Legend of Zelda:Spirit Tracks or ******there's a train?
Roderick replied to Sleepdance's topic in Video Gaming
I'm going to get on the train tomorrow. If you know what I mean. -
I've seen Fantastic Mr. Fox now twice in the cinema. I just asked myself: which movie do I really want to see? Imagine my surprise when the answer was one that I already saw the previous week. It's so charming. But don't worry, I also saw Armored. (Which I CANNOT pronounce any other way than the 'Robert Florence' way, the way he pronounced 'Armored Core'. Arrrrrrmored. A~rrrrrolling~mored.)

Always interested in a good wild west game, especially if it´s getting the GTA love treatment.

Legend of Zelda:Spirit Tracks or ******there's a train?

There's a TRAIN. How awesome is that? It's THIS AWESOME. Well, I think it'll be awesome. I can't wait in any case. I'm not preordering anything though. It's Zelda. How can it not be in stores? Predordering is weird. Unless you want a special edition that's limited, how is preordering helping you? Anyway, TRAINS. -
Yesterday I watched UP, and I am 100% with Syntheticgerbil on this one. What a disappointing movie. It was like Pixar suddenly forget how to make things awesome.

Let's also stand still with Chris Remo's 6th anniversary of passing away from us. -
Idle Thumbs 50: "Farewell, Video Games" or "The Shitty Wizard"

Haha, so true. Everyone wants to be a writer. The other interns at my company all want to have jobs like that. And the assistants. That's actually really helpful, because in LA there's a great sense of wanting to help each other. After all, if the people you know succeed, you have a better chance piggybacking on them. I was expecting the opposite, but there you have it! -
DEAR DEVELOPERS OF THE WORLD - I NEED THIS

Majora's Mask has head-explody time travel stuff. It's the Groundhog Day of video games: you constantly have to relive the same three days and explore every facet of these ever-resetting three days to be at the right moment at the right place to get stuff done. It's amazing, and amazingly difficult. I wish it was just a trifle easier, I couldn't finish it because of it. Ocarina of Time has some time travel going on as well, but it's relatively straightforward stuff: planting seeds and skipping time to see the plant, etc. -

Yes, BRKL, Los Angeles. That's where I am until the end of January. Because I'm gonna be a screenwriter, and in contrast to the other bajillion aspring scribes, I will make it. Because I stick dearly to my delusions. -

Further QWOP amusement: today I got a second hand bike which turned out to be a bit less of a bargain than I had hoped. Mid-ride the brake fell off, after which began a somewhat QWOPpish ride back, as I was trying to manipulate a strange bike without brakes across the dangerous LA roads. I expected to land face-down any minute, after hilarious ragdoll antics. -

Also, I've currently achieved a clean 12 QWOP meters. -

I finally reached the End of Games. It was a sweet ride. Good luck to Nick, and I hope you'll be back soon for more entertaining podcasts or whatever weird form Idle Thumbs will morph into next. Also, Congrats Nick. Baffle me this, Wizaa~ard. -
I saw Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, a feature-length spin-off explaining 2 things: the 'plan' behind the Cylon's attack, and how the Cylons managed to sabotage the Galactica in the first few seasons. And though the atmosphere is great, because in contrast to the horrible Caprica spin-off it manages to recreate the familiar Galactica vibe, the movie is a terrible waste of time and somewhat undermines the coolness of the events from the show.

I think I read that there's huge potential and support for modding and making your own stuff, is that correct? Anyway, this is a nice thing. Funny that they're pushing pixelart into 3D. Come on, have a sense of humour!

X-Men 3 was the Citizen Kane of Citizen Kane.

"The SABOTEUR" or "The Game That Kingz Has Been Asking For Since GTA III"
Roderick replied to MrHoatzin's topic in Video Gaming
Stylistically mind-blowing! It starts off more like Assassin's Creed than GTA. I hope it follows a bit more of a dynamic mission structure than that one. I wouldn't want to see endless streams of 'civilian in need' filler missions -
Hey, I know that guy. He was at my internship office last week, for what I can only assume are mad moviemaking deals.

NSMB on the DS had on of the funnest multiplayer I've ever experienced. It was weird, because it wasn't a hugely publicized aspect of the game at all, and I had real trouble finding people to play with. In fact, even die-hard Mario fans among my friends wouldn't play, didn't like it. What gives? I mean, it was AMAZING FUN to bounce around a looping level jumping on Mario's head, never stopping, shelling is ass!

Just to be sure on this: this trailer is immensely appealing for Final Fantasy lovers, right? Because all I saw was BLA BLA BLA, crappy footage of the Nth random battle-streaked JRPG with boring turnbased battles, BLA BLA BLA. Equal parts vision, artistry, skill my ass. Unparallelled storytelling MY ASS. Clearly, Final Fantasy still hasn't won me over. I'd love for it to succeed, but there's so much to hate!

Or you will have to be awfully tiny. Think about it.
