I think if you're doing something three times a week for years and years, you're bound to repeat yourself at one point or another. You can't be hilarious all the time. The Thumb knows this, that's why the only update once in a fortnight.

My experience on the Clickburg webcomic convention:
-
You're overreacting, but it's a question of taste. For the past year, Penny Arcade has in my opinion never been funnier. And I like drowning in thesaurus-saturated rants
-
SO you mean actual songs, not the usual ambient soundtrack fare? If so, I'd go with the Batman soundtrack. It's on the overall very wellconstructed, both in the songs themselves as in the build-up and consistency.

I'm pretty excited, tomorrow I'll be standing on Clickburg, the first Dutch webcomic convention, with my Captain August crew. It's gonna rule. Maybe hundreds of people will see my August animation. I'm dead excited, nervous and hyped up about it. Yeah!

I actually liked it somewhat =) It really had the impression of a game made by just one person, but it had something that made it fun. I never got really far, but I remember being quite intruiged by it. It had a certain je ne sais pas. Charm.

From an objective stance I'm glad Psychonauts didn't waste money on a port for the GC. Because it would've sold the least of all releases. Which is an outrage in its own right, because the Gamecube is an extremely adequate console, just as good or better than its competition. From a fanboy perspective of both, I'm very insulted of course. And crying in my pillow. Upgrading my computer: Playing Psychonauts AND being able to participate in WoW-raids. Hmmmm...

I just wish there was one big ass, damn serious adventure on the DS among the launch titles. I mean a game you can sink your teeth in. (Sorry Chris, I know this is hard for you and I'm being confusing)

Psychonauts: Why hast thou forlorn the Cube of Games?

Just because I like narrative doesn't mean I can't enjoy a puzzlegame. Yeah I know, it's not a core rule I have or something. It's just I couldn't really see any lasting appeal for myself in Wario. So far there aren't really any games that I have to have.
-
Yoshi isn't out yet here, and Wario isn't my thing I think. I've played the demo a couple of times and the whole game for a while, but it really couldn't interest me. I need to have a story, some sort of input on a narrative level, no matter how slight.

aHA! You work secretly for Quicktime and you're trying to get us all to download your little piece of software! Well that's not going to work on us, you hear me?!

I suddenly have a DS myself @_@ How did that happen? Last thing I know I was coercing my friend to make use of an offer for a portable phone where you get two DSs for free (and then your stuck with a two-year contract), and then all of a sudden he comes walking in my room carrying that scrumptious device, and it's all mine, and it only cost me 100 Silverlings =D That's cheap! It didn't have the Metroid Prime Hunters demo with it, but PictoChat is cool, and tomorrow I'm getting Polarium. Then maybe Mr. Driller. Secondhand, if I can find it.

Just finished Watchmen. Alan Moore is a great writer. To think that this stuff was written twenty years ago, and still it's highly original and breaking the mold.

Pirates are so freaking cooler than ninjas.

It puzzled me too for a while.

I don't nearly read as much as I'd like to. I'm mostly into comics, because they don't take as long so I don't have to put in much precious time. I do read lots of high-end comics though. I've been reading through the entire Sin City (Frank Miller) series, currently I'm reading Watchmen (written by Alan Moore). As for real books, the latest thing I read was Warcraft: Day of the Dragon (Richard A. Knaak). Yeah, fantasy pulp rules. Now my friends have urged me to start with The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. But I just don't have enough time to read, and I'm unfortunately incapable of reading in bed (too freaking sleepy or reluctant to).

Would this be good enough for the Blizzard Fanart programme? If not, maybe you could give me some things I could still change to make it right. I'm pretty happy with it already, but maybe the reflection in the goggle is still a bit... artificial.

Look, they're real postcards. Here's proof:

Here's the other one.

Even though I am a fan of Joss, I still thought the trailer reeks a bit too much of selfindulgence. At least in the beginning, when we learn Serenity comes from 'the mind of Joss Whedon', who is 'God' and has 'millions of fans'. Well, it boils down to that But the trailer itself was awesome! WOOHH! But where is Shepherd? Dammit I was so hoping we'd learn about Shepherd! They can't just deny him, like he never existed!

I saw POP2 for 30 Silverlings here, and I didn't buy it. I've got the first and haven't played it yet because I've got tonnes of other games. Besides, I'd like to make a stand against Generic Goth Style. With Angry Sex of Time.
-
yeah, it wouldn't feel right. Well, on the other hand you ARE providing people with regular doses of free entertainment. I wouldn't call it totally free money. From my point of view I'd do merchandising to give people that extra incentive to 'donate'. I wonder if people would donate year after year, even if they are getting massive amounts of comics or songs for free. Internet pulls some weird stuff out of people.

His name is Sausagelips Purplegum by the way.
