When he pours, he reigns. That has to be a joke tagline. Surely that's not real. Man, I 'd love some PAX love, but it won't be for a while. Maybe as soon as Pax Paris hits.

I'm sure the FBI is right outside my door at this moment, ready to bust my illegal alien ass So I'll have no other option than to parkour my way into the Dutch consulate, which will then be blown up by James Bond.

Good suggestion for the museum, Doug. Cisco, I like And I'll be sure to dress warmly!

I only have a tourist visa, I smuggled myself in under false pretenses. (Well, technically I'm not earning money, so I'm not evading taxes or stealing jobs or whatever. But I did lie about my purpose here to get in for fear of the people at the airport being anal.)
-
Well, it's pretty much settled that I'll be visiting SanFran next week from Monday to Friday. Anyone up for doing some touristy stuff with me? Also, Jake, could you give me a tour of the Telltale offices?
-
That sucks man. I hear it's super impossible to get a work visa in the US.

I guess you'll agree that there's only one word for that... breathtaking.

I always wonder how much of it is real, how much planned in advance and how much crafted in the editing room afterwards. In the trek through Africa there's the narrative thread of the Volkswagen Beatle following them around constantly, and there's just no way that one always just happens to pop up whenever one of their cars threatens to break down. Nevertheless, narrative planning aside, I love the genuine slice of the country you get. And, again in the Vietnam example, it's authentically touching. It felt like a real adventure, something that movies could only hope to ever instil.

I absolutely loved the Top Gear Vietnam challenge on motorbikes. At one point they start giving each other these ridiculously cumbersome presents that decency dictates they continue carrying around as best as they can. A fragile, giant wooden replica of a ship is involved. Must see.

Yes, exuberantly so! The somewhat obligatory map pack and minor additions to weapons and skins is done. Now give us rrrrraces! =)

I don't mean the physics persé, I mean more that I want to goddamn race against people, have more 'tracks' across the land. Multiplayer or otherwise. The car dynamics are fine in my opinion. I don't care about realistic physics. I just wanna VROOOOOOMMMMMM!! with de Druid Plow.

I can actually easily see stuff like this taking a massive toll on the game design process. Don't forget this stuff dragged for months itself and according to the article/post mortem, the seniors and highest people up had to carry most of that burden. A law suit is something you can't just leave for the quaint hours of the working day, unfortunately. Well, this is definitely sad to hear. It's pretty obvious there was more potential in Brütal Legend than what was apparent. I'm not knocking the game at all, I love it. But the singleplayer definitely could've benefited from some better thought-out content*. * Especially racing. Man, if the game would've used the awesome car dynamics for actual races, multiplayer or otherwise, instead of the clunky ghosted Fletus bits... that could've made a game onto itself. Damn, that's my top wish for this game.

This topic does remind me of the importance and fun of learning something. One thing I resolved last year was to start learning to play piano. That unfortunately never happened (too busy). This year won't be any different, but perhaps I can squeeze it in this time. Oh and for this year another resolution is to go on with practicing KENDO and get at least my first kyu!
-
Yes, that's a feeling I can relate to. Half-Life 2 is the best game ever that I don't want to play again ever Or actually, I do. But I don't.
-
Yes, absolutely. The thing is, the film's plot is just like every other biographical piece: kind of not making for a great movie. It's about the character. And boy, does that ever satisfy! What a performance.

Kongratuliert mit Deinem Gutes Tag!

Quit your fucking jerking, Toblix! I've had enough of you whacking me off.

Ravenholme. That scars the soul, right there

Wait a fucking minute. New year's resolutions are only as bull shot as you allow them to be. I always have excellent resolutions, which admittedly are more like plans for the year, and I always make it a point to meet them. This last year I had a 100% success rate, and my aim was both audacious and high, sir! For this year, I have another slew of great plans, not the least of which is finishing my long-standing webcomic Ye Olde Captain August, for which I expect great merriment from my poorly served throng of revelers! Sir!

Shit. Robot masters and the space asshole all in the same year? I'm moving to Pluto. (EDIT: Ok, Toblix, what the fuck is Arabo Romeral? I tried translating it and 'Arabo' is Italian for Arabic, Romeral is Spanish for 'a place abounding with rosemary'. So either you've gone insane, or I have.)
-
On new year's eve? Sounds mightily suspicious! We are dealing with the king of jesters, after all. But who am I to doubt? Congratulations

I'll be by my lonesome too, watching the dog while everyone back home is already sleeping This is probably the loneliest I've felt so far on my trip to LA. Fortunately, I have Spirit Tracks to keep me company, and chocolate chip cookies. That makes me happy. Plus, Ij ust had sushi for lunch. Shrimp tempura, mmmmmmmmmmm.

Yes, I thought Jackie Brown was quite disappointing. Anyway, I just came back from Sherlock Holmes and Nine. Holmes is good fun, but a bit messy, but NINE is EXCELLENT. Apart from a few songs which are boring, Daniel Day-Lewis gives a fantastic performance. OK, one kind of could have seen that coming from him. But I loved it.
