  1. Post your face!

Looks like a nice porch! Even in 3D.
  2. Post your face!

It's Tomodachi, the mysterious cult leader from 20th Century Boys (a great manga that was made into a very special trilogy of films). Breathing was fine, but my vision was down to 5-10%, which made it hard to move around gracefully.
  3. Post your face!

Not yet! All I'm missing, perhaps, is a red plastic badge to pin to my chest.
  4. Post your face!

Oh, how delightfully annoying. This was my Halloween costume. Here in Germany there isn't a huge Halloween culture, but there are a handful of kids knocking on the door, so I thought I'd give 'em a scare.
  5. (IGN.com)

Oh man, every time I think we're being a little harsh on IGN-- I truly believe the box quote for Halo 4 should be "Impressive, throbbing."
  6. (IGN.com)

just a sec while I take a syringe up the eye
  7. Disney buys Lucasfilm

It took me until now to realize this deal has been in the works for months and months and months, and they've had all this time to come up with wacky viral videos.
  8. Did not play the second one, but Force Unleashed was a pretty interesting game. Some parts were seriously broken, but the premise was there, it had a cool vibe that actually felt Star Warsian and heck, it even tied into the main plot. Oh shoot I just revealed that part of me still actually likes the damn thing >_<;;
  9. Disney buys Lucasfilm

    wars.
  10. Post your face!

Print it, frame it, wait until the wife finally notices and is weirded out as if she were suddenly trapped in a David Lynch film.
  11. Disney buys Lucasfilm

Had not considered that possibility. Did blow my mind in weird ways. Monkey Island in Kingdom Hearts. Indiana Jones is a sure bet.
  12. I'd like to talk about a game discussed in the Idle Thumbs podcast, but the only thing I caught was "vaark rye too" Also, does anyone know about this game called Grim Fandango? It's by a company called Lucasarts and from 1998.
  13. Disney buys Lucasfilm

I just realised we are one step closer to David Mitchell's vision of movies just being called 'disneys'.
  14. I expect fully nothing of this news. I have long since given up on Star Wars, as any sane person should have done, and though I'd love some quality new adventure games, Lucasarts is not the only supplier of that. There are currently tons of companies that have those things on offer, though maybe not the deep pocket to make them particularly grand.
  15. I already cried when I became level 17.
  16. How far will you go for a scary game?

The best part about it are the details. Exploring Innsmouth and just being able to peek into a cellar and see a corpse. That sort of thing. Fucking awesome.
  17. Hooray, I've waited such a long before I could finally be bothered about micro-transactions inside a single player game! Hey, you know, perhaps there's a futuristic option where I can just pay an amount up front, say 50 euros, and get rid of the peddling.
  18. Ironasty. What a douche. How about just making a good game and being a friendly person? That'll get you much further in life.
  19. How far will you go for a scary game?

Haha, almost no one I know has finished that game, including myself! I got about halfway and then it just faded from my life. I always intended to return, so maybe one dark winter morning I will find myself in the position to visit Innsmouth again.
  20. Unnecessary Comical Picture Thread

This is, in effect, a warning sign.
  21. How far will you go for a scary game?

Thanks, Dan. I guess I was on the right track. Maybe it's something I should start pushing for in my work, getting a vibe of cosmic horror in there. Dark Corners of the Earth is fantastic.
  22. Unnecessary Comical Picture Thread

Also the implication that the boat is leaving Dildo Island, or maybe you were already just there.
  23. How far will you go for a scary game?

Could you give some examples in cinema or gaming of good cosmic horror? That sounds intruiging. I assume it has Lovecraftian overtones, rather than a butchering monster doing the rounds. This might be one of the types of horror I am strangely comfortable with.
  24. Ugh, people like Dyack are incompetent bosses. Companies should be lead by team players, not middling egoists who run the place like their own show.
