I, for one, am happy with it, because never having owned a PS2 I never had the chance to play it thoroughly. Now at leas it will get some more exposure and there will be no reason not to play it anymore

Original idea? More like aboriginal hernia <-- oi! no more of this shit

Haha! =D -
Molyneux had better make me shed some serious tears on level 12, or I'm calling shenanigans.

Unexpected news, to be sure. But very good. Will there be a big difference between the three versions, speculatively speaking?

Hey, it's how every perfectly fine democracy starts to slip away into tyranny. You have a fine set of predecessors, nothing to be a ashamed of there.

The current GamesTM (with Hellgate: London on the cover) has a rather good interview with the Ryan and Rab from CV, with lots of saucy photographs. Since they don't get a whole lot of mention from the mainstream press, it's pretty nice to see them getting such a nice, six page interview. It doesn't reveal anything new unfortunately, but it's fun to read, standing in the shop waiting for the train. Because I'm a cheap bastard.

Awesomesauce! I'm sure Miyamoto cherishes the pic as well

Of course. Quite a different show than Farscape though. But very nice as well. A completely different angle on sci-fi. Pity the series was left dangling somewhat, and the movie didn't completely fill in on its potential.

Baby T is the official Idle Thumbs baby. Also, it amazes me to no end how he can already look so British.

Ooh, that's nasty.

Whenever Molyneux is involved, you need to have an automatic failsafe system that says: don't expect literally everything or anything to make it into the game in the way you were lead to believe. And you'll be fine. The guy has disappointed me severely in the past, but cynism and an adversity to his delighted rants are not the answer -that's a dead end. Just take it with a grain of salt, know where you stand, and go along for the ride. Rise and shine! Opportunities for talking about emotion in games are here! Just don't forget to put on your wanking hat

Hmm, seen from that angle, I have to concur that Crush appears to theoretically hold deeper 'flipping' gameplay. Hopefully Mario will surprise us yet; because the chances of me getting a PSP are close to zero. My avatar was a fortunate find on Google. You'd be surprised how little nice pictures there are of Scorpius. Most are tiny, blurry or not that pretty. Ohh, last week I blasted through season 4 of Farscape, which I hadn't seen before, and then topped it off with Peacekeeper War. Delicious. Pity I didn't dream of it, though my head was brimming with wormholes and whatnot.

Ah, of course I've seen the videos. I mean; we'll have to see how it eventually all comes together. Black & White also had exciting videos, but proved to be less than enjoyable. That's what I mean. But the videos are already very promising. I hope it turns out to be as awesome as it seems.

Yes, I'm curious what your gripe is with what Molyneux said here, Thunderpeel? Sure, it's typically wacky and reaching for the sky, but you can't fault the guy for trying, right? We'll have to see how it eventually works in the game, but I like what he's saying here so far.

I think it's totally surprising that there's something this good coming out for the Wii when it hasn't been around for a year. Of course, it's a GC port , so that explains a lot. But why complain?

Yes, I know that trailer. Is it coincidence that this idea suddenly pops up in two different games, or is there some wilful 'inspiration' from one of the parties to the other? Not that it matters, but I find it amusing that the idea should suddenly surface twice. That said, not a single follicle in my brain (yes) doubts that Super Paper Mario will come with a lot more creative uses for the idea. The things we've seen so far are only from the first level or so. Also, I don't really like the look of Crush; it's too... drab, too indistinct. Compare that to the striking visuals of SPM (even if I don't find those particularly beautiful either)...

Like I said in the other thread; this must be mine immediately. I just can't go on another day without turning scenery around and solving puzzles like that NOW.

Ocarina of Time? More like Cock Arena of Slime... spoilers

I thought that was a weird fight too. Took me two or three times. I recall that I didn't necessarily use magic, but I can't be sure. Something with bombs and running between his legs. I dunno. -
The [N]Gamer featuring my 6-page review of Twilight Princess is finally out, and in it a surprise sure to please all Thumbeteers! Those who read Dutch anyway. Thanks to n0wak for allowing me to use his awesome animated GIF of course. The column wouldn't be the same without it!

The trailers for Super Paper Mario are awesome and I want to play it RIGHT NOW. No more battling stages; but just classic Mario style action! How awesome is that! And that bold and sometimes even plain ugly use of retro Mario graphics! I just have to experience it!

Ah, I saw the award show yesterday. Tim sounded rather rehearsed, but I guess you can't go all-out for an official ceremony. Quite nice though. Especially when everyone started emulating the Line racer guy that just said ,,WHOOOO!" after winning the award. Haha, especially Miyamoto's attempt at it was fun.
-
Does anyone know of a transcript of Tim's opening of GDC? (Or at least, I though he was going to open it?)

That video didn't look half bad. Why all the hate? It looks decent enough. Especially by independants.

Finally, some PS3 news that is absolutely positive. It looks great. I think it's a good idea. If they nail the execution, of course. But it looks to be something really special. About time. But I'm not going to spoil this party by complaints. Good stuff.

Damn you, Marek Bronstring, for all apparent reasons.
