The Harry Potter finale is really, really good. I enjoyed it massively. Aside from a few niggles they managed to strike the right tone. It was better than the book, which never managed to bring across the massive impact of the event*. I will definitely see this movie again in cinema, perhaps a few more times. (* Deliberately kept obscure so as not to spoil anything.)

I liked it too! I can se myself playing and enjoying this, though I'm well miffed that there's no Japanese voices in the Western release. They didn't give more of a reason than 'well, we wanted to do it but then we *PFFFRRT* (sound of Atlus employees shitting themselves)'. This stuff will not do in 2011, ladies and gentlemen. Holy shit, you're serious? Bongo-Bongo (?) was all kinds of fucked up. The camera has no idea what to do with all the movement, so throughout the fight I was looking at the back wall instead of the boss, and the locking system really falls flat on its face during that fight.

In a way, it's a little depressing. There is no such thing as 'the one', there are no mystical bonds in time and space. Relationships are decisions that you yourself make and commit to, based on temporal feelings that you could also feel for someone else. [ADDED] Come to think of it, that makes it more precious in some ways too. No gods, nor kings, just man.

Killer7 scares me, I have it and played through the wonderful first level, but then came some horribly difficult bits that scare me! I'm frightened...

I don't. Like I said before in this threat, I am pathetic. I want to play it on my console though, I'd never get around to doing the PC version.

FAR CRY 2 TODAY

Today the Monkey Island remakes were also at a discount so in an event quite rare I bought some stuff on steam, and while I was there I maxed out a 20 Euros card that I had. I bought the following list: - Monkey Island 1 & 2 remakes - Broken Sword pack (holy shit, only 6 Euros for the first three games, insanity) - The Portal 2 digital book by Geoff Keighley - Greed Corps I wanted to get Bookworm Adventures 2, but it didn't fit on my card, I was 20 cents short. Yeah, I'm pathetic.

Wow, that sucks. Doing free work for them... an art test? What the fuck? They either like your art or they don't, or they see potential and will hire you to develop you. But doing some huge endless test is not OK.

I feel I have to clarify something. I do not actually think that the lady in the picture is a prostitute. That's a statement I made for comical effect and to metaphorically say that the way women are portrayed in most movies is abhorrent and demeaning and actually not enticing at all. Let me assure you that the way that woman in Transformers 3 seems to look in the trailer is exactly how it is in the movie. The first shot you see of her is her ass and bare legs, going up a staircase. Later on in the film there's a long shot of urban devastation with her framed in the middle, her mouth half open. It was excruciating to watch, there was nothing remotely pleasant about it. I was squirming in my seat. TF3 is obviously a particularly egregious example of how women are protrayed in media, but fuck me if I'm not going to make a statement about it. Scott Pilgrim's Ramona might not be the perfect counterweight -though she does embody, perhaps ironically considering the movie, a more 'real' person in my mind- but it's the best I could think of on short notice of ladies in movies that I found charming and used in a non-offensive way. I could've also gone for Scarlett Johannson in Lost in Translation. But blaargh, it's just a funny pic, laugh at it and move on.

Transformers 3: I hated, hated, hated everything in this movie. It tries so desperately hard to be exciting and hilarious that it loses all credibility and only serves to show how incompetent everything about it is. Furthermore, I hate Shia Le Beouf's overacting in this and I hate how his new girlfriend looks. To illustrate how a sexy woman really looks I have created a visual to settle it once and for all. Get it right, people!

I have not encountered any weird bugs or glitches, so I don't consider this to be a particularly or even slightly buggy game. Wall- and floormasters are horrible creatures, even though they're fairly simple to avoid I always freak out when they're there. The worst freak-out enemy is in Twilight Princess though, when you were in the twilight realm and there'd be these groping hands that would slowly, inexorably follow you and grab you if you weren't fast enough along an obstacle course. Holy fucking shit I go nuts just thinking about those sequences.
