Alas Rodi, our circle of WoW-ing freinds all play on the same PvP server, which is why we switched to it in the first place. I tried to explain this to you the other day. I used to be totally pacifist, stealthing past people so they never even knew I was there. Unfortunately I find that these days people attack me a lot more than they used to, which has really wound me up so I want retribution and my pacifism no longer seems to have any point. Also the alliance on our server have a really annoying habit of having a top-level character babysit another that is levelling up. Seems like this happens 50% of the time. And a top-level guy can see through my stealth and will kill me without thinking about it. I mean why? He can one-shot me if I do start anything on his pussy little mate. His mere presence should be protection enough. But no he has to kill me and then lol at my corpse. You are right about the rogue hatred though. I notice that gnome mages especially cannot resist taking a pop at me if they catch me in PvE. Obviously this in turn has given me a deep seated hatred of gnome mages. All gnomes in fact seem to played by cocky little cunts, but maybe that's just how their avatar comes across. Everyone hates gnomes it seems. Anyway yes. WoW. i enjoyed the kvaldir quests based on The Fog.

Still enjoying the game very much. I got to Dalaran, which is pretty cool. Much better than Shattrath was. Lots of ways to waste your gold pieces as well. However, I am recently reminded that I fucking hate PvP servers. Ahhg. Seriously. The most annoying thing is how much I let it get to me. Sometimes I really really really want to pull a Jay and Silent Bob and hunt down the little pricks in the flesh and beat their stupid faces in. That is the literal truth. This is not a healthy thing. Someone needs to start some kind of anger management/victims of ganking therapy group.

Still listening to the 'cast, but just wanted to say it shows great dedication to do a complete do-over when you weren't happy with the first attempt. Well done! also: Vigi -
I feel old now

You're the second, maybe third girl that I have heard that from. The film must lie in some weird confluence of femininity and gamer-ism.

Hi Paul! Thanks for taking the time to come along and post. I was wondering if you are familiar with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and whether it overlaps at all with NLP? To me the two sound very similar, but CBT is only taught in "pathological" cases.

I think the Kinetic Typography makes the distinction that it is the actual font work that is the subject and the focus. Motion Graphics is much broader. Mmm, I am reminded now of some great Word Art that I came across during my art studies. I may post some either here or in the Idle Eyes art thread.

I love you. also, I have finally sorted out the crappy error that crappy quicktime was having, meaning that if you need me over the next few days, I will be working my way through Art of the Title. I am so glad this website exists - I love this stuff!

I was going to post that as well ginger. A lsightly different direction for Theroux, although his completely non-threatening approach still gets good results. Instead, I will post more about Outnumbered, which I mentioned briefly, earlier. Series 2 is a few episodes in on BBC right now - I missed most of series 1 and plan to rectify that as soon as possible. A must for everyone that likes deadpan sitcoms, it is practically unique n the way it handles the children - the writer and director have spoken about how the young children are given a briefing for each scene but do not have a script, and so a lot of it is ad-libbed and it comes across as incredibly natural. Here's a trailer for series 1, although due to the slow-burning nature of the comedy a short clip does not really do it justice. There are still some great lines though.

I'll be impressed if they ever finish it at all

Wow, so many of my facourite title and credits sequences in that Prologue list. Just the other day I was trying to find the Iron Man credits because I enjoyed them so much. Unfortunately every single video on the internet shows the overhyped epilogue after the credits

Question is, what to do about it? Are you going to report the eBay seller? Makes you wonder if the publishers make any kind of distinction between knowing piracy - where a user warezeseses a game for themself; and fraudulent piracy, wherein cartels actually make a business out of duping people.

Well, BBC's remake of Survivors is a big 'ole disappointment. I'm getting pretty fed up with BBC drama. It's like they have decided that Eastenders is the pinacle of drama and that everything should resemble it in style and utter mundanity. The only decent stuff on BBc these days is some of the documentaries and the ocasional comedy (watch Outnumbered!) In Survivors nothing much happens. Ok yeah we have all the usual post-apocalyptic stuff, as they go down the checklist: empty streets from 28 Days Later - check; overprotective folks with guns - check; the dangerous badass guy who is an asset because of his will to survive - check; Conspiracy responsible for it all -check; growing your own veg - check. The list goes on, none of it at all original. That would be fine if the style and script had something to say, or at least made a bit of an impact. But as I said, they are so very very BBC. It always stays in utterly safe territory. If someone could get shot - they won't. If we might see a truly disturbing tablaux of corspes - we won't (they are always very tastefully arranged). If someone is in danger of having their world view changed by the destruction of society - they will remember which archetype they are and pull themselves together. And don't even get me started on the techno-babble. Apparently everyone died of lupus.

Yeah I enjoyed Howling Fjord, despite the slightly slow start. Borean Tundra, the other starting area (accessible by zeppelin from Orgrimmar) is much uglier. And yes fun to see the borderline-evil Forsaken back in the picture. Dragonblight, the next area after those two, is turning out to be even better!

I dunno, stealth is very useful for sniping, due to the damage bonus. If you get hold of a sniper rifle then even early on you can take out half a reaper camp before they pinpoint your position. Plus there is the Mr Sandman perk, which I never got but sounds like fun.

In most DnD style fantasy RPGs wizards start weak, but at high levels they often have the power to obliterate everything. They are often favoured by more tactical players. This may well be the case in Mass Effect, but if so then it is especially painful getting there. Yeah the sniper type Infiltrator is a good choice by all accounts.

The dialogue menu is fine, except that it follows a standard layout so the same kind of response is always in the same place. Combat can be fun(ish), or it can suck. It depends. Spaff wanted to play as a "spellcaster" class and so went biotic and had a shit time with it. unfortunately psychic/biotic/engineering/ magic spells in the game are purely for support. Go soldier or soldier hybrid. If you haven't then restart the game. Seriously.

We all need to encourage Steve to change his blog's name from Fullbright to 'Gaynor's Hot Scoops'. Please Steve, Pleeeeeaaaase?

Were you in stealth mode? If not then I think everyone in the area can 'hear' what you are doing I'vre just realised that I never got around to gaining entry to the armoury. I think I assumed that at some point the sherrif would hand me the key along with a "well done" and a "go knock yourself out". Was there phat lewtz?

Don't forget to mention the Improved Spectral Blade!

Ha, yeah, well only in Megaton. It is possible that if you can escape they will eventually forget your trespassing. The rest of the game world has its own factions. edit: oh you found that out already The game has a valuable lesson to teach you: Don't get caught. There's goodies to be had, just make sure you're skilled enough to get them
