Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube
Roderick replied to pabosher's topic in Idle Banter
Yes, please do not feel terrible about it at all. These people have attempted to run 140 miles, which is exactly not what we're built for. I applaud their willingness to go to the absolute limit, but will also laugh at their self-imposed, hilarious slapstick moves. -
You've found the one creature on Earth that's more miserable than you on pictures, congratulations!!

Obligatory Comical YouTube Thread II: The Fall of YouTube

At some point during the Iron Man video I couldn't see, possibly because of the delirium, possibly because my eyes were full of tears. The last thing I witnessed were flailing comedy humans tracked by camera, one of whom was a 'stalker'. -
When I read about the bad writing, that makes me so sad. Ubi made a huge deal out of its screenwriting department Alice. If this is their output... I wonder what went wrong.

The DeLorean was a clunker in my opinion, they really screwed up the hood. The Ecto-1 looks great, both in contrast and on it's own, and I can't wait to have it myself!

That was my exact trajectory: coming out of DS, Witcher 2 was a huge step back. Once you get past the controls (play it on easy so combat's never more than a nuisance) and the winding intro, the game has a fun story and world to offer.

Dark Souls 2 (Dark Souls successor (Demon's Souls successor))
Roderick replied to melmer's topic in Video Gaming
After playing DS2 for over 80 hours, I get physically uncomfortable with how you flub the timing when dodging those big knights at the start of the video, heybeardo I completely disagree with your assessment that the loss of physical immersion by bonfire teleportation is offset by 'the convenience' of it: in my opinion it's a poor trade-off, but then the quality of truly getting lost in a world is the thing I prize more than anything else in gaming.- 1284 replies

That is still the best tagline ever: « at the end of everything, hold onto anything »

That's misdirection, the actual announcement is the building, which is obviously a truthful replica of a City 17 sky scraper.

Going to freak the fuck out if there's a Waluigi game. It's probably another Tingle game. Still going to freak out.

That looks pretty pretty!

So, From Software completely reneged on their claim that Dark Souls II was perfect and didn't need DLC, and they weren't making any. I don't care either way, just pointing out that they basically lied to our faces.- 1284 replies

Perhaps it was sick, but how strange that they didn't kill it then. Weird thing.

WHOAAA it's out! I'm hitting the shops today! (No I'm not, I'm out of money.)

It was the weirdest thing when Link didn't jump in the 3D Zelda's, but after a while you get that it would only complicate things. There's an automatic jump as you approach chasms, and I assume the vaulting works well enough for Aiden Mildred Pearce.

That's only good news to me. I actually believe Rocksteady can do something proper with that extra time.

That's pretty neat, but I was much more interested in the Lego scale model of the church in the background that they built! They should make an exclusive set of that.

Nintendo trengthens internal development studios

The main take-away is that you should play to your trengths -
This morning I opened my window to a heinous shrieking across the canal and saw a train of jackdaws swooping down on one of their own. More than their usual crowing, they were actively chanting. I went to pick up my glasses for a clearer look, but as I returned the jackdaws had vanished and all I saw was a black clump in the grass. After breakfast I went to take a look and found the bird still alive, but obviously crippled. It was breathing and peered at me, blinking. I didn't have the guts to kill it to end its misery, but neither the skill to help it to good health - and after that, what? Jackdaws are social animals, ill-suited to domestic life. Once cast out of the group, there's no going back. This poor creature had done something to anger the others, and was doomed as a result.

"Delectable", because Geoff's brain needed an outlet for all the class he'd been storing unused in the Dew Bunker. -
It is, it really is.
