john is programmer and not a designer and as long as he keeps on programming instead of designing everything is okay. so stop insulting mr carmack!

yesterday mr. postman brought a book to me. brains in bahrain. they told me that i won it in a writing contest. i thought then i remembered back at this one poem i wrote some weeks ago. and then i thought then i found out that my poem will be published in a book. and then i though yeah...welll...anyway...what the f***$"%&%"$%&"% should i do with a book about chess?!?!?
-
look what i did: the idea is great but i failed, because of my non-existent knowledge of this book called the bible. so it's a piece of crap. sorry.
-
although i have no idea what to do with this book i also don't want to give it away because of its...hmm...value as a price but if you like i could scan some pages and send them to you.

i sacrificed 1 minute of my spare time and told google to translate the poem from german into english. the result is...ahmm....pretty...pretty... The economic meaning of the spare time 1951 was a beautiful year - evenly of terrible illness genesen, decided I all to retrieve, what the past me stolen: Peace funds for the correction of the soul welfare, Moscow as point of my travel arrow, one lady or two for a beautiful Liebelei, economic science after-study - all that, around the longing to couriers. 1975 was them still my sons, all the past goals, all the dreamed plans, nor, but the details ungeboren unforgotten, line-faithfully, as well as presumptuously, I to support forgot peace nevertheless or education into my wood head to scratch, but if such details care already, if Moscow yields the Soviet Union, or the two-SAMNESS desired is defeated of the simplicity? 1985 crossed troubles of vouchers my ways, my dreams ran on odd way, as art cyclists on ice, until at these the play the troubles defeated one day, which I am able to remember still well, combatless, while my existence in security wiegte itself: Certain ones, knowledge, remote pain, two-SAMNESS were entweiht by my craze: The chess OSCAR would not be fiction would already be located it in my shelves. 1993 seemed my goals again set up: Reorganized account instead of reorganized world, the Urals instead of Moscow, yogurt instead of pair of ladies sportsman of the yearly instead of Dr. Suchar, Wissen was at best as stamp well-known, marked to me unknown a country. Now I have the present to deny in the commission for foreign affairs; kraenklich my play, kraenklich my pride, only invariably remained my head from wood. An UNICEF Ambassador I will never be, in addition my desire for peace is too small. As pilot, platoon leader or a captain I saw too little of this world. Both the politician, and the Charmeur in the luck which is missing knowledge of human nature falls back on me. Me missing study would only veil these things with hoped for Diskretion. Thus one the child with the name calls: I am not anything as a wasted talent! brrrr...spooky

Funny, horrifying or good news? V.Smile, the first educational gaming console!
Ryam BaCo replied to Tanukitsune's topic in Video Gaming
hmmmm...but...but...probably such gaming consoles may improve the reputation of video games in the entire world. now parents can say instead of wohoooo!!! my kid is learning how to kill people and launch massacres with the help of video games!!! something like wohoooo!!! my kid is learning how to count numbers and distinguish colors with the help of winnie the pooh!!! all the violence is the fault of tv and movies!!! hail to video games!!! hmmm...ohhhhhkay i'm an optimistic person. too optimistic. it is scary. yes. it is. like teletubbies in doom 3 engine. -
just for gaining an insight into the "importance" of this event: how many people were there? for how many days did it take place?
-
more respect. less egoism. less dumb people. hmmm...two too much. choose one! ...but it would be better to take all of them...

okay...here's a short essay - enough for the singles? no? hmmm...okay.

games make money than movies do, but i think because of the higher "popularity" in the movie industry (how many people know steven spielberg? vs. how many people know peter molyneux - as a short comparison ) many people think the opposite.

yesterday i saw a very long movie (intro + in game scenes + a few dialoges) about the upcoming pc game the chronicles of riddick and it destroyed all my prejudices (such as a game out of a movie...brrrr... or a game for the fans of the movie) and i just thought woah! the voice acting, graphics and character animations are awesome and the whole game really seems to be an excellent interactive action movie. i wouldn't dare asking about the good points of this game, but - if anybody here played the xbox-version - what are the bad points? i...i...i...just found none. and that's scary. oh...and here's the link to the official side

always interesting to read what the rest of the world is doing in maths... maths was cool. really cool. and our test results were cool. really cool. in a scale from 1 (=best) to 5 (=uhoh...) --> 1 (~5 % of the people in our class), 2 (~2 %), 3 (~20 %), 4 (~50 %), 5 (the ugly rest) but, hey, we also did examples with triangles. but they were much cooler. this thread intented me to post this funny 10-pages-example, where i stopped writing after the third page...have a look! btw...but the cooles subject was phyiscs! 40-50 % failures in every test...i could write ages about physics and my insane 'learn-tactics'... school is over now. thank god!

a friend of mine is working on something related to this. they're creating a framework called g-system for creating an envolving universe and plan to use it in a mmorpg. i don't know exactly how far it can be used for "story-creation", but my friend (using the pseudonym phoenix) bothered me so long about their project till i finally had a look on it and i'm pretty excited about it now (and how i can use it for my ideas). if you want to have a look at the project and its progress just visit their homepage. for further information about mmorpg+g-system you can have a look at a discussion with one of the developers i had some time ago: click me! (this guy called parmenides is my former c#-teacher )

a membership to this bush-club would come into conflict with my support and adoration for kawauki. we're much cooler, because we do not only discriminate gay people, we discriminate everybody. there are so much cool (countless) advantages. i'll list a few. because i'm that nice: apegodsect: prays to kawauki, big apegod yufster's bush-thingy: prays to george (a holy ape or george? hmmm...easy one...) apegodsect: sacrifices virgins + bananas yufster's bush-thingy: sacrifices the free will (now what is cooler? free will our virgins and bananas? huh?) apegodsect: you work hard for the enlightenment on a special planet, far, far away yufster's bush-thingy: no sense in your life at all (and that's not good for you. no.) apegodsect: there's a nwn-module available yufster's bush-thingy: no nwn-module apegodsect: won the internetr@@b-award of a very popular tv-show yufster's bush-thingy: won the elections in the us (i'm pretty sure that you won't receive a gemmy award for such an useless victory) apegodsect: cool yufster's bush-thingy: crap apegodsect: we do have our own bible yufster's bush-thingy: their bible is called constitution (not nearly as popular as our bible!) apegodsect: kawauki will punish you with coconuts if you don't join us!!! yufster's bush-thingy: if you don't join: war! war! terrorism! al kaida!... (but no coconuts!!!) the short conclusion: advantages of the apegodsect: infinite! advantages of yufster's bush-thingy: 0 interested? of course you are. click here: http://www.affengottsekte.at.tf/ oh. wait. it's in german. but google will "translate" it for you. just for you.

the cancellor of austria is wolfgang schüssel (who is "running" this country) and not haider. haider's party fpö lost a lot of power and voters (afaik the fpö had its "strongest moments" around 1997 when they were the third-biggest party in austria) in the last few years. a lot of our politicians are dumb, but they are not right wing extremists at all. and for bush: kerry rarely said why his voters should vote for him, he always told them why they shouldn't vote for bush...
