Yeah, I watched Extinction expecting dross, and wasn't too badly offended by it. I thought it was a lot better than the second movie. Shame about Diary of the Dead, I was quite intrigued by it.

I don't know if you have seen Razor, but that kind of shows the creation of the Hybrids. Some people believe they are infact humans altered by cylon technology. Personally I believe that the captured humans were "reverse engineered", giving the cylons their current biotechnology and understanding of humans. They are a hybrid because they are half-way between machine-cylons and skinjobs. But yes, like the oracle they seem to be able to tap into the higher plan. I think you're probably right in that the cylon's actions are pretty much predetermined, but they don't realise it themselves. The hybrids could well be their "guides" in that.

Ooh, I forgot to mention how awesomely menacing the centurions have suddenly become now that they are fully sentient. The Caprican hard-boiled detective story that Adama read was a nice touch of flavour too.

Yeah the scout can be incredibly fun at times. It was clearly a class designed for old school quake players, where your twitch skills mean the difference between total victory or death. I certainly never imagined him to be as much of an arsehole as he is in the video. Although the bit where he interupts the heavie's lunch made me laugh.

Finally! I've been waiting ages for the next one. Shame that it's a bit short.
