Interesting thought, but you should probably just stick close to home for a change.

I had to learn that I was under no obligation to start what I finished out of some ill-conceived sense of loyalty. It's OK to put down something you don't like midway.

What you need is a violent uprising, followed by a complete overhaul of the system. Might take a generation or three to work out the kinks, but then you have a fine chance at, at the very least, something different to occur anywhere in the spectrum of vaguely (Russia) to completely (Japan).

It takes up a battery? A bunch of extra buttons? This is beyond crazy. On a more positive note, the footage from the free Four Swords Zelda game looks great and I can't wait to download it for free and at no cost.

Aww shucks. I kind of expected that though. Whenever I envisioned this book, based on the blurb, it sounded completely unlike Elder Scrolls. Which is weird because those games are filled with crazy stories you can read in books that are very fun oftentimes. There's also a lot of bad poetry in it! It's good! I'm reading currently, among other things, The Invention of Japan by Dutch professor Ian Burema. It's blowing my mind. It's about the century where Japan goes from feudal society to modern democracy. Most of what I knew of this was heavily tainted by NHK glorious heroes of the past with true valour and grit-series and manga. To read a more unbiased and (relatively) objective view of this period is terrific and terrifying. Japan hasn't felt this alien to me in years.

Between the creepy hugs and False Dmytro, this topic got weird fast.

Now, I rationally know this is probably some kind of medical equipment to practice either horse birth or horse prostate exams, but it's still highly dubious why it's hooked up to the Wii. Imagine Horse Examz.

I make a rare topic about a cool downloadable game and TOBLIX needs to destroy it again! He ruins EVERYTHING

I wonder if poetry is something you really have to learn to understand before you can appreciate it, not unlike classical music or arthouse films or opera? How much of it is (a lack of) upbringing or understanding?

I assume you're still living under the same roof with your parents? It's time to distance yourself from them, if you feel boxed in. To hell with those traditions, you need to stand up for yourself. You don't need to rush to find some awful job, just negotiate with your parents. Draw the line and tell them that they can't force you to use your own money to do anything. Tell them you are willing to play ball, but they can't enforce anything. And if they threaten to throw you out, that might be a blessing in disguise. If you have enough money saved to by an entire convenience store, then you have enough money to live for a few years on your own without working. But before it comes to that--negotiate, draw a line, communicate. You are an adult.

I sympathize with you, Tanu. Your age is of interest to us because most of us would agree that if you're early thirties, your parents should not have the licence to bully you into any of this. You are a goddamn adult and you can spend your money the way you like it. But this might be Spanish culture, I guess? Perhaps it is time to fly out from under your parents' wings. Don't worry too much about the anxiety attacks. They seem to come from the pressure your parents are putting on you and they make you feel helpless and like a child. If you get more independent, you might find the strength you need and not have the attacks. Also, it's complete bullshit to expect someone to find a job within a week. What the fuck?

Not even Remo-tely. Have a birthday!

I've never been able to read poetry. My mind just can't process it. I start expecting it to make sense, because I see words with meanings in sentences on paper, and then I lose grip on the rhythm and cadre. So, I find it tiresome.

Holy shit I didn't believe this would happen. Nintendo is panicking! This is a desperation move if ever I saw one. Guys, I hate to say it, but it seems the 3DS, at least the first version of it, is pretty much stillborn. The best we can do now is hope that they get the machine they obviously wanted when they release the Lite version next year. This is a disgrace. What a ridiculous, awful peripheral.

That's scary! Is this a regular thing in Texas, or some exceptional happenstance? A sudden onset of draught. As a sign along a Californian road read when I was there: 'Congress created dustbowl!'. Perhaps they're behind this too?

I'm holding out playing Metroid for that moment too

(Warning: spider story incoming) Today I discovered one of those small but long-legged spiders in my room and as is my policy, I wanted to scoop it up in a tissue, squash it and be done with it. But not this spider. Instead of being squashed it perched itself on the tissue and allowed me to carry it out of the room. O-kay, I said, you may live, but I'm throwing you in the garbage can. Minutes later I had to chuck something and when I opened the lid again out jumped the spider. It glided down to the ground and frantically started running away from me over the kitchen floor. I honestly couldn't bring myself to step on it. This spider wanted to live badly. I thought to myself: you deserve life, spider. Such unrelenting tenacity and survival skills... you win.

I wish I could trade in one of my fears for fear of spiders I would do that in a heart beat.

I hear it's pretty rare nowadays to have your tonsils clipped. It's not recommended as much as it used to I think. Was there a special reason for you having yours done, Brkl?

What is wrong with designers of slides?

The coke spider is hilarious.
