Why isn't there a groundhog day game? It would be awesome. Only way to win is to figure out the puzzles by dying repeatedly etc

It occurs to me that Lovecraft fandom is one of those strange underground affairs (how appropriate) that is completely invisible to movie studios (despite influencing a huge chunk of modern horror and fantasy).

Talking of Abu ad Halzred, anyone else seen this? It's the goddamn Mountains of Madness! The fools! They'll awake the shoggoth!

(I think he was joking).

Haha, it was amusing, I'll give you that. Are you familiar with

It's also possible that the public beta doesn't test the game so much as the network infrastructure. Too many multiplayer titles have shipped in the past and then had their servers overloaded to the point of breaking on the first day of release. Public beta catches those kinds of problems where an in-house beta cannot.

Actually I've notied that most games I play have an option for EAX or EAX2 in the audio tab. However 50% of the time it seems to cause problems such as sound cutting out (probably because my sound card is an ancient SBLive! Value!)

Also knows as Apollo from the original series! I failed to get my Evil League of Evil application uploaded on time. I filmed it, but then couldn't get it from the digital camcorder onto my PC. Damn you technology!

It sounded fine to me, other than the mug. It think it was the mug anyway. An occasional *donk* throughout the show as something was bumped on the table. Keep stuff off the table!

Tune into the next episode for the answer to this question!

So I got my PC up and running again a little while ago. I've been playing mostly CS:S, and also a bit of the mod Insurgency (brutally hard, but good stuff). Finally got round to playing TF2 again anyway. And... the same problem as before. I really want to like it, but I almost always end up with a rage-quit. The game just makes me feel so completely helpless. Nothing I do can turn back the tide of the enemy advance - or on the few occasions I'm on the winning team, I don't feel like I really contributed to it even if I have a good score. Maybe I was spoiled by being part of an excellent clan when the game first came out. We had great teamwork, tactics and understanding. Now it feels empty. It's like in WoW - the difference between playing with fellow guildies and a Pick-Up-Group. Help me! I want to love TF2 again

Maybe it's something to do with our ActiveX plugins? I'll try reinstalling it.
-
Happens to me too. Latest version 3.0.3 Something to do with the ActiveX controls.
-
That was my first reaction too, but on reflection I think the SD card and the access to the Nintendo Store (which will hopefully have many GBA games) makes up for it.

It's alright for right-wing fanatics, but the liberal left wing is practically defined by seeing others point of few. Hence why republicans deride them for being wish-washy and so forth. Interesting that no Republican supporters have chipped in. Is Thumbs entirely lefty, or are they just hiding from potential scorn?
-
Hahah that was indeed hilariously bad. I'm not even offended, it was so ridiculous.

I like him already. Yeah I find it slightly unsettling to discover that Will Wright is a republican. He's such an open-minded, pro-science kind of guy. Maybe he's just hoping for some tax breaks?

Shouldn't this thread be in the networking forum?!!!!:fart:

Dammit, one wiggled through the mesh. Stomp it!

Yeah, can't say I'm thrilled about him being Max Payne

Yes, I'm enjoying Heroes Season 3 immensely. I was one of the few people that liked season 2, but even so. The head writer (Kring?) spoke towards the end of season 2 that they had made a mistake in repeating the pattern of mystery and suspense from s1, when what people actually wanted at this stage was action and drama. S3 delivers on those two things wonderfully. Some really nice little triumphant moments too. I actually cheered out loud when Noah twirled Desert Eagle. Have you seen episode 3 yet? Noah's new partner is great...

Having played a little bit of LBP with spaff, I can comment on the seemingly awkward platforming. One reason it might look that way is beacuse of the 4-plane semi-3D space. Sometimes you have to go into or out of the screen before you can land on the platform you want to. The physics angine is great too, which gives your sackperson a real sense of 'being there'. It actually feels very fun to play.

Ahahahah that was the best thread recap ever Toblix. Well done

The Relic games seem more focussed on tactics rather than strategy i.e. not what you build but what you do with it. The C&C games (and starcraft) seem to be more about choosing the right units. This may well be set to change though.
