I don't know. It just felt like I didn't have enough freedom of movement, which is ironic if you see how confined you usually are in this genre. Still, when playing Smash Bros I've got the platformer mindset and I expect the jumping and feel to be likewise.

I hope it's more akin to season 4, as 5 was a bit disappointing (although some characters got some well-deserved fleshing out: especially Dr. Cox and Bob Kelso really came alive some more for me this season). Still, I want to see it anyway. Is it out yet?

Hmmm, I hope the controls will be more intuitive this time around. I never got around the last ones' where it was pretty awkward to jump. I can't believe how boring Fox is though. There's really only one question I have: will DR. JESUS be in there?

We all know what happened when Marek risked putting an animating GIF online. Dancin' Marek is still a phenomenon. That is why I want you to understand it is not lightly that I present... Boxin' Rodi

By the way, I didn't dress up, but I did make pumpkins:

Yeah, and giving out promotional points if you participate with stuff... basically they could transfer the Star points system they now have online onto the Wii. That'd rock.

That is a pretty awesome fucking costume. Good job guys! You make zombielovers everywhere proud. I love how it's part Shaun of the Dead, part Corpse Bride.

I spent three months charging myself up for this attack. You might have felt the electricity swirling unchecked throughout the atmosphere as I kept grumbling from the back of my throat.

I want these motherfucking zombies out of my motherfucking fog!

Ahahaha! The more bad news I hear of that worthless piece of upcoming scrap plastic, the better! I'm not really angry.

Haha, this is pretty funny, because I went to a Nintendo thing too where I played with the Wii; some Zelda and Monkey Ball and Sports. So the woman on the cover is a Von Karma? That's pretty interesting. That explains why she's whipping detective Gumshoe on the cover of the soundtrack. Don't tell me anything else though, I'd like to find out on my own =) It may take a while before I start playing because I've got other games to finish first and I want to savour this.

Today I received PHOENIX WRIGHT 2 straight from Japa- Hong Kong. Thank you Play Asia and thank you Aussie Ben (for the tip)! Also, the Japanese cover is approximately 200 times more beautiful than the fugly American one.

Yes, a boycot! I'm doing it as well. Even though I don't own a single Sony product, and haven't for at least ten years. -
JAF! Stick around this time, will you? =D

New Super Mario Bros felt very stagnant to me, despite the onslaught of added things. It was a lot of fun, but also an ever-increasing feeling of deja-vu. I don't know what this means, but maybe old-school Mario is starting to bore me, and no inclusion of walljumps and buttstomps can fight it. More radical change is needed and maybe Galaxy is it. (Although the 3D series haven't bored me so far, neither have they captured me extremely. I completed Sunshine and appreciated it quite a bit despite its infuriatingly difficult bits and sometimes uninteresting level design, and I went halfway through Mario 64, which had cooler levels.) (Now that I think about it, the only level in Sunshine I adored was the harbour where there were huge vertical constructions for some real Mario balancing acts. The rest of the levels really weren't that fantastic and memorable, unfortunately. They were fun, but no more.)

Charming movie. Was this made by hacking the Windwaker engine or something? Or a faithful recreation of all the graphics and animations?

He was! Yesterday I started replaying Lands of Lore 1 and it's amazing how much quality and style they poured into the game. I shudder when I think of the qualitative discordance that was the second (and third) instalment. But damn, those Kyrandia games were so... pleasant. Just pleasant. To the eye, ear and mind. Fuck realism and fuck 3D, they can't even approach the innate charm of those 2D fantasy worlds.

Is there a whole lot of text in Megaman ZX? I'm asking this because the Japanese version costs about 25 Euros or something, while the English one will set me back about 50.

Quite simply, this incident is now serving as an example. A lightning rod that attracts all our gripes with bad journalism.

Yes, I found myself saving quite often in the last case. The video evidence part is awesome though. I am surprised how nice they made that work, it doesn't feel gimmicky at all, but rather smart and inventive. Pity the second PW wo'n't have a new DS-specific case in it.

I'm hijacking this thread for two exclamations, angry fist et al: why is Westwood gone, and why did they stop making adventures! (and only produced crappy sequels to Lands of Lore instead of awesome ones!)

According to what Aussie Ben told me, it is. And it's coming out next week, dirt cheap. So I'm getting it.

I just finished Phoenix Wright, just now, really, two minutes ago. DS adventures rock! With Touch Detectives coming up, and all the other wonderful games mentioned above... the DS stays strong as, basically, the best console that ever was.
