  1. The Humane Game

I'd give it a private reading of "Captain August ~ His Best Dialogues", and its head would explode consequently.
  2. The Giveaway 2: The Singles.

I think the Comic Sans will definitely win him over.
  3. Did we REALLY land on the moon?

You do realise that if we get any more AGS people here, certain brands of topics will most definitely arise again. And Chris may freak out. JAF! *puts on his celebration sombrero and dons a poncho * (wait wrong country)
  4. Jazz Jackrabbit

The first game is a bit unplayable nowadays (those Lego-levels!) because there's too little overview, but the seuqel is still one of the best [PC] platformgames ever. Huge fun, and what's more, huge MULTIPLAYER splitscreen fun!
  5. The Giveaway 2: The Singles.

Yesterday I opened the package from England and was thrilled to see not only the Killzone demo, but also a nice pen AND a SUPERB Idle Thumbs businesscard with Spaff sending me his love :") I haven't played the demo yet so you may havce saddled me with a dog, but here's love back in advance =D
  6. Half Life 2 First Impressions

I saw HL2 in stores today on display, and it looked damn sexy. I had to work so I couldn't take a closer look, but I'll definitely pick this up in a year or two.
  7. Tell Us About Yourself

I can now finally relate to what Yufster is going through, because after a long period of unemployment, I've landed a job at the Mediamarkt, an 'electronics supermarket', where I inform customers about DVD's and CD's at the service desk. Okay it's not games, which I'd rather have seen. But this is good enough as well. And I think I get my fair share of ill-informed customers to direct to the right place. But I enjoy it so far, hopefully the job'll stay good!
  8. Dino Riders is cool. I specifically remember an episode that taught me how treacherous and unpredictable an Evil Overlord can be. Krulos, sporting a watery dome to preserve his saliva-encovered body, had his glass helmet cracked and was dying. Near the end of the episode he was pleading to the good guys' healer woman to save his life. She restored his varia suit and then, in an unforseen and unthinkable turn of events, Krulos, now back to full strength, decided to abandon his promise to leave the dinoriders at peace and launched another massive attack! UNFORGETTABLE!
  9. The horror of working for EA

"It's the dichotomy that keeps gamers coming back!"
  10. a book about chess. yes. chess.

    No, thanks
  11. Half Life 2 First Impressions

Wow, all this talk really makes me wish it was five years from now so I had the right PC and would be able to find it in the budget bin
  12. Attn: Game Designers and Artists.

Very true. But I think it wouldn't be wise to neglect other genres altogehter when you're doing research. There are loads of good things to be found in every genre and you can take the best of each, or come up with new ideas. Of course you were just making a point, and I agree it seems a bit random to look at every good game. And obviously I can't judge whether Perry is just using it to elude his obviously MAD following. But still, his 'challenge' seems like a smart thing to do. If only to increase awareness.
  13. Exclusive show report: GAMEXPO 2004

I was there last year, but not this year because I was busy moving and all that. Still, doesn't look like I missed a lot. last year I primarily went to lobby a bit with the various publishers of gaming magazines that were there. I couldn't care less about the games on display where al the rabid nerds were flocking about.
  14. a book about chess. yes. chess.

I play chess. I love to play it as a hobby at school. I could use a book about chess, in fact I'd like to read it. I could PM you my address, Ryam
  15. uhm...the bible...anyone?...

Just two days ago I finally finished reading the Bible, which took me two years or something. And that book Revelations must be about the weirdest thing I've ever read. How about that? It's just plain CREEPY.
  16. Random people discuss Psychonauts

I'll also miss the fact that it was our little special game. but just remember, all the people that'll buy Psychonauts won't really understand it. Only we will. Because we're op the same wavelength as Tim.
  17. Captain August launches

Yes, I use the exactly the same size every time. I've kind of given up hope for Comic Alert to mail me back any time soon, so I'll just see when it comes.
  18. Attn: Game Designers and Artists.

Perry's designer's challenge is a very good one. I'd learn a great many thing making a lot of lists of my findings on examining every good game to date. I'm bookmarking it for when it comes in handy.
  19. Happy Birthday, Spaff!

    Hurrah hurrah birthday!
  20. Why you should use Firefox

The only reason I still use IE is laziness. Should I then finally switch over? But IE is stil working fine here and I have so little problems with it... don't fix something if it isn't broken...?
  21. My wager? $1337

    Haha, that's rich.
  22. Boredom

Heh. By the way, Shaman King is one of my favourite manga. Hiroyuki Takei has drawn a snappy tale there, I love it.
  23. Fortunately, I have no knowledge of such a song.
  24. Magic. There should have been actual magic in the world. And that I could use that of course.
  25. Captain August launches

    I'm ever so proud =D
