Isn't that trailer merely a trailer that appears for a fictional movie inside the real movie? At least that's what I heard. If you get me ¬¬

So they do it sometimes?

yes but it's not Spaff doing the lamenting, or unlemanting. Otherwise would have said "please remain unlamenting." What he wrote suggests that at some point Spaff will be lamented. I think he means "don't make me lament you", ie don't cause me any grief... Or maybe he was stoned.

Yeah, the Labour government frequently praises the UK games industry and is trying to help them taxwise. Not very well though. Borris is almost unrecognisable in print, whithout his trademark stutter and fluster and all. What a blithering idiot. -
Oh all right then.

I never played the first one, but I'm still enjoying the second one. Apparently it fixes most of the problems with the first.

Well, yeah, but he didn't specify. So I'll go with the standard definition of immortaility, vis a vis, no aging or disease, but vulnerable to death by trauma. Or even invulnerable immortaility, which would also be great, because you could be a super hero and then get bored of it and take over the world instead. One day I will write an essay on the various forms of immortality and give them all proper terms, so we can skip these kind of semantics. Besides, the rest of you decided to die this instant so you are no longer here to argue with me, so fuck off.

Wow, am I the only one who would choose to live for ever? I reckon the world is a interesting and varied enough place that it could keep me entertained indefinately. And if not, I would put my time and energy into building a sleeper ship so I could wake up at another world. You unimaginative lot Books or HD is more difficult. I have a deeply ingrained taboo about burning books, but logically I guess all my books could be replaced whereas more of my data is unique. Hmm. Besides my sketch books.

ooh, Aladdin reminds me of the Lion King megadrive game. Actually loads of fun, especially when you grow up and get to mawl leapards to death.

I'll do it. How much exactly?

Heh, true, it's common knowledge that most media technology is driven by porn; printing, cinema, VHS, home video cameras, digital cameras and cam-camcorders, mobile phone cameras, THE INTERNET... Chances are the first ever cave paintings were of a couple of stick figures getting it on. Possibly with a buffalo.

I think the Lost Vikings was two player, if you like puzzle co-op. I will remember more soon. Megadrive was excellent for two player games. I third World of Illusion, a wonderful game. Most of the Megagames collections have a couple of multiplayer games on. Hours of fun can be had yelling at each other while playing Columns for instance.

That is a most terrifying suggestion.

Oh, yeah. Ropes too. I think I've lost my save for the last level. I'll have to start again

And I am back at college studying art, but essentially unemployed. Anyone want to give me a highly paid 3-day-a-week job? Anyone?

I can't remember I'm afraid. The reason the walkthroughs skip it may be because it is one of the puzzles that was added for the Euro version.

Brain Training... more like: this actually isn't Brain Training

What?! The video is gone? Godsdamnit! You should still be able to find the short story online. Look for "they are are made out of meat". Now I need a new sig Back on topic... The combat in Ico is a bit weak, but I didn't find it all that difficult. Once you get the hang of it you can blast through most fights without being slowed down too much and get back to the puzzles. I still haven't beaten the last boss though...

I suspect it's a localisation problem then. Game translators are, on the whole, awful art anything even slightly technical. The industry really needs to make more of a thing about game-dedicated translators. Not just hier general translators who do games "on the side".
