  1. The Incredibles sequel

That cow's been dead for years. The milk's all moldy and gross and nobody wants it.
  2. The Incredibles sequel

Why would anyone ever think that was a good idea?
  3. A riddle-y type thing.

I've already heard this one and, it would seem, I was accused of being a potential serial killer when I answered. I can assure you this is not the case-- I was just feeling cranky that day.
  4. Halo2 WTF?!

Halo 2. What the fuck. I remember when I beat Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and I thought, "Heh, that was a pretty lame ending." In MechAssault I thought, "Ha ha, that was pretty stupid." In Halo 2, when the end cutscene ended and the credits started rolling, I actually stood up and said "What the fuck was that!?" In the first Halo, you had a climatic end level, lots of excitement, and a solid ending with good closure (but still leaving it open for a sequel, of course.) There had better fucking be a Halo 3, and it'd better be soon. Halo 2 was a fun game with a very immersive story, but the ending really just shoots it all in the face.
  5. Grim Fandango!

I laugh because you think I was being serious.
  6. Grim Fandango!

    Grim Fanwhatnow?
  7. Dear (most of) middle America....

    Or about this one?
  8. Halo2 WTF?!

I beg to differ. The amount of work Bungie has put into Halo's story is amazing . There's tons of symbolsim in the game (I'd give you a link to some examples, but the site doesn't seem to be working now). It really isn't just "aliens attack". You seem to be forgetting about the forerunner, the flood, the deep religious hatred the covenant have for mankind, and the mysteries of the Halos. The Spartan program, Sgt. Johnson's immunity to the flood...the list goes on. Many of the answers are not answered in the first game, and several of the questions are hidden (pay careful attention in particular to what 343 Guilty Spark has to say and you might find a few) which is why Halo 2 is going to be huge, at least for me. The #1 reason I'm buying Halo 2 is the continuation of the story. The sweet gameplay is just an added bonus. EDIT: This isn't the site I wanted to link to, but it does show just how much the Halo universe has been fleshed out: The Library
  9. Halo2 WTF?!

Why? Halo PC wasn't nearly as awesome as it was on the Xbox. The only thing that was more appealing was the online multiplayer and the Custom Edition, but nobody played it and Gearbox gave up on it.(And, considering what a flop Halo PC was, I wouldn't hold my breath for a Halo 2 port.) Halo simply isn't a PC FPS, it was tailored for the Xbox and it plays best on it. I loved Halo. Every bit of it. Tell me it isn't fun plowing into a crowd of grunts in the warthog. Tell me it isn't fun to tango with a Hunter and plant a bullet in it's back. Tell me you didn't jump when a camoflauged elite with a fucking energy sword snuck up behind you. And if you haven't played the whole game on legendary co-op, you haven't played the game. There are so many subtle things about Halo's gameplay that when you add them up, you get a game that's still a blast to play three years later. Add in the great story and you get a pretty solid game. So why do so many people dislike it so passionately?
  10. Halo2 WTF?!

(ahem) What are you going on about?
  11. You're more than welcome to...join us...

    Don't listen to her! She's a flip-flopper!
  12. Extraordinary League of Gentlemen

Personally, I'm shocked to find out that someone actually bothered to see that movie.
  13. Fable: The Official Hero Progress Report Thread

    Uber-spoiler:
  14. Flatout

    That's a lot of tires.
  15. show us your room!

Yeesh. What a dump. Look at that. Crumpled up papers under the desk, Reese's cups wrappers all over the place... what a slob. Not to mention that I've had that desk forever, so it's covered in all sorts of doodles. It's no wonder I like to keep my (computer) desktop as minimal as possible.
  16. Monkeys.

Speaking of monkeys, I had no idea Chimpanzees ate monkeys. Like, hunted them down and ripped them apart and chewed on their innards. I thought chimps ate...leaves. And nuts. But not monkeys. Also, I voted "no". Monkeys are not so great. Always going around, getting eaten by chimps. Stupid monkeys.
  17. Captain August launches

Neato. I shall add it to my reading list post haste!
  18. Psychonauts.com redesigned

This hardly seemed worth a new thread, so I stuck it in here: There's a shitload of goods in the new Xbox Nation about Doublefine and Psychonauts. Go check it out! (Incidentally, it also has some neat information on Halo 2 singleplayer, and Red vs Blue gets a spot in there. Good stuff.)
  19. Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge flies!

The original was super cool. It was a little more realistic than High Road to Revenge too. But I absolutely love the new one. If I had to choose between the two, I'd probably go with the latter. It's definately a "pick up and play" sort of game. One thing that does really annoy me, however, is that when you beat the game, you can't go back and replay any mission you want. You have to go through the whole thing again.
  20. Wanda and the Colussus

    How convenient that I don't own a PS2!
  21. Tell Us About Yourself

Ha ha ha! That site is fucking ace. I've still got this sexy beast kicking around here somewhere, but it has long since stopped working. Also: Hello!
  22. DOOM III Demo Available Now!!!

There are lots of things about this game that really impress me. (I'm a big fan of using the computers, watching TV, and playing Turkey Punch 3.) The attention to detail is amazing. But once shit started blowing up....sure, it made me a little nervous, and at times made me jump, but I really didn't enjoy it. There's just something about it that sit well with me. It didn't feel right. If I want to shoot slow, lumbering zombie things, I'd rather go play The Library in Halo. And those those guys who shot little fiery ball things at you? That wasn't cool. Whenever one shows up, you're guaranteed to take at least one hit from them. Also, am I the only one who was disappointed in the sound? (fire the shotgun or machine gun, and you'll know what I mean.) Still, I think I'll probably pick it up when the price goes down, just for kicks. There are enough things I like about it to justify my buying it.
  23. a short animation

It worked fine for me. And might I say that it's quite good, too!
