I think it should be a nice prospect that you'll have a say in shaping the site and its articles, but of course, the Thumb is pretty... well, not to say avant-garde, but not quite the way a big commercial gamejournalism site would go. Still, 25 to 50K a year.

Oh I think using terms as 'geeks out to the max' already says it quite well enough Agreed though.

Pretty ugly boss.

We're onto you, Aussie Ben.

:9~ I personally also don't caremuch for the dopefish, but that appears to hold some cult value to some. I'm not going to be a nazi about it, for that matter.

(also in PNG format, but not all browsers take that kind of *advanced* transparancy right )

There was a rabid zest to the first one, whereas this was more of a big band/loungy thing. It needs to be more frantic. Or crazier (I can't stop using this thing)

Why are there all of a sudden so many excellent candidates for new Thumb smilies?!
-
Pretty disturbing.

I just recently for the first time watched the first season of Twin Peaks. *Cooper takes a sip of coffee, spits it out violently* ,,Damn good coffee! And HOT!"

All you've done is make me curious towards that poster as well, so now you've spread the damn virus.

Cool though that definitely is, in the end you're not going to look at the keyboard, instead just memorizing wich key stands for what. But, definitely the thing of the future.

They would ALL make an excellent poster. In fact, I think I'd like a collage of all of them on one big poster. That would rock and someone should make it.

No, no, the Macarena is a timelessclassic, already apt for 'nostalgia' summer listening. Quelle horreur
-
Absolutely deserving of attention!
-
YOU'RE responsible for the Macarena? This means WAR, Tanu, BITTER war.

I have to ask; who is that guy in your avatar? He's probably that vaunted guy from Disney's Beauty and the Beast, but I'll lay on you that he could be the spitting cartoon image of Bruce Campbell.

I think this particular behaviour has got more to do with the fact that because of the global village/internet-thingy, all of a sudden we find we're not that unique anymore. Even if there used to be people sharing an interest in social networks of yore, the sheer size of that group is so overwhelming now that we feel like we're all cookiecutter in our interests. That's what leads us to take an even more aggressive approach in trying to be unique. This is not a bad thing in all respects. It's a logical result of becoming exposed to the entire world and the urge to define yourself as an individual becoming emphasized accordingly. I see the bad sides of this. But you can't stop that. The only thing you can hope for is that the smarter ones will either grow past it and Do The Right Thing. I'm sorry, I'm making little sense. [ADD]: Also what Duncan said. You rock.

You do that. In the meantime, I will keep avoiding MTV or any of its clones like poison

Thank you. Sometimes I'm guilty myself of trying to keep things for myself (also see the topic on AGS about anime, where I tell that I will deliberately aviod hype so as to not get influenced by it), because it rings so very true that something is more special if you're the only person knowing about it. But I see your point. And I don't think I would 'hold something back' for everyone to see. It's a fine line one walks, but in the end I'd make a decision for the benefit of the work. And humanity, in keeping with the tone of your bloggish rant.

I haven't played it for two months now as well on account of my excellent internship at Bad Brain and I have to say I don't miss it one bit. I'll likely pick it up because I still have an unused gamecard, but I won't have any problems dropping it. I'm like Tanu, I need to have an ending. Until then, I want to explore the world a bit until I'm done with it. And wait for the real badass interactive RPG experience that is called Oblivion.

Well, as soon as you find out...!

For some reason I like Owen Wilson and his nose. He's funny.

I hate summer hits. I also dislike radio, or music television. If I want to get stuffed with the same songs over and over, I'll just... wait I don't want that in its totality. I listen to music on selected cd's, and that's completely it. Radio and music television are anathema. And summer hits their persona non gratas.

The noir I saw recently was Steve Martin's Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. I needn't say more. The few qualityfilms I saw recently were American Splendour and Magnolia. Is it just me, or does Tom Cruise have just as many one-liners as Arnold, but gets way more slack for it? 'Show me the money', 'Respect the c*ck', an I'm sure there's a heap more but I'm not a Cruise fan or anything so I wouldn't know. Clue me in.
