I just saw the Silent Hill movie. I have yet to form any decisive opinion on it. It wasn't bad. I don't know yet if it was good, but it wasn't terrible. Especially not for a game movie.

LOPcagney, consider yourself excommunicated with extreme force!! -
What's this now, Marek? I posted a reply but it awaited your permission or something. I have no idea what happened there. Didn't contain any terrorist ideologies, to my knowledge.

PERFECTION. -
Rusalka, you look pretty young yourself in those pictures. Also, my mum could beat your mum in a catfight. Or possibly a bagpipe contest.

One more for 321, and Mr. Greene is going to get a raspy voice from all the pages in the end. /chuckling with delight -
Do you have a chipped or region 1 Xbox then, to be able to buy those from the US?

Ok! Nobody vote anymore! This way we'll have thrice the Eggerton-Eggerton Greene! -
I saw King Kong for the Gamecube here in the Netherlands for a measely 10 Euros. Which is awesome cheap. Hitman: Blood Money for the 360 is about 40 Euros in some stores, so I'm waiting until it drops just a bit more. I can wait. I don't even have a 360 yet =D

Wow. That basically means that until 2008, the PS3 will be only for the hardcore gaming crowd that has money to spare. Casual gamers won't even touch this thing for years. And that might actually be disconcerting, because it might mean that the only games successful in the first two years will be hardcore stuff, kind of deciding what sort of console the PS3 will be. Ah well, we'll see.

I've jumped on the 113 bandwagon. -
You've been missing out on one of the greatest platformers on the original Gameboy. He had three transformations in Warioland 1. Fecking awesome game.

Pity. I loved the first Sin.

I also really like how Children of Men was shot. However, I had expected something more of it. I dunno. Maybe because I was reminded of the Y: The Last Man comic books. I somehow felt that the premise could have called for something more epic, though instead it was a very personal, intimate movie. I'm not criticising it for it, because it was very good. It just wasn't what I was expecting.

It's more than great; it's the best puzzle in the world. So fulfilling! It has all the instinctive greatness of minesweeper, yet combined with the elegance and infallability of a crossword puzzle! And in some cases, even Mario themed! Holy smack! It's THAT great!

YES!! Praise to baby jesus! Feck Sudoku; Picross is the best puzzle game of all times! I'm going to enjoy this!

You'll adjust. It's just a completely unique game. That always needs some adjusting. Don't let yourself be disheartened by the brutality of some of the bosses!

Bookmarked too. Let those industry secrets rip! (Also, if you want, you could put a link to Captain August in the sidebar After all, I've been sporting an Idle Thumbs link for years as well!)

I guess when you wrap yourself around the simulation aspect, most of my complaints are annulled. Personally, however, I can't forlorn not regarding games as stories (even if they don't actually have a story -rather simply consisting of the basic law of nature: beginning, middle, end). If something like a satisfying ending is missing, that just just bothers me. In which case it is just as well my own fault. Nevertheless, my arguments may not have a great impact on the validity of the game/genre, they are still valid complaints. Just not relevant to everyone, but certainly grounded in feelings that many share.

I have a foolproof system: an external harddrive that is an exact mirror of my computer's. All new files first go to 'limbo', which is my desktop, and once it starts getting outrageously cluttered, I clean it up by simultaneously copying the files to both my internal and external drive. Barring the house burning down or amazing bad luck, it's a good and safe system, requiring minimal work.

Hehe. Well, such things teach at least the virtues of the back-up.
