Breaking the chain of sarcastic ripostes, I'd like to say that I want to buy some supplemental books of the Warcraft RPG one day (when they're lessened in price) because they're great sourcebooks on everything Warcraft. There. Wasn't that beneficial?

I've heard little about The Life Aquatic, but I hear Bill Murray's in it and that's always a movie-saver even if the movie itself sucks. Sin City looks to be fantastic, artwise. The last movie I saw was a press screening of the Japanese Casshern, a completely over-the-top industrial science fiction movie with mecha, bionic heroes and Shakespearian villains. It's the debutmovie of a Japanese videoclip director, so that should tell you enough about how it's a visual rollercoaster of ideas. It isn't always very good (at times it's even disappointingly sloppy), but the moments that Casshern dares to go completely over the top with opera-esque acting are great. An interesting movie, worth looking into.

Yufster, if you don't like cute dogmovies like All dogs go to Heaven, you should see The Plaguedogs. That's one mighty depressing animated movie about rabied dogs. It makes Requiem for a Dream seem like a fluffy romcom.

I don't know actually. From an overall perspective the Cartoon Network shows were closer to me. But then again, Nick had Zim. But then again, Zim was very much Jhonen's work, not Nick's. And Nick canned it. So I guess I don't really have a preference.

Crap... little help please? FF7 on ps2
Roderick replied to General Fuzzy McBitty's topic in Video Gaming
I got there, and believe me, the plot interested me. But the thing is, the story is about the only thing that's any good about the game. Even a story such as this can't make a difference when the rest of the game is so weak and fragmented, incohesive, shattered. -
My bad. Point still valid

Crap... little help please? FF7 on ps2

A good story/concept doesn't make a fantastic game. It even serves to complicate making it truly captivating, as the bigger the story, the better you have to be at telling it. -
I think it's hardly appropriate to compare an auteuristic piece as Zim to meaningless (but winky fun) entertainment rolling off the Nickelodeon assembly line.

Final Fantasy 7 is a game I love to hate. Really. Should I post a non-commissioned but interesting short article I wrote on the forums which details in intricate fashion my latest grudge with it? May I? May I? I SHALL! Also: Truest thing I heard all day! I would've cried like a baby if it had been Tifa's breast!! -
Me and a few buddies have been soiling our pants in anticipation for this game for months. Hairraising awkwardness abides.

Another one for the Dutch Division. European Power!

The Thumb's so ceremonious, more overly; dichotomous. Not in Yufsters poem either. I'm the unluckiest guy in UBB-land.

Naw it's just that Tim has only three more games to make (read his secret list) and he does want to keep it up until he's at least 60. You do the maths.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - latest screenshots

I wouldn't mind having that screenshot painted on my wall. THe whole frigging wall I say! -
My jaw fell to the floor with that Infernal climbing a towery ruin and crossing swords bad breath with a human mage. Amazing! Which makes it all the more excruciating that the moment only lasted a few seconds. I want a minute-long animation with those two duking it out!

Okay I cave Though it was really more that I was disappointed because I was expecting Blizzard to have another one of their familiar movies, which do all feature pronounced narrative (a bar which they themselves raised). I guess when you make a game like WoW this is by far the most logical option. And I didn't like the Night elf, who looked wooden and more like Jack Skellington traversing the outskirts of Halloweentown.

Oh sweet Morrowind :") -
I think it's already sexy.

Maybe that's because the WoW-intro had extremely little narrative content going. Stunning visuals isn't enough in my book; and I was a bit disappointed that it was more of a collage of brief moments than a real narrative masterpiece that I am used to from Blizzard. It suits the game, no doubt, but I would like to see lists such as these rely more on narrative impact than on superficial visuals.

World of Warcraft would be the only reason that I'd desperately want internet on my room. Take a look at this graph: Free time, stress-free life, constructively creative <--> World of Warcraft Fucking tough call!

Still, I hear it's good enough singleplayer. Now all we need, though, is Robots that can handle a controller. Or close friends.

This thread is tense! You all need a massage-a-trois or something.

I am going to read this*. But not now. Tomorrow, rather. (*the full Gamasutra-article. This excerpt was quickly perused.)

Hey! We were talking about my crappy grammar here!

I personally prefer the Gamecube as well, but I'm afraid to let you know that the above statement is of no consequence at all. Thank you.
