Haha, those crazy Asians.

I've something to say that might not need a whole new topic of its own but since I couldn't find another general WoW topic I thought I'd just make it and say my piece Should I be concerned about rumours that European World of Warcraft might not have any Roleplaying servers? Because I'm scared.

Can I say Psychonauts in this thread?

For me, this movie goes directly to the "Daredevil" and "Catwoman" pile of movies about superheroes that I didn't like in the first place. It can still be good, dumb fun, hell it probably will. But I think the Fantastic Four are bizarrely uninteresting in the first place.

I didn't even know he was from SNL. I thought they always played comedies afterwards, not Evil Characters.

My initial reaction was thinking you asked him to marry you.

Earthen Ring is becoming one big Idle fest That reminds me, Tanu, make me a Deadly Blunderbus next time I meet you

Isn't it the usual Zelda-schtick where you select it in the inventory and then throw it with B? I haven't played it (intend to, because everyone's saying that it's good), but I'd be surprised if they had changed it drastically.

Max Zorin is great. Max Shreck is great. The dude from the Weapon of Choice is great. Right now I'm more in a Crispin Glover-mood, but Chris Walken is great too.

Yeah, they're probably just swimming in their filled moneybins the whole day now. You know how they are, always slacking and never delivering anything, period Anyway, for me it's been Resident Evil 4 as hors d'ouvre, soup, meal and dessert. World of Warcraft has taken a backseat now that I've got hordes of eastern europeans to kill. RAWR!

Now why would anyone in his right mind send something like that to Tim? Or maybe this should be taken as inspiration to send him random cereals and breakfastfoods per mail?

What the flip are "Horlicks"?! Don't you dare poison Mr. Schafer, Mr. Kingzjester!

Thoughts: - We've been had! (ironic) - I'm at least partially guilty, though I never saw 'it' as something that should overthrow regular reviews in its entirity, only as interesting secondary articles about a game (no use having a thousand+ standard reviews about any one game, I'd rather see some anecdotal articles beside it!). - It's a nice idea we've experienced this year-long faux-revolution. In the end, it was nice while it lasted, wasn't it? - We're still the same aren't we? Not like our writing is going to change that dramatically now that everything's clear?

The real classic is "we're watching you... ... ... SCUM.", and I hated it so much I used to run to a door whenever an ordinator would say it and exit before he could finish the sentence, before that infernal "scum" portion. Good times.

Yeah, that takes a lot of the zing out of your actions. No matter which house you battle ferociously for, Morrowind doesn't change politically. And when you reach the hightest rank, it doesn't matter at all. The only real thing that changes is how people greet you in relation to your fame in the world.

And people say the touchscreen is nothing but a gimmick... feh! AoE looks to be interesting. If they can capture the feel and quality of AoE2 it'll be great.

Intruigingly, Penny Arcade has put up a pro-PSP rant where they argue that the PSP has far superior launch titles. They then proceed to specify 2 EA-games and one puzzler (which, admittedly, comes from the guy who created Rez and therefore should be interesting)

It may change during its release, but for now I really don't care about this movie.

One of Morrowind's biggest flaws is, indeed, that the game doesn't really interact with you, it doesn't notice anything that you've done or accomplished. That's about its biggest flaw in its immersiveness and completeness, and I have good hopes for Oblivion to solve that. Other than that, it's still a majestic experience. Which will indeed take you thirteen hundred hours to finish. I'm still enjoying and playing the game and haven't seen everything yet, and it's been over three years now that I've been playing. Gorgeous!

Blizzard is going to add more and more stuff for the higher levels in the coming weeks. Battlegrounds, but also big new dungeons with more interactivity and possibilities to direct the outcome of the instance. I still like the game a lot, but to call it the best rpg ever is taking it way too far. When I'm playing, even on a Roleplaying Server, it still always feels like I'm grinding the treadmill to get bigger and better, and not a whole lot else to do. I like the grinding, sure, but the roleplaying of it all isn't very deep. That's also the player's blame of course, but partially also the game's, which doesn't seem to support anything more than a quick conversation and some chairs to sit on. Even on RP, everyone's just running to get to the next quest, because that's all there is to do. It's fine, but I had a far more interesting experience when I was playing Morrowind, which was rich with culture and sported tons of dialogue and books to delve into. And when you look at it more closely, you'll find that WoW is actually pretty linear. Everyone's doing the same quests in the same succession, so there's no diversity or interesting choices there. It's one big treadmill. A beautiful, exciting and somewhat addicting treadmill, but nothing more really.

I think I'm pretty unique them: I'm an actual CASUAL WoW player Really, I play only very now and then. I love the game, but it's a bit repetitive (and that's coming from someone who has played his dignified share of Diablo (II) over the last six years or so), and I haven't touched the game ever since I got Resident Evil 4 last thursday. I find it a lot more captivating than WoW, but that may be only temporary. As for the comment that it's the best RPG ever... I just don't think so. But I still love the game and will play it for a long time. I just wish I had more freaking time to actually play. Now I have to choose between it and RE4, and frankly, RE4 cries victory for the moment.

Childhood memories soiled Vol. 234.... Herbie: Fully Loaded

Luckily, I never gave a damn about that car! -
The biggest joke for me is of course that the game I look forward to most for the DS is the game that is the least DS-specific: Castlevania DS. The sequel to the excellent Aria of Sorrow! I love the Castlevania-series on the Gameboy and am frothing to get my hands on the DS version. Even though the only things to do with the stylus definitely fall into the gimmick-area: carving paths out of iceblocks and drawing pagan symbols to seal off bosses. Still, it looks so delicious (pity they seem to have taken a more generic manga approach to the artwork, whereas they first had very beautiful, more distinct artwork) Now I want a DS as well, right now
