I watched an interview Gamepot held on the floor (literally) with Perrin Kaplan, and she stated that the Wii's price will be something that 'everyone will like' and can afford. Now to me, that sounds more like 200 than 250. But I guess we'll just see, and everything else is speculation. Perrin has a bit of a creaky voice though. The sound of it wasn't so appealing to listen to.

Naww. It'll be there in multiplayer as well, but I'm guessing it's either a one-time thing, or a rare power-up (the Smash Bros item you saw in the video) or just something that is either very difficult or takes very long to execute.

Episode 1 eat your heart out!

It's really quite easy. Any humanoid buying my book must really be of some secret royal lineage to have such exquisite taste and manners. The violin smily is an addition and I welcome it!

He was basically making the same jokes in the video, admittedly, but man, he was really ripping open a can of quips there. It sounded all really ad libbed. I don't know if the entire thing was staged or at least pre-planned, but it's a sympathetic performance and I always like these little unexpected things.

I share your concern about the powermoves, but it's obviously all in the balancing. As long as there's enough of a chance to avoid them, it could be a nice addition. As long as we're making a character wishlist, how about Leon S. Kennedy? Or Dr. "chainsaw" Salvador, for that matter?

Rayman DS is kind of cheap right now, but I've read some reviews too and they say it's also mediocre at best. I fear that it's just a sloppy version then. However, I think I'll just try to find some copy somewhere to try it out for myself. That'll be the only way to know for sure if it's good or not.

I actually don't think Reggie is corny. What's corny about him? I'm not asking this in his defence or anything, I just don't see anything of the sort on him.

Get out.

I'm watching the Nintendo conference for the third time and it's still super awesome. I believe in the revolution of gaming

I'd buy the Playstation 4, if it were to have time-travelling functionality.

This is kinda cool! (Wii conference related)

I believe he and Miyamoto beat Reggie and Iwata. Or am I mistaken? -

Hey, that's nice. I really don't have anything else to say about it, you know. To me he's still kind of a complete stranger -
So, back to this... it would seem there already was something like this Way to go, Thumbs. Wuxtry! Joker pulls boner of the year.

I actually played halfway through Mario 64DS just using the d-pad and normal buttons. And even that worked very well! I concur about what was said about Mario Kart. That is just awesome 3D, right there on the DS. It works. Hey, and how does Rayman look and play? Is it OK in comparison to Mario?

It makes even more sense when you consider that GBA games are always ridiculously priced and never, ever go budget. Not the upper tier in any case. And so you get crazy situations where something like Yoshi's Island -which has been around for over a year and a half, or two, or whatever- still costs 45 Euros. Thank god that DS games are treated like real console titles, with all the fluctuations in price that go with it.

Yeah, that's what I meant when I said it was smart. It was breaking the fourth wall but in a totally fitting way, delivered with zest and panache. Hell yes. Did anyone read the comic I made?
-
Actually, if it's all the same to you, gentlemen, I've long since decided I'll wait for the Wii. That way I'll get to play Yoshi's Island on the big screen again, in all its glory.

Oh YEAH! I can't believe how confidently fun this is. It would have been so easy to make it supercheesy with kids and 'their parents playing too!', but this thing just has style. Do I smell momentum? Do I smell a wave of gaming really reaching everyone? (Maybe not resting necessarily on Rayman's nonexistent shoulders, but this post is expanding beyond the topic, clearly)

For the first time ever I heard something genuinely funny from Sam & Max, or rather, something I didn't see coming a mile away or thought was predictable in terms of dialogue. I think it's in good hands with TellTale, because it seems to come out really sharp and clever. The trailer was a lot smarter than the old Lucasarts' one. I'm intruiged, proceed.

Ahhh, industry shenanigans. You gotta love it.

Aye, but you DO learn the techniques, which would in theory make the transition to real swordfight (which would eventually be the ultimate goal of course, Highlander in the real) easier. You just have to adjust to the weight of a sword and your timing, but you know the moves and the rules of engagement. Am I making sense?

Yeah, it was basically spot on =) I love Mario in that shot. He actually displays some character instead of just being happy and energetic.
