From the Gamasutra interview, it seems to me that they just pussied out. The stereotypical story of an interesting game being neutered by the fears of investors.

Wasn't Painkiller chosen as the Three Four Kings recruitment test game? Or something like that. Maybe it was a tournement. Anyway, yes it sounds good in a Serious Sam way. Also, ZP: no more adverts! Yay!

Viral marketing isn't really much of a conspiracy. We've seen plenty of them. Hell, some of us have even worked in the same building as them, and laughed at them when their poorly devised plans backfired. So Guitar Hero Four is already being demo'd to the press huh?

Smells like viral marketing! How would you know which body part was kicked yet unless you were inside the company? Not that you do, obviously.

Strange, I thought it was a brilliant episode; I was on the edge of my seat the hole time. OK, so I did roll my eyes when it reached the clichéd routine of "oh no, the spooky kid is going to cause a chain reaction of misfortune that culminates in an Act of Destiny". Oh, and I was upset that Leader Six got shot. I was starting to like her. Bad Athena, a big black mark for you. Everything else was great though. Tigh, Anders and wossname looking worried as their unveiling looms (Tyrol remaining dispondent). Roselyn getting back into her stride (maybe Starbuck too). Lee finding his feet in politics perhaps. Adama's obvious suspicion of Tigh. The long-awaited collaboration between the Colonial Fleet and Cylon Rebels. Even Gaiter's singing as a background. Yes, everything is starting to come together in a big squidgy bag of awesome.

As well it should. Nevermind, we can't all be perfect.

I already have both series on DVD. But now I want those new commentaries. Wait, did you just try to say that you didn't like Spaced? BANNED!

Oh man, this outpouring of high profile love for Spaced (American box set) has me in tears. And check out that commentary! I may have to try and get this somehow.

I would describe it as a platformer. Haven't seen much puzzle or adventure yet. There's a portal over to the right of your starting position that swaps the alive/dead graphics, so you can see the skeleton all the time. Nice! Got stuck in the tunnels again. I can see why there's no score for it yet. Can't see a bloody thing in there.

It's nice, but not as much frenetic fun as Raptor Safari. It's altogether a more chilled out game. I gave up after I got lost and stuck in the tunnel run. I will try again later.

I finally finished Okami. About 120 hours. I saw people complaining about the length and the false endings, but I was OK with that because I didn't want it to end. Oh, and I disagree that it felt artificially inflated. In fact I'd say it was the only game of this scale that felt like it wasn't inflated at all. When you have several hundred years of Japanese mythology to draw upon, content doesn't have to be stretched really. I teared up a bit in one of the final scenes.

Yes, that's basically what it said, but I don't think the others heard it. Incidentally that information was already revealed to us in Razor. Watch it if you haven't already, as it contains several clues to season 4. That prophecy has put an interesting counter-spin on extrapolated plots though. If being led to earth will destroy everyone, then what will they do instead? Or will the death and destruction be more figurative, with a new civilization rising from the ashes? I'm really looking forward to the race for D'ana 3 now, and all the roadblocks the Hidden Four will throw up to stop her from revealing them. In the more immediate future, I expect further awesomeness when the exiled cylons join the Colonial Fleet this week.

Performance and casting are different things. Yes, I too am hyped about this film. There were a lot of comic book movie trailers on at the Ironman movie, as well as Indiana Jones etc. But Dark Knight was the only on I felt excited about. Hmm, Harvey Dent's foreshadowing in that trailer was pretty blatent though...
