I don't think the xbox version of it will play considerably better than the pc version. Also.. psychonauts recommendations go without saying

I agree that the controls and design of that mission really sucked, but it only took me 3 or 4 attempts to complete it. I had much more trouble trying to get a silver medal on the last driving school test..

I read a thread on another forum with a summary of the review, they said the only negative with the game involved a spoiler.. Did the actual review get into any more detail about it than just that?

If it's just the guards in Vivec, then it's because you wore indoril armor, and you can't get that removed. If it's everywhere, it's because you have a death warrant on your head. I forgot if you can get that removed at the thieves guild (balmora south wall corner club, talk to the guy behind the counter once you're a member), but it's worth a shot.

Shenmue 1/2, rez, crazy taxi, sonic adventure and chu chu rocket are my favorite dc games.

Games no one knows (but are awesome or at least pretty good)

Remind me to bump this thread in six months and say "psychonauts" -
I subscribe to the official playstation magazine and the official xbox magazine for the previews and the demo disks. Everything else I can get on the internet for free, and of better quality..

I played the OXM demo, and it is definately the best looking xbox game I have ever seen, and it was also pretty fun, despite my hatred for 3rd person stealth games..

The site has undergone some changes, with the game's intro, a screensaver and 4 new wallpapers on the Gray Matter page(free membership required). 5 comics on the Arrested Development page, 4 3d art things on the Head Games page, and a character deck of cards on the Misfits, Monsters, Madmen page. Also, there are going to be demos for all versions, soon. From the psychonauts.com newsletter:

I wasn't specifically referring to the aiming being precise, even though it is about as good as it gets on consoles. I was talking about pressing a button and having it do what you expect, when you expect it. It may sound simple but a LOT of games get it wrong.

Absurd parts bolded. What could you possibly have against halo's controls? The myriad of control layouts? The extreme precision and fluidity? Do those things bother you? You must have achieved some level of enlightenment beyond everyone else on earth, because the controls are one of the most universally lauded (and copied) parts of the game. What do you have against the multiplayer? The complete customizability of almost every detail? The 16 player support? The varied map selection?

I made a thread about this on another forum and someone actually went..

The latest xbox nation said so. I'm not sure if they count Card, but I'm 100% sure the number was in the teens, and 90% sure they said 15, but there seems to be a bunch of numbers floating around..

I like the look and concept of this game, but the development team only has 15 people. It will probably end up being "painfully" something. Either short, buggy, linear, or simple..

I also have only played the first two. My first impression of Jak 1 was "so what?," but it slowly grew on me because of the good level design, writing and animation. I thought the story was a bit thin, and the collecting was a bit much. The second was the complete opposite, my first impression was "WOW THIS ROCKS," because the quality of the graphics, animation and writing were all immediately apparent. As the game went on, the hub city went from a mild inconvenience to a near game ruining experience. The vehicles controlled TERRIBLY, were too fragile and there was no direct route to anywhere. I actually liked the story of 2 much more than 1, because.. it had one. Jak 1 was like "ok, here's a new area!, collect some shit then unlock the next area! ..where you'll COLLECT SHIT!" Jak 2 had logical mission progression, a lot of funny dialogue and jak's angst was layed on a bit thick, but it was justified and never embarrassing, to me at least. The only annoyances in the game, aside from the stupid hub city, and everything associated with it, was the voice of the mechanic chick, and probably something else that I've forgotten since I beat it. None of this has anything to do with BG&E, though, which I still think is very different from jak 2, aside from the hub city and collecting (from jak 1). Mainly because the platforming in BG&E is literally foolproof. I don't think there was a single situation where I could have come up short on a jump if I tried, and there were always invsibile walls near cliff edges. Another dissimilarity is that Jak doesn't have much stealth at all, which is pretty much what the entire second half of BG&E is dedicated to. Also, jak2 didn't really have levels, it had areas where you would carry out a few missions at different points during the game. BG&E had areas that, once you had completed the objective, you pretty much never saw again.

Green lipstick is slutty...... The jak series is very good, what are you talking about? As a series, yes, they have quite a number of things in common, but that's mainly because jak2 was a complete departure from the first, but as individual games, they don't really share much.

xbox and pc versions are launching simultaneously, right?

I didn't really hate it, but it's probably the main reason why I kept everything I ever picked up.. P.S. Spoilers warning for my link

http://ps2.ign.com/articles/552/552096p1.html Lots of new screens on the media page, too. Edit: there's also a video, but I haven't downloaded it yet so I don't know if it's new.

http://www.xboxworld.nl/news/5767 I don't speak foreign so I can't read the text, but I've never seen those before. Therefore, they're new.

That can't be finalized. WHERE ARE THE EXPLOSIONS?

Tiny particles of Psychonauts info [now with more particles!]

GS: What sales figures, year one, would make you happy? TS: I want the kind of sales figures in the first year that encourage publishers to be more open to doing unique games with story, personality, and humor. Oh, and I want to sell enough so that I have tons and tons of money so that I can buy a big gold jacket and wear it all the time because gold is waterproof and if anyone spills anything on it I could just sponge it off. And I'd like a little holder for the sponge, so I can have it with me at all times. Same as everybody else. -
That's why I wanted to get in early, too, but when I finally got an invite I learned the minimum username length is 6 characters. I was hoping to get pj@gmail.com. That would have been such an easy email address to give out and for people to remember. But no, I had to get stuck with an email address that's even longer than my previous one.
