Toby didn't want to go anymore. I disagree that it looks like Raimi's Spider-Man, Raimi put so much charm and fun into it. From what this trailer shows, it has none of that. But I might be wrong!

That trailer didn't make it seem fun at all. Spider-Man was always kind of whimsical and light-hearted, but now they're trying to Dark Knight it up and it takes the flavor right out.

I didn't think the structure was that fucked, really? The film manages to cut up the really well, segmenting it into all these different sub-adventures without losing momentum. The second time I saw it it was still as dazzling and entertaining as the first time. Also, don't forget that it's the second part, so the movie doesn't take any time setting things up or explaining stuff -that's all handled by the first part. I have my criticisms on the movie, minor ones, which for the most part were already in the book, but the structure is not one of them. It's a rather flawless film in my opinon!

    Nice! =)

Faster than expected! That's really good news, though I'll be holding my breath until we know what the release date will be. Unlikely for it to be this summer, if they still have to the whole translation-trajectory for France, Germany, Spain, Italy, etc.

It's the visible nipples that irk me most, really. Just... not a visible nipples kinda guy, I guess!

Stargate is just people running through shrubs with snake masks on, right? And then Richard Dean Andersen, except he doesn't invent elaborate stuff.

Wait, what? No, the trailer I saw was for part one of Breaking Bad Dawn. The last movie to come out was Eclipse, which saw the amazing cinematic feat of people running around in forests. Not since the Stargate show have so many people had so much business to do running around bushes and groves, and trees and clearings, and shrubs. Look, I don't think I want to see Edward the vampire give a woman a C-section with his teeth. What little I saw of the Twilight movie (a middle part of New Moon) felt as though I was getting a C-section in the cinema.

You're right about the dive. Though I don't find it debilitatingly bad, Diamond does tend to take his time explaining things that are basically just like what he already explained a dozen times earlier in the book. It drives home the message, but it hardly has the eloquence of a Richard Dawkins, who never seemed to underestimate his audience like Diamond (slightly!) does.

When I went to Harry Potter for the second time in cinema yesterday (I'll probably go a third, this movie rocks), there was trailer for the new Twilight movie that could not be more boring. A bare-chested adolescent got an invitation to the wedding between that girl and Edward the vampire. Then she got pregnant, but something was wrong with the baby. Now how much fucking fun does that sound?

Girl Link > Girl furry Though I wouldn't be particularly picky, depending on the specimen before me. Still, Girl Link. Could all the ladies on this forum dress up as Link? Is that a thing I can ask, or am I crossing this boundary?

Synthetic, not sure if you've been reading the conversation, but we just discussed that the 360 version is most probably not region-free, so importing is not an option. Unless I import an R1 Xbox with it in the same go, of course.
  13. Catherine

I've checked them, and it's not 100% clear yet, but it looks bleak.

WOW I am digging those girl Links. Hello fetish. Especially the blue and red ones are so great. Their costumes are fantastic, up to their shirts underneath. Just perfection.
  15. Catherine

Yes, but 360 people are less fortunate.

I mean, who wants to release their game on a continent with 500m people on it? I sure as shit wouldn't.
  17. Catherine

I just realized this game isn't even coming out in the EU, isn't announced yet, at all! What the fuck? And of course there's no region free version of the game, who the fuck needs all those filthy Euros? Fuck 'em! Fuck 'em all.

Whenever I animate I go for a solid 6 fps. That suits my needs perfectly.

The JET programme seems all but dried up, at least for the Netherlands. I don't hold out much hope for a programma, though it would be ideal.

I have no idea! Do I have to engage with the yakuza? I hear they pretty much run that business.
  22. Much the same position here: DK1 was fantastic, yet the second one couldn't hold my interest. Perhaps it was the sprite-based engine that I found charming? The notable difference in the games is that the Horned Demon was 'merely' the top tier summonable creature in the first one, that would ravage everything in its path, whereas it got a bigger role (and a voice) in the second. Maybe Chris has something better to say. Probably! I'm not sure if I could play Dungeon Keeper again nowadays. I think I'd get really frustrated with its idiosyncrasies, like minions that won't listen or stupidly walk into traps.

From the other topic: But I will take your prayer, kind sir, and funnel it into getting a job in the coming months, which I do sorely need. On a related note, say that I wanted to live in Japan for a while and sustain myself there through some, 'job', let's vulgarly name it, does any of you have any leads on how to do that? I speak half a word of Japanese. Ideally there'd be some programme or other, but they've all dried up in this climate. I'm looking at my options.

Sorry to confuse you, but I was actually transcribing the thoughts of the Fox anchor interviewing Murdoch. Go to the previous page for context. [EDIT] Waittaminute, this isn't the Life topic at all! I'm moving this there.
