I kinda got into a knot there. Give me a break; I've been drowsy all day

I wouldn't know that. But it doesn't invalidate my initial arguments.

Unless you're a Playstation maniac it's in almost all occasions a bad idea to buy the PS3 immediately. That thing is likely to cost a ridiculous amount of money. Wait one year after its release and the price will drop dramatically. There's still enough life in the current generation of consoles that a purchase is valid and reasonable; certainly for current prices. If you *do* have your mind set on a playstation, it may still be wise to buy the Gamecube. That way you can buy the PS3 as soon as its available for a reasonable price, and you'll have at least two years of fun with the GC. This is also a wise choice because unlike Sony and Microsoft; Nintendo are still going to support their current console fully for the next year. The other two companies are starting to concentrate more heavily on their next ones. It's Nintendo's belief that there is still a lot of things to accomplish with this generation and I happen to agree with that.

It's been taken care of now though: the grey drab of sloshy snow has been replaced by the plentiful paper shrapnel of firework leftovers. Such amounts of red garbage in the streets... random erratic fireworks are such a waste; to nature and to the world. That money could have gone to the typhoondisaster (which in fact was encouraged by many people in newspapers).

Then again- at that particular moment in time, I wanted to write "slug", in "snail"'s stead. Also, I'm proud of Kingz to have hostages and still resist the temptation to bargain for one haendred meeellion dollars.

You're just trying to charm irritate your way into her memoirs. You're so painfully transparant, Beiddie.

I've become a slug. Maybe from the Slurm factory.

No games specifically for Christmas, but I did get a pile of DVD's, which is nice for all sorts of reasons.

A predicted chain of natural catastrophies may be just what the world needed to stand unified against an common [and unblameable] event. Utterly horrible that it would take such extreme measures before we even have a chance of unifying, but there you have it...

Hurray for the French government! Maybe this'll serve as a good excuse for their nuclear tests in the Pacific.

So, between Christmas and Newyear that I was away, you've all managed to come up with this. Beautiful. I want to read Yufsters memoirs. Pronto.

In the Netherlands it was wet and grey as ever. I love it.

Merry Christmas, HO-HO-HO!

Tijuana Christmas and other ironically-appreciated holiday terrors
Roderick replied to Jake's topic in Idle Banter
Oh I can so relate. In the Mediamarkt at work we've been playing christmas song after christmas song. At times you just don't know what to do anymore when you hear the opening tunes of Pariah Carrey's or George Michael's christmas dabs. It got to a point where my barrier had been deconstructed and irridiated to such an extent that I broke down and spawned a tear when I saw The Muppet Christmas Carol. In my defense, it was a touching scene where Michael Cain receives a scarf from one of those scientist muppets after donatiing heavily to the orphanage. -
When I watched the extra's on the The Office 2 DVD a few days ago, I made the mistake of drinking during the documentary. Now my sofa is drenched in water that I blurted out in a fit of hysterical laughter.

Rockstar loves us? Aparently so: GTA2 giveaway!
Roderick replied to ysbreker's topic in Video Gaming
That's cool. GTA used to be a completely different game, one I think I might even like better than the 3D iterations. People should play it. -
I think it would add to the game is you play it in Japanese. Pity I have no PS2.

I had no expectations whatsoever for Tiberian Sun, and therefore was able to enjoy the game quite nicely. It wasn't terrific, but I think a lot of damage was done because it had the C&C name and a big hype behind it. Applause also for the non-rts games from Westwood, both adventure and RPG. And finally, I voted EA because Wicrosoft at least treats its employees respectfully. Like human beings, instead of Maleisian childslaves.

TASTY FUCKING BACON!! Ubisoft was the one big corp that I actually feel sympathetic to because of what they didi in the past and what they're still doing now. FUCK it

What the Hell is going on here?

Come to Daddy is super (the music too). Widowlicker freaks me out HUGELY. I know it's supposed to freak you out and that it's aimed at the sexually explicit videoclip-industry, but STILL. It frightens. I'm a sensitive man.

I bought the complete series of the Office and watched the whole first season a few days ago in a row. Knew them all, but laughed again and cringed once more in the face of David Brent randomly explaining to Dawn during her lunch how he got the scare of his life when he felt a little lump on his testicles XD I love the bit where Gareth breaks down and starts crying in David Brent's office and then gets to pick any one personal belonging of his boss. Brilliance!

Only one way to solve that... we have to bomb the place.
