  1. True story

Today must be "Chris communicates entirely through smilies" day. And I thought everyone knew about "Talk like a pirate" day. It's like Christmas, only with less Jesus and more plundering.
  2. Copyrights

I found Creative Commons a while ago, but I can't remember how. I do remember them having some animation about The White Stripes, that also explained how creative commons works, but I can't seem to find it now.

  4. Tim turns 37

Do you have any idea how long I've been looking for a copy of that?
  5. Chris Sawyer's Locomotion preview

Agh! Why don't any of the lines from Locomotion match up? It's looks like a freaking collage! I'll cross my fingers and hope that's just a very, very early build.
  6. H2g2

I am wary of this movie. It had damn well better be good. EDIT: Anyone notice, in the last part, in the upper left hand corner, 42 is written in the stars?
  7. Say Nice Things Thread

I like Yufster because she is nice to people's dogs, and isn't secretly a man. She can also sell a Video game that hasn't been released yet like nobody's business. Also: her avatar has a picture of a tiny human in it, and they don't generally hang around mean people.
  8. Star Wars...

Star Wars 3: Anakin is Still a Whiny Little Bitch
  9. Tell Us About Yourself

    .....You just blew my mind.
  10. Alternative Comics needs YOU

Alternative Comics, publisher of Hickee and other quality titles, needs your help. Go buy some books. Reading is good for your brain.
  11. Andy Rules

True enough. I don't know why they would chose February. You'd think they'd want to have it in time for the holidays, or, better yet, at least October. (Because we all know that once November 9th rolls around, there will be approximately one Xbox game that people will be buying for the next few months.) Oh, and:
  12. Andy Rules

I don't think that. Oh, wait, yeah I do. I was lying. HA! Now you know how it feels!
  13. Oscar

Give him a swift kick in the head. That'll teach him.

    Oh damn, that is awesome.
  15. Alternative Comics needs YOU

I think my favorite would be Chicken Pool by Derek Sakai. The owl makes me laugh. Also, I just bought Grickle, and it has begun its great journey to my home. I will wait until I read that before deciding to get Further Grickle.
  16. If YOU have a FilePlanet account...

More like what isn't with the new name!
  17. Intro Sequences in Games

Yes, Grim Fandango's opening is great. I also always liked the one for Sam and Max and Armed and Dangerous. The opening for Full Spectrum Warrior is pretty funny too (while also setting the very serious mood for the game.) Ooh! Knights of the Old Republic was pretty cool. In fact, almost every cutscene in the game was cool. On the other hand, openings for Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy are incredibly lame. (As a side note: Is it just me, or is Jedi Academy basically just like Jedi Outcast, only it sucks?)

    So...wait....it is Gary Oldman?

    Steve Buscemi?
  20. Damn Centipedes

First the funny water and now this. ...I gotta tell you, Jayel. Your situation's looking kinda.....eew.

    Dana Carvey!?
  22. Episodic format a good idea?

Isn't this something Telltale is going to do? I think "episodes" would be kind of cool, really, but it certainly wouldn't work for all genres. For instance, racing games, MMORPGs, or RTS games probably shouldn't, and really don't need to, be released in that format (but there are exceptions, as always). On the other hand, I can totally see it working for adventure games or RPGs. Having the episodes would also mean that the game would have an interesting enough plot to keep the player buying each episode. It'd be nice to see more games with as good a story as Grim, BGE, and, yes, even Halo. How long would each episode be? A few hours' gameplay? I can already name several "full length" games that can be completed in, like, half a day. Which is probably why Adventure games and RPGs would be the best candidates for this format. Those take significantly longer to play than, say, your average FPS. But now I'm just rambling.

New avatar, shamelessly stolen from the Double Fine website!
  24. Bomberman

Tru dat. I always hated the hockey map and that...one map where the...things came back...you know what I'm talking about.
  25. Raz?

Certainly! Mars Imports They have the first one, too. Just do a search for "Hickee" in the search box.
