  1. The buttons seem to appear where the action is. Look out, bitch, it's on the knife! Now it's on the leg!
  2. I might have been too lazy to start its own thread so hijacking was the way to go.
  3. The Heavy Rain trailer showed a game without an art style featuring one giant quicktime event. Anyone up for that?
  4. The Wrath of the Lich King intro cinematic, however, made me fangasm. And could someone tell me how the hell Blizzard managed to resurrect the voice actor that did King Terenas in Warcraft III? 'Cause he died shortly after. Apparently World of Warcraft's success gives Blizz powers over the afterlife
  5. OMG, Penny Arcade just announced they're turning the site into something supergay called 'bogey golf". They can't do that! That's just fucking GAY.
  6. penny archade becomes bogey golf!

It's about "Comedy", misdirection, seeing how far they can push their audience, brilliantly mischievous.
  7. Assassin's Creed

Let's hope they're going to expand the concept to include more varied ways of deathdealing in the inevitable sequel. Assassin's Creed may have been flawed, but if there's one thing I love, it's a flawed but hugely ambitious game. AC does a lot of things really well, like the parcours, and the goddamn atmosphere and visual appeal. Wow.
  8. Now that's class you can't buy.
  9. Soulcalibur IV

I played it a bit and it's a nice button-bashers. I don't know anything about fighting games, but Soul Calibur is over the top and looks freaking sweet. Really impressive, visually.
  10. Snuff Box...

Oh damn, now I'm laughing uncontrollably too. I'm downloading this.
  11. Limbo Of The Lost: EPIC FAIL

Hahaha, Macarena of the Missing! Polonaise of the Perdus Foxtrot of the Forgotten Bolero of the Bevanished
  12. New people: Read this, say hi.

Hi there Modium! Don't be intimidated by our awesomeness, just post away and we'll love you =)
  13. Brutal Legend, more like... oh fuck

Fuck that, they don't even have to watch the internet to understand this thing is highly marketable and has a high chance of success. Thematically it fits perfectly with the now incredibly popular Guitar Hero rocking craze, and with the backing of not only lots of big metal names, but especially the very publicly loved Jack Black, how could they fail to understand the potentially huge appeal this title can garner? The mind just boggles, and I'm preparing my shiv.
  14. Brutal Legend, more like... oh fuck

Well, copy-pasting isn't that hard But it's interesting news; a possible digital distribution scheme? I'd feel iffy not having the title as a boxed element in my hands, but whatever it takes... I do expect to get the poster, DVD with cinematics and soundtrack like I did with Psychonauts though! DFAStore, don't fail me now! Also, Activision is being goddamn retarded dropping Brütal Legend. For the rest of their existence whenever they express even the slightest murmur about innovation in games, pushing the medium or taking chances, I'll put my finger on their lips, say ,,hush..." gently, and then shiv them in the side.
  15. Is Braben losing it? ...and other musings.

I'm actually comfortable paying 50/60 Euros for a game I really like. Something like GTA4; totally worth it. But everything else, the not-really-classics or chances I take, I won't pay more than 30 Euros for. That can either be second-hand copies or waiting until it appears in the bargain bin.
  16. Where is everybody?

    h4x!
  17. Why so serious?

If I could, I'd hop on a plane to accompany you, because this is just ridiculous. Do people not want to see this movie? Absurd, say I!
  18. Consolidation is good

FUCKING OUCH. That's not gonna do the 'merging isn't evil' argument any good around here. Brütal Legend in limbo? Jeeeeesus H Tapdancin' Christ.
  19. Duke Nukem Trilogy more like ... WTF ?!...

No; a more Japanese approach: emo appearance, black or dark flowing hair, more effeminate face. Dark Sector; Alone in the Dark, The Darkness, that sort of stuff. And frankly, even a steroid beast like Marcus from Gears of War has more sophistication in his make-up than the Duke.
  20. New people: Read this, say hi.

Welcome, Stagg! That above you is one of or special guests. They speak in a language not our own, but we musn't discriminate them for it or treat them poorly.
  21. How are you guys? ...we're fine.

Sure some accents are easier than others. American is a very simple accent because it's very sloppy. You just swallow a quarter of everything you're saying and you're done. Of course, there are wonderful variations there; Brooklyn accents, Southern accents, that typical Jewish accent...
  22. Japanese Radio

As an adult, that's a lot harder (if not all but impossible) to do than when you were a child. Learning a language just by listening to it is by far not effective (otherwise, the millions of weeaboos watching anime would be masters of Japanese by now). If used in conjunction with hard work and education, then it might be a helpful extra. But don't put your hopes in this plan; the effects will be negligible.
  23. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney

I'd be interested in reading about the development process too, though it's a bit trickier to get as they're all done in Japan. There are some interviews with the translators though, which is already interesting. The next Ace Attorney game hasn't been announced yet, so it's safe to say we're gonna see Perfect Prosecutor first. Don't know if it's the same team, actually.
  24. Duke Nukem Trilogy more like ... WTF ?!...

I'm really curious to see if the Duke will have any appeal to people who didn't grow up on his games in the 90s. His character and appearance are absolutely not what has been in vogue for the past 5 years or so in video games.
  25. Why so serious?

Good points there, Thunderpeel. I don't think it'd be a good idea to start making up their own bad guys though. Caricatural though they may be, the Batman villains carry enormous weight with them that elevates their appearance in the movie. You go into the movie knowing Two-face is this incredibly tragic figure in all his incarnations. Without it, it just wouldn't feel like Batman. I do understand your point though, but I think the challenge the writers face is to take those existing characters and make them fit into their own universe. That's part of the intruige in any case; to see how they've interpreted those villains. That's what's interesting about the entire Batman universe: that constant reimagining of the characters.
