I avoided this topic like the plague to avoid spoilers. Now that I've finished Mass Effect 2, a simple, hearty YESSSSSSSSSSS!! will suffice. Perfection.* (*Especially if you('re gonna) regard the Mass Effect trilogy as a whole. MAKO was cumbersome, but the one thing that ME1 did well that wasn't in ME2 at all was the sense of lonely, void-surrounded space exploration. Landing on some alien world with MAKO, looking at the irridescent sunscape... those were breathtaking moments of beauty.) (Also, Infiltrator makes everyone else its bitch) (I mean, who's the biotic bitch now? That's what I mean)

It's a few weeks old, but before this is lost... for future generations.

That's amazing! Look at those crazy brick slopes!

AHAHAH now that you mention it, it's hilarious! It's like one of those morphing pictures, going from one stationary state to the other, hahaha

Sir, I hold it against you not at all, and I will gladly see The Big Sleep! =)

I don't give a bleeding fuck about film critics. The glowing praise of the multitudes is more often than not reason for me to approach a movie with skepticism. I especially not care for Ebert, since he didn't even get The Dark Knight when he watched it (when he retold some bits in his review, it became painfully clear he was missing some of the major points). Don't write my opinion off as some sheepish 'I have to like this because it's a classic' Now, if you wish to recommend The Big Sleep, you are more than welcome to. I just wish you did it in a bit more of a friendly way, instead of getting all in our faces like that. It's hurting your recommendation.

I just saw this new movie called 'Casablanca'. I think it's ironically rendered in black and white, which comes off kinda as a Tarantino ripoff, but what are you gonna do. What I mean to say is, I'm shaken to the core. What's the goddamn use of making new movies when Casablanca is already made?

Oh wow, that got out of hand FAST. As soon as they start using real life models it seems as if it's a porn game. And really, there's no reason not to assume that, since they talk about 'discreetly' playing? Are they on crack? I'm not even offended, I'm baffled and impressed. -
So, say that I would want to visit San Francisco for a day or 5-7 during the holidays or some off week in Januari. What are the things that I must see? And, perhaps more importantly, where might I be able to find cheap, modest accomodations not too far removed from the city centre? I'm looking to spend around 400 Dollars tops.

Maybe they'll go for some subtlety. Beyond Good & Morally Dubious

Yeah, I wanted to go into the lighthouse as well.

Woman Attacks Pope: The Mass Effect.

That might not be a bad idea: I already know a few people there now (all of them work in LA at the company I intern at). Connnnnnections! (Alcatraz today was very nice by the way! It's quite beautiful up there, with the gardens and the view, and the surprisingly terrific audio tour of the penitentiary.)

(Bear in mind I've only seen LA so far )

Wait a minute, so now we're pissed off because publishers actually allow developers the time to make their game the best it can be? It's a topsy-turvy world, gentlemen!

The Exploratorium was home to a frightening sight. Yeah. Real life QWOP
-
Also, my first night here made me feel I was in an Idle Thumbs podcast with all the blaring sirens outside, downtown

3 was my favorite episode too. But that's because I'm shipping Guybrush / Morgan hard.

I'm here! Wow, it's so great. Just the minute I rode into the city, the feel, the vibe! So much better than grimy, shitty Los Angeles. Now THIS is a city! This morning I visited the hilarious Exploratorium, I had sushi and spent the afternoon in Japan Town (which made my jaw drop; a huge mall with only Japanese shops and restaurants!) and tonight I'm thinking of visiting Coit Tower for the view (if it's still open then). I've got two more days after this, and I plan to stack them full of awesome stuff. Tomorrow I'm probably seeing a movie with a friend, maybe I'll visit the Fisherman's Wharf... and on Thursday it's Alcatraz, baby. Wow, San Francisco. This is the first time the US has got me thinking that living here might not be so bad after all!

I jusssst finished episode 5 and I have to comment on this. Despite reservations at the beginning (how could they possibly make it a 'real' Monkey Island in 3D episodes?) and a frightful second episode that made me feel this was going in the wrong direction altogether, the game really came through. It was SUPERB. I loved it. Episode 3, as I said, blew me away, then ep4 changed it up again, and the fifth was totally awesome. I love how Telltale has built upon the lore of Monkey Island in a way that's respectful, fun, interesting and additive. It's exactly the right tone. Morgan is a terrific new character. Her interactions with Guybrush and the plot are delicious. Though I agree with much of what has been said in this post by others, I still really like her. Though I was a bit sad to see at the end that some things are left deliberately open to set up the sequel. Ah well, can't have it all. All in all, an excellent game made with obvious love, well worthy of the Monkey Island name =)

That's a pretty disheartening list, really =( Doesn't seem like there's an option you'd be actually happy with, right? OK, I've got a question for anyone: how the hell does Facebook work? I just can't figure out how the order of the posts works. Posts will magically appear and disappear, and their order doesn't seem to be decided by the time they were posted or commented upon, so... am I going fucking crazy? Why isn't this obvious to someone who's been using forums and whatnot for over ten years?

Well, there's a bit of bad luck: it's gonna rain furiously on Tuesday and Wednesday. I'll have to schedule my visit to Alcatraz on Thursday, then! Museums are of course fine to visit on rainy days

So even though I'm repulsed by the visual aesthetic of this title (I hate that woman with her absurd boobs), I should give it a shot?
