The Social Network is terrific. Surprisingly awesome movie that could have been extremely middling and boring in lesser hands. As it is, Fincher knows how to handle the story and give it great zest, and the actor playing Zuckerberg pops from the screen. This is really good stuff. It reminded me spiritually of Citizen Kane. It has a classic feel to it. Definitely a recommended view.

Having said that, ZENIMAX THE IMPLACABLE is a fantastic name. -
I hadn't been expecting Gillen to sound like that. He sounds like a perfectly friendly chap.

The past two years have been nothing but Thumbs association. Any time any wizard came up, really. Seeing the next Harry Potter in cinemas is going to be hilarious for that very reason. I wonder if it will include a shitty wizard, this time around?

I am so anxious right now. Today's the day the Blizzard Global Writing Contest winners will be announced. I sent in a scrap of my own and the past weeks have been quite filled with a growing sense of anticipation. Fingers crossed

I think your preconceptions are getting the better of you. Taking these podcasts at face value I find them incredibly candid and down to earth. It sounds nothing like a commercial. -

Love the third episode, with the familiar robot voice making a guest appearance. Thumbs influence is enormous! Nick is also totally into leading questions -
The best 'drunk' experience in a game (even though I have little point of reference, I've never been drunk in my life) has to be GTA4. The staggered walking, the pulling close to your equally drunk drinking partner, toppling over eachother constantly, getting nowhere. That hilarious frustration of inability to do anything. Random shouting on the ngihtly streets. Beauty.

I expect a GRAND WIZARD TREATMENT when you get to episode 6 (I believe). I mean, haul out the fucking organ! -

Magical, magical news. Consider me a continued listener -
Yesterday I did (yes, in one day): Black Morass, Sunken Temple, Zul'Gurub, Upper Blackrock Spire and half of Molten Core. Up for today: the other half of Molten Core, and probably actually getting some work done! You'd better believe I'll see all content before it's wiped!

100% identification, right there.

I too watched The Fall a few weeks back. I didn't find it as wholly unsatisfying as you, Wrestle, but it was a little long and unwieldy. The best part was the black & white opening, those gorgeous images without any context. Just epic. And the introductions of the lead fictitious characters!

It occurs to me there are a lot of wasted opportunities in how to present this game to the public. I'd have chosen to have only crazy generals with sunglasses barking orders (and game features) as spokespersons. I think, in taking this game seriously, they're doing it a disservice.

Right now I'm running my ass off to try to do all the low-level quests and instances from vanilla WoW one last time before the whole thing is replaced. It's an amazing accomplishment to see how much content is in those continents. JEEEEEEESUS. It just doesn't end!

Thank you for informing me of this, because I still haven't figured out things like RSS. I'm still very "Web 1.0". -
Sounds interesting, especially the setting. Don't know about the gameplay of course! I'll await some reviews.

May sound pedantic, but I'm not really sure that Lego is a game. It's... a creation tool. You don't call paper and pencils a 'game' either, they're creation tools with unique aspects and limitions applied to them. Minecraft is very much a game, of course, since it incorporates all manner of mechanics like crafting and attacking zombies and at its most basic level, a way to navigate the virtual world.

HD BG&E? Sounds good. I'm gonna sound a little fanboyish saying this, but when I first played the game I REALLY liked how the character models were handled. They were very detailed and cool (especially Pey'j), really working the poly count limitations into the style. That was part of the charm: hopefully stuff isn't all smoothed out now.

Oh and Jeffrey Falcon was amazing as Buddy! I want to cosplay as him

I don't know who here recommended it, but I just saw Six String Samurai. A weird, B-like film carried by two cool main characters, a Buddy Holly-esque singer-songwriter-samurai and a kid. First half hour was precious and arguably promising. The film doesn't manage to deliver in the end though, choosing a rather cheesy and disappointing road. More 'Bill & Ted' than 'Seventh Seal', for those who get the reference I'm making. More generally, the movie just never ups the ante enough to carry the interesting setting and characters through to the end. Still, I don't regret watching it. If anything, it was decidedly entertaining.

There's no reason the actual designers wouldn't be interested in an interview on Morrowind though, even if they don't work for Zzzenimax anymore. Might be a bit harder to arrange for Breckon Nick Breckon, but it's not impossible. -
Yeah, I've little hope for the pricing, though I'd be disappointed if the price were over 250. I also seriously doubt the viability of the machine at that price range: Wii's are less expensive. As for the games, they look sweet. And I'm hoping there'll be a 3D remake of Majora's Mask after Ocarina, along with adjusted difficulty (that stupid fish boss!).

I'm just sad everyone latched on to my moment of honest sentiment, instead of the really terrific joke I made in the later post
