I noticed that too, but I don't know why. You move him around in very much the same way you would, say, Manny Calavera, but it seems like Manny spent a lot less time running into walls.

I'm...a little surprised. Usually, even for shitty movies, they try to make it look good in the trailer. For this one, it's like they didn't even try. It's almost as if it was their intention to come out and say "This movie will suck."

If you play it a certain way, you bump into the waitress before running out. She describes you to the cop. Play it another way, and you can slip out without anyone causing any fuss. I wonder if, later in the game, the former will lead more quickly to you being a suspect. The demo doesn't really show how much you can affect the outcomes--just the paths that take you there. Is this how the whole game will be? Same conclusions, different approaches? One time through, I tried to get an ending other than the bit with the taxi. I slipped out without anyone noticing me (I didn't even bother with the body). After the cop found the body, I wanted to go back in the diner and order some soup, all unsuspicious-like --as if I just got there. But it wouldn't let me. Either way, it looks to be a great game.

One thing I absolutely cannot stand are those...I don't know, I guess they're like intro gameplay montages. They're not actually the intro sequence to the game, but they play when you first start up the game. Anyone who owns the Xbox version of Chaos Theory should know what I'm talking about. Disc goes in. Press Start. Then you have to sit through 3 minutes of unskippable video of the game you're about to play. It's like they're saying "Look how much fun you'll be having in just a bit! But first you have to watch this." It's so irritating.

Really? I hadn't noticed. I can't tell if they mean they're going to start making good Star Wars games, or start releasing more non-Star Wars games. The article goes on to say they'll be making more Indiana Jones games, but I was hoping for more along the lines of, you know, Sam and Max. Anyway, the article's here.

I don't hate Metal Gear (I've never played it), and I certainly don't hate violent games. What I do hate, however, are shit games that have zero inspiration and are simply put out there to get a few more bucks. Don't confuse our love for quality and innovation for a hatred of "mainstream" or violent games.

Yeah, I saw this one in PC Gamer. It may not be the prettiest game on the block, but it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun to play.

God damn. I can not get over how incredible that movie was. Easily the best comic book movie of all time.

Which makes me sad, because the first few days the store was open, I ordered $72 worth of stuff. Curse my impatience!
