush, we understand that not everything is either black or white. Hitler might have been great with children, and Bush will also have his good sides.

I'm not comparing the two, for those of you who are eager to misread my words.
