I can't say lots about Brown yet, but I reflect your aunt in that I was first enthusiastic about Blair, until he became the Bush-lapdog he remained until quite recently. Now he's in the lift again with his lofty agenda of settling the Israel/Palestine dispute. He'll likely not succeed, but at least he's not warmongering anymore. Of Brown I only know he's conservative, a bit harsher and more brutal than Blair, but also a Stalinist? I don't know. I read a lot of things. We'll see.

The second issue was already in the original game: it forces you to make a decision to either flee or fight. You can't do both. This enhances the tension as you'll see the bad guys slowly skulking towards you. I expect this game to be good. I'm glad about the lower price point, though it's still too high to justify upgrading a perfectly good Gamecube edition that also works on the Wii.

Nice. That guy'll get hired somewhere.

Omg. Next thing I know I'll be wiped from photos as well!

Wait a tick, Vimes. I'm the same like you, I don't like a super-difficult challenge either, yet I wouldn't describe myself as 'not an über-gamer' at all! I don't think the way in which you enjoy experiencing a game says anything about the die-hardness with which you are enveloped in your pastime. It's a matter of taste and disposition. We are both hardcore gamers, but simply with acquired tastes and nothing to prove anymore Anyway, Meat Circus was a bitch, especially because of the time-pressure that was being forced on you. If there's one thing I despise in most all games that have it, it's time pressure. Doesn't matter if it's lenient; as soon as there's a clock I'm getting stressy and assume I don't have time to leasurely enjoy the game as I choose. A frustrating game I'm playing/reviewing now is Spider-Man 3 for the Wii. Hotdamn that game is difficult to control. Webslinging is a pain in the butt. Fortunately, the game is crap in all areas, so I'm burning it to the ground in my review for [N]Gamer. Also, we NEED that Dr. Jesus game, stat.

Yeah, as an idle activity to kill commuting time it's nice -but still as dreadful as mindlessly watching junk TV at night when you don't want to go to bed. It's only a small effort to take a book with me that will actually make me that much smarter, sharper, or more entertained. And if that fails, it's time to whip out the auld DS, which never fails to provide the best console experience a man could hope for. Also, that Pac-Man skull is effing creepy. Good show!

Age of Wonders was probably the first Dutch title to be of some quality and reaching underground success. Of course, nowadays our biggest title is still the unDutchly professionally produced Killzone.

Who knows what this will become. Might be awesome. Might be crap. I never liked the Sonic games, so maybe I'll like this because it'll likely be nothing like them?

Game development in our country is really blooming. It's terrific, and cathartic after a decade of Davilex poop like A2 Racer and Amsterdoom.

Thrik, whence does your avatar come?

Hey wait, I thought I posted this in the chit-chat forum? Man, I'm losing it.

Hehe. Wouldn't surprise me to see Bummed In The Gob part two soon.

After a quick excursion to dictionary.com; yes, yes indeed. Though the word wasn't completely unsuitable here, I think? Certainly not to warrant a bolded and italicized Holy Shit?

You just go and play Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos and I'll see you back in a jiffy -
Yesterday I saw Apt Pupil for the first time. That's something you don't see every day: apparently fascism is a virus that you can contract and that makes you Evil? Behind its 'edgy intelligent' facade was a very shallow movie. Bit of a disappointment, but it had its strong points. After that came the colourful French comedy/drama/musical 8 Femmes. Why are good movies like that aired only after midnight and not getting the attention they deserve?

I know. It was basically an invitation for a virtual pummelling. I guess I'm just a bad man.

Haha, you must really hate me for having a small pause in updating Captain August right now we're at the start of the final scene of the story. Graduation's a bitch. In a few weeks I expect it to be going again, but I can't say for sure. I've got enormous amounts of animating to do

Being caught up in the Mac vs. PC argument was fun for the first few years of my MBO education 7 years back, but it doesn't interest me anymore. The thing I've learned is that the two computers don't really differ that much from each other. I've seen as many Macs crash erratically as I've seen PC's do it. At the same time, I've had utterly stable experiences with PC's. It's all about the software, and the age, and the way it's used. PC's have the advantage of accessibility and that you can tinker with them and exploit them and completely make them 'your own'. Macs have the advantage of being out of the box, and slightly more stable usually, and they look prettier. For my part, I like the PC interface better, but the Mac GUI is certainly not without its charms. The people who are genuinely caught up in this 'war' (without economic/corporate motives) have either just had random bad or good experiences with either machines, or foster some mysteriously ephemeral hate for either Microsoft or Apple or the fanbase that supports them. None of these arguments have any real, objective value. Stop being childish. (That said, I like the Mac ads with the two people. I think they're subtle, and funny, and charming.)

Ahh man, I'll be slaving away all summer; cause my Master programme ends at the end of August. I'm doing the same school and programme that Marek did a few years back. That makes me cool around here, doesn't it? Huh? Well?

For some reason, Siamese kitties always come across as horribly mutated. Those long snouts... it just seems wrong.
