  1. Uh, Phoenix Wright 3 is out for the DS...

No, other than that the Japanese-English version will sometimes have a negligent amount of spelling errors. 2 had those here and there, but they're hardly worth noticing in the tidal wave of good writing. Also, I got my copy of Phoenix Wright 3 and started playing. I also got the bonus alternative covers, but they are hugely disappointing, even as a free gift. They're uglier than the original covers and they come on one pamflet, so you can use it on only one box which then apparently has to hold two games? Bizarre.
  2. Preordering?! More like prewhoredering!

Aye, pre-orders can net you cool stuff, but it's only necessary with limited runs of things; collector's editions etc. There's no way you can score a decent Blizzard CE without preordering for instance.
  3. Uh, Phoenix Wright 3 is out for the DS...

You were informed correctly. It's only the budget Japanese release that is just out that has the English option. Standard Capcom practice. The Western version will be here in a mere month; but ordering it will get you the game within a few days (and not to mention 20 Euros cheaper).
  4. Uh, Phoenix Wright 3 is out for the DS...

No, Phoenix 2 just goes merrily along with the difficulty where it left off in the first game. I expect 3 to be brutal (Though in part 2 I already got the feeling that they were stretching logic a tad here and there, so I had to resort to using everything on everything on more than a few occasions.)
  5. Captain August is back

    Initiating climactic ending; now!
  6. Totems

Oh it's definitely charming as heck. It has just aged extremely poorly and it will take some serious effort of the player to adjust to the graphics. The rewards are great, but the initial effort is steep.
  7. Uh, Phoenix Wright 3 is out for the DS...

Sorry I didn't mention it. I did pre-order it though, at Play-Asia and if all goes right it'll arrive at my door somewhere tomorrow. Huzzah! I love English language budget Japanese versions of games!
  8. Totems

Outcast's buggy as hell, and the crippling voxel engine ensures it only runs at extremely low resolutions. It's like looking at a jagged, animated saw for hours on end. But once you see past that, you'll obviously get sucked into one of the most charming fantasy worlds ever created. It'll still be buggy though. Appeal was working on Outcast 2 before it combusted, but apparently it was shaping up to be a lot more action-oriented and mediocre, so I think it wouldn't have lived up to the perfect action-adventure hybrid that was the first game.
  9. Gingers will be extinct in 100 years

Or the ginger restoration breeding programme of 2057.
  10. Picross DS!

This is excellent! So YOUR mother is Nicole Kidman! It's all coming full circle!
  11. Totems

I loved Outcast to death for years (though bugs prevented me from finishing it, always got stuck in Okaar the forest world). But to be honest, Totems will need to convince me all over again, because I know little of it and for all we know it could suck. I'm not willing to put my money on a company who's made only one game (okay, two, some generic racer also) that came out almost 10 years ago, even if it was a brilliant game. Their Outcastian legacy makes me take notice, but Totems will need to reach it on its own merit.
  12. Zero Punctuation

Yes, I mean, Psychonauts obviously didn't have the most polished gameplay ever, and Yahtzee just said it like it was, and that it didn't matter because charm and atmosphere usually trumps everything (barring extremely mediocre or apalling gameplay of course).
  13. Picross DS!

Oh you silly boys, the buttockclown was obviously aimed at Elmuerte who carelessly threw the games on the same heap. I agree with the rest of you that there may not be a algorithmical difference, but there sure as hell is an... experiental difference!
  14. Bioshock: PC or 360? [NO SPOILERS!]

I just played the first half hour at a friend who had managed to find the full copy, and the atmosphere was so thick I had to scrape it out of the corners of my eye at the end. My god it's rich. Perhaps the game will spiral down after a while in predictability and repetitiveness (though the odds are against it), but whatever flaw one might find; Bioshock's atmosphere, setting and polish make it a must-buy for me and an instant classic. Freaking melting jesus.
  15. Picross DS!

You buttockclown! Picross is nothing like Sudoku! Picross is far more interesting. In essence it may be the same, but Picross challenges you in a different way; a more visual way, which immediately makes doing it a lot more appealing than watching the same grid over and over again as with Sudoku. Also; if that monstrosity were my father, I would have to be locked up in a dungeon. A dungeon that was positioned in the river Styx itself.

Good one, and surprisingly fair! Good quips, also. And I stopped just short of hurting myself with the pencil.
  17. Picross DS!

More like Tim Curry in Rocky Horror. So you got caught with a flat, well... how 'bout that?
  18. Picross DS!

Miffy's father is absolutely the guy from Monty Python's Lumberjack Song. Cause, he's so okay, you know!
  19. Picross DS!

O thank god. I thought studly handsome Thumbs Miffy for a second there
  20. The best song ever

Actually, I imagined us in a comfy love bucket.
  21. Mignola & Max

ohhhh that is awesome that you asked that just now here i go This literally means I'm running at them now with my pants down.

Audrey Hepburn is DUTCH? She certainly doesn't sound like it. The boy who stuck his finger in the dyke (and wouldn't we all want to do that at some point in our lives?) is called Hansje Brinker and he is, how shall I put it, imaginary at best. An urban legend, I believe. If he were my dad, that would make me ephemeral to a certain extent. Try out Erasmus next, and see if I can resist the temptation of refuting. [ADDED]: Toblix; YES. 2 Unlimited is/are my father! You win the internet!
  23. Picross DS!

I'm a Dutchman. Let's see who you can come up with, because apart from Paul Verhoeven there aren't many other extravagantly worldfamous Dutchies.
  24. Picross DS!

Allow me to show my sophistication and knowledge of Irish culture: is your dad Peter Corry?
  25. Double Fine

    Well, you know.
