When that happens, it is quite surprising. It almost makes me mad sometimes too. I'm so used to being able to run away and not be followed that when I am chased I find myself thinking "Dammit, I'm running for a reason! Stop chasing me!" A very strange game mechanic to become totally and blindly accustomed to: If I just run away I'll be safe back there because I killed all the bad guys, so I'll just rearm and have at thee!

___ A curious trend. I like it.

If there is no God, then who pushes up the next Kleenex out of the box?

My brother does that with his and even then it still crashes.

Those little Halo grunts were so cute. And also my favourite character from whichever Halo book that was. I feel bad killing them after a while.

Hey, I know a French guy in my speech class (A Frenchman in a North Dakota college? What the...) so don't you make me have him translate that for me. I know you're making fun of me, and it's not nice.

Fuck, now I have to find every shitty quest weapon I sold. I must have Redwave back! I loved that sword!

The only mod I've got going is a DIY mod that gets rid of the Loading Area message. If the game is chugging on something, I'll just assume on my own that it's loading. Of course, I didn't even notice it until I read about how to make a mod to get rid of it. Then every time the message popped up, I'd be staring at it until it went away. And I apologize if I have, in turn, done the same to you. But that saddle bags mod sounds good. It's a bitch to try and lug around full sets of glass, elvish, and daedra armour that the bandits in my game are packing now.

It's far too early in the morning to be slapping me with that one. There's only so much the human mind can take, you know... In fact, I choose to believe I'm still dreaming.

Has anyone else found the side quest involving a strange painting and finding its artist? Oh man, best quest ever.

Not on mine. Maybe the collector's edition. Also, the draw distance for the grass on max is still too close. Kind of annoying. But I'll muck with the ini file and see what I'll see.

Good God. I spent entirely far too long playing yesterday. I must have binged about 6 solid hours, then 2 more later in the day. Thank God I only have one class on Tuesdays. The sad part is, I can't really comment on the story, beyond the intro stuff which I'm sure everybody already knows about, because I haven't even touched it yet. I did maybe 4 quests all together. Otherwise just exploring. I also can't really comment on any character development, or player-npc relations because I haven't had much yet. But if you've played the previous titles in the series, you know the flavour already. My initial gut feeling says that if you take everything Morrowind did right, multiply by ten, and fix a lot that was wrong about it, you get Oblivion. Obviously, I'm hooked. I don't know why but this series has always been incredibly playable for me.

Well if it's not wrapped in an enigma, hidden in a riddle, you have no excuse!

How can you flame someone with monkey in their name and in their avatar?

"Rumble Box is a fast paced 3D action beat-em-up with a unique premise: all of the characters are made of simple objects which stay around in the level even after the character is defeated. The objects pile up, changing the gameplay landscape and altering your combat tactics. The game takes place inside a giant box, and the ultimate goal of the game is to pile up enough defeated enemies to get out of the box." http://phackett.com/rumblebox/ This is a wickedly fun little game. Gets a little hard to tell what's going on with a lot of debris, but definitely entertaining.

I cut my fingernails too short! God dammit!

Helicopters are of the devil. When God created the universe, helicopters were not part of His plan. They're just not natural.

I only like $60 games from EA. I buy every single Madden and Sims expansion they release. Now excuse me while I cut off and burn my fingers for typing that.

Ok, so maybe not actual flames. But we did yell a lot. And bitch and moan incessantly.

Back in the day, every damned thread in this place was a flame. Good days. Apparently we were very cynical back then and what with the recent return of the forums, we're high with happiness. Give it a month and we'll get grumpy again, I'm sure.

Because you could out someone's eye if you hit 'em with the ball hard enough. But if you hit their eye with the ball really hard, then it would just lodge itself into the socket and it would be a customizable fake eye. You could draw all kinds of cool stuff on it with a Sharpie or crayon or, perhaps, watercolour.

I concur. But I'm of the opinion that John Williams gets shafted every friggin' year. Sure he's won, what, three? But the man is just that damn good. He only gets nominated... twice every year? And I very much agree with being dissapointed that Crash won best picture. Also, George Clooney's speech for best supporting actor: I gotta say, the best speech I've heard on the Oscars in my memory.
