If it makes you feel any better, if she is dead, then at least that's one less carbon footprint eh?

If only google took font size into account, when searching for Pokemon Friend Codes.

I don't know what that means, Coldkill, but it sounds rude.

Nice tights. I was going to be Anonymous, but then how would I claim all the credit?

This second video was slightly more impressive. I particularly like the analogue melee control. However "choose between using it as a deadly weapon or to heal yourself"... anyone who has played any kinf of action game knows to go for the latter; it's not as much of a choice as it appears And yeah if it really was "real world rules" then the bullet would probably just go straight through the wooden table, leaving a hole.

Please, please get a groupshot, with the foamy beer 'taches. I would join you but I would probably have to shave now to make it fair and I look weird when I'm clean-shaven.

Yeah we're still in the Early Adopter Stage here. Once the trends have been clearly set, that's when the mass market will follow suit.
-
Not the rest of your life. The holes close up naturally and the adjacent teeth move in so there's not even a gap. It does feel weird for a week or two though.

Looks like Marek has been up to shaving his beard and growing his hair. Dude you look 10 years younger... stop it! Alex always looks about 16 though. Ben has to wear the patch for pirate reasons.

Hahah I kind of had the same thing. I had to have several teeth removed in preparation for having braces, on account of having an extra set of canines. Scary eh? You should have seen my brother, he used to have three rows of teeth!

Sory to hear that Toblix. However, remember that playing video games has been proven to have a pankilling effect for the duration of play. I'm going to prescribe you some now. If anyone asks, it's medicinal.

It's all about the irony.

there's a test case going through the courts now on what banks are allowed to charge for various fees. You know that bob was able to get about £1000 back in reclaimed fees by threatened legal action right? Have a search for consumer interests groups.
-
All banks are shit. Although I saw a hilarious comment on the web today saying the person would consider moving their account to Northern Rock once it goes nationalised, since a bank without fucking greedy evil shareholders and profit-hungry managers will be a breath of fresh air.

I think I'll give the demo a try. As for an Official Thumbs track, I would like to nominate A Crimson Rose and a Gin and Tonic, from the Katamari Damacy soundtrack.

As I far as I can tell, Blu-ray has a higher capacity but is slower. In other news: holy crap Sony backed a winner for once! I reckon it's because their format had the more memorable name. HD-DVD is too much of a mouthful.

You should be able to watch it on BBC iPlayer for the rest of the week.

I watched the pilot tonight for a new BBC comedy drama called Being Human. I guess it's kind of like This Life meets Buffy. Three flatmates and their lives, one being a vampire, one a werewolf and one a ghost who haunts their flat. It was a just a one off, so hard to tell where it would go, but it was a hell of a lot better than any other british supernatural/sci-fi series of recent years (most of which have been utterly awful X-files wannabes). Here's hoping it gets a whole series.

TBH all I saw was the ability to make any object sticky. I wouldn't call that "infinite possibilities" or even many possibilities. I hope to see more combinations of objects that don't include sticky tape.

True, it will take a long time. But just look at the whole Copernicus/Gallileo thing for a past example. On a more angry note, the thing that gets me is that god supposedly created the Earth, and indeed the whole universe. OK fine. He also supposedly created this book that, if taken as literal, flat out contradicts what the Earth itself tells us. Given the choice of believing a book or an entire universe, both created by the same god, I'm going to believe the evidence in the fucking planet. You know, evidence like geology and stuff.

Religion is always revisionist, in the long term. Despite what individual adherants may think, their religion has undergone many edits over the centuries. I'm sure evolution and the scientific method will eventually be included in the world view of every faith.

That would be an awesome concept for a game. Kind of like Pitch Black meets Luigi's Mansion.
-
Spooky! Although I'm not sure that I believe that any such game exists.

To the cunt that's been ringing my doorbell for the past ten minutes

Yeah but I won't be any more seeing as you no longer work from home. You'll have to invite me over if you ever want to see me again. Oohh that came out all dramatic and stuff. -
Jackson to direct Hobbit movie. Also sequal. Wait, what?

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=40300 OK, good news that Peter Jackson and New Line have sorted out the disputes and will be working together on The Hobbit. But where is this "sequal" coming from? Are they going to split the book into two parts? If so, fair enough. But it would probably be a bad idea to just invent one. Hmm, maybe they should do Children of Hurin next... I can just see the depression, mass slaughter and incest going down well with audiences.
