That's called 'coulrophobia', fear of clowns I treat it in my thesis on the movie.

Yeah. Of all the things to play religiously... why Madden? At least WoW has zounds of content that you can explore until the end of times. I'm sure Madden plays nice and all, but come on.

I tried those things for about half a year some time back, but I never achieved a lucid dream, which leads me to believe I'm for some reason not susceptible to them. A few days back I dreamt of being stabbed in the chest and arm by the Joker through a refridgerator in which I had locked him, and it did not occur to me that this might not be an actual situation as it was unfolding.

This is much like the idea of the walnutsized utility in the ass that expands to the size of a tv set when nearing a child. Also, would we have to look on Google Pead all the time just to be safe? Can't it be integrated in otehr appliances as well? Say I'm microwaving dinner, I'd appreciate being able to keep an eye out at the same time.

That sounds like priceless knowledge Spaff took from Amsterdam!

We have special arrangements where a unicycle-shaped helicopter picks you up where ever you live and flies you to a specially constructed, dedicated cinema called 'The Internets' where the movie is broadcasted every hour, on the hour, for the coming forty years. Would that suit m'lord? Hehe. If needs be I'll sneak it online clandestinely just so y'all can watch it. brkl; those myriad plastic breasts are there just for you!

I know exactly what you mean. We're striving to make everything 'gritty' enough to fit with the rest of the footage. At the same time, the aim is to alienate and unnerve, so as a short 'art' film it's not a big problem if the two styles feel a bit disjointed. My role in the project is 'founder' (it's my graduation project and no one else's), writer, storyboarder and co-director. I also do the animations and supervise the project along with the other director, who does a study in directing (whereas I'm an animator). For the rest there's a whole team in charge of the music and sound, special effects, editing, colour correction, you name it. It's a big project. It's very exciting. I'm still psyched that I was able to find so many people willing to support my insane ideas about the downfall of a psychotic clown

We had an excellent light guy, yeah The movie's not quite CGI heavy: it's intersected with the occasional animated sequence. There are also some special effects. What's your concern?
-
What, seriously? Because Resident Evil 4 never lets you go far without a savepoint. I certainly don't recall any gruelling bits where I had to start over way, way back. This isn't Metroid Prime, you know! Now THAT's a game that sometimes defines gruelling start-overs.

You'd look EVEN BETTER with the hollowed-out, flabby outer membrane that was once Peter Molyneux' skin wrapped around you as a flaccid cocoon. Too graphic?

The movie on the site unfortunately doesn't work for me. I've got the latest Flash plugins but apparently I'm still missing something. The episode was fun, as always. I'll watch it again soon. Wasn't perhaps as good as the first one, but what the hey. I too thought the reviews were a bit dragged out and not as witty. But the atmosphere's still good. Oh and the review of Torrente 3... where do hey get those games?! That was fun.

Spaceman came down to answer some things, the world gathered 'round, from paupers to kings, 'I'll answers your questions, I'll answer them true, I'll show you the way, you know what to do.' Who is wrong and who is right? Yellow, brown, black or white? Spaceman he answered, 'you no longer mind, I've opened your eyes, you're now colourblind.'
-
That's precisely the argument with which I won that earlier discussion Without the Steven Colbert reference. I should do that by the way. It's quite a nifty trick: just be colourblind in these situations and there can be no talk of racism.

I'm desperate to play Sousaphone Hero! Why hasn't it been released yet in Europe?

Yes, but that statement is such a horribly skewed view on what is actually happening. It SHOULD read: 'a sole skilled agent killing a bunch of zombies because he has a job to do'. But what the girl wrote on that blog is the same as writing: 'a sole white supremist killing a bunch of negro untermensch because he's part of the Ku Klux Klan'. It's a completely overblown statement that speaks of huge ignorance of what's actually happening. Desperate to inspire exactly that visceral first reaction -while it has little bearing on what's actually happening in the game.

Anyone want to bet on how long it takes before the original post is altered so as to cover up the original intent?

Like I said in a discussion about this a week ago (on some other nondescript place on The Internet), the most you can accuse Capcom of is (either deliberately or not) not taking into account the historical sensitivities with these topics. That doesn't justify those sensitivities, and it's certainly bullshit that there's any racist thought behind the game, but there you have it. That said, there is no reason why Capcom or anyone *has* to take these things into account. They're making games, not social commentaries. In this case, being opinionated in a way that is different from me would be taking the zing out of everything about life; indeed to be sterile.

You had me doubting there, though, for a moment. I knew Sophie wasn't it, but I couldn't remember her proper name. So I just Wiki'd it. Yeah. The joke's on me!

Then I must be the exception to the rule: I started out with the first one on the NES, then years later Ocarina on the Gamecube, but my favourite is The Wind Waker
-
Very nice that you're enthusiastic about it. The game definitely has that level of polish that makes it shine. The girl's name is Ashley though, not Sophie. Let's blame it on the virus.

I want to see that one. I really like Satoshi Kon's last movie too: Millennium Actress. A nicely underplayed, subtle feel-good drama. Everything your parents think Anime wasn't.

Because Pokémon is such a touch-screen light game, I never use the stylus but just tap the screen slightly with my pinky's nail (to avoid both scratches and oily stains, you see). But I must say that the comparison between the styli/uses of the normal DS and the Lite results in a heavy preference for the latter. Perhaps a big stylus is simply better in use? Of course, you can't chuck this bastard into the machine, so it's a bit ungainly to carry around; taking away from the 'portable' aspect. The Dialga figure on top is quite nice though. I mean; it's an aberration, but a nice one.

Goddamn amen.
