God dammit! There isn't a thing there I don't want to buy. How am I supposed to afford all this?
-
Yeah, except Far Cry didn't look like a pile of shit.

Same here. It's wierd; Half Life 2 runs beautifully on my machine, but a Psychonauts demo is damn near unplayable (unless, like you said, I turn a bunch of stuff off). Not that I was going to buy the PC version anyway, but still. Wierd.

I've always thought Sinfest had a very Calvin and Hobbes-y feel to it too. Anyway, I read a lot of webcomics, but here are some of my favorites (aside from my favorites already mentioned above) Dinosaur Comics A Lesson Is Learned, But The Damage is Irreversable A Softer World Scary Go Round (I can't believe this one wasn't mentioned already) Sam and Fuzzy Magical Adventures in Space (Wigu) (Also recommend OverCompensating) MacHall EDIT: Forgot a couple Beaver and Steve Cigarro and Cerveja

God damn, the OXM demo is awesome. Dogan has very quickly become my favorite character (next to Raz, of course). Oh, also the Russian kid. But I don't know his name.

This looks pretty cool. It's an interesting concept, I hope they can pull it off.

Wow! Complete with obligatory lava and ice levels! Nice!
-
Jeez, I didn't even know that thing existed.

Spot on review, as always. Did you hear they're making a sequel now too?

"On the Spot," Psychonauts on "On the Spot," and other gamer TV

Yes, because if there's one thing today's first person shooters need, its more running through corridors and shooting things. -
Bah! I demand larger resolutions! Larger I say!

When visiting Tuesday, always wear galoshes and arm yourself with a bucket of lightbulb.

EDIT: Trep beat me to it.

Funny. I thought the internet had more asses of the dumb variety.

Just thought I'd mention that TeamXbox has some new coverage--nothing too earth-shattering, but they have a few nice videos if you're into that sort of thing.
-
Pfft. The first one was better.

I like OXM a lot. Xbox Nation had a nice bold design, but their content was crap--and a lot of times it was crap they had already used in previous issues. That's probably why it doesn't exist anymore.

Ugh.

I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree there, my friend. As far as the Campaign is concerned, Halo surpasses Halo 2 hands down. The level design in Halo, I feel, allowed for more freedom and strategy. Halo 2's levels, despite having really big, pretty skyboxes, always seemed really cramped--the areas where you can actually walk are very restricted. Also, I was intensely pissed off by the addition of the "invisible walls" in some levels. Halo was great because you could basically get away with anything you wanted to. So imagine my disappointment when I hijacked a Banshee on the Metropolis bridge, only to be flung into a small box where I'm allowed to fly. Fuck that. Over all, Halo 2 is still a pretty sweet game, but it isn't nearly as good as the first one.

Really, Sam wasn't even that ugly in the first two games. Granted, he didn't look as good as some of the Half Life 2 character models, but at least he wasn't so ugly his hideous face distracted you. But with Chaos Theory? I mean, Jesus, what the hell did they do to his face? He looks like a semi-retarded chimpanzee. And is it just me, or is he wearing eyeliner?

Loved the first one. Thought the second one was great. Having played the Xbox demo, I can safely say this one trumps them both. It is simply too awesome for its own good.

Or, rather, Star Wars Game Publisher. I don't know who wouldn't.
