Will it be as good as Terminator vs Robocop though? I think the producers have been pretty smart in jumping ship. They get a nice fat cheque and are not responsible for any shite that gets dragged out of the franchise. Also fans can console themselves that they're not "real" Terminator movies. On the other hand, looks like we finally get to see a film set during the Machine War.

"Ooh, a news post about Spore. It's meant to be out this year so it should b:- FFS!"

Well this sucks ass. If they're not careful then someone will nick some of their ideas in the meantime and it will be a whole lot less special when it arrives. -
Yeah, and the subtitle makes it even worse (":Earth Assault").

Hmm, maybe it can take the lesson on how to make robotic armies look interesting, rather than having all the personality of a single lego brick.

Yay for neave.tv!! I forgot what it was called and have been trying to find it again.

The smartest border collies are up there with 3-or-4 year olds. Yeah but so do royal families, which are also spoiled, pampered and in-bred... oh wait, this is a prety good analogy

Some one mentioned this to me the other day. He said the style looks completely different - very action movie. Also it's not directed by Danny Boyle, but some guy I've never heard of who has apparently only made spanish language movies up 'til now. imdb is my friend I am apprehensive.

Sort of giant cat? You mean a wolf right? ie a dog. I'll let you have the goat thing though.

Cats and dogs both rock. But dogs are demonstrably more intelligent (I did a few animal behaviour courses at uni, one of which included lectures by Britain's foremost pet psychologist). They are also more loyal and havid a rigid social system, which is why they seem "dumb" to some people. Some dogs are dumb, generally the smaller breeds because they have a smaller brain than the species is meant to. But generally if you put a cat and a dog in a maze full of gadgets (or any intelligence test you can name), the dog will work them out first - they have better problem-solving skills than cats. Hell, one border collie was found to have a better understanding of human language than most trained chimps. But I reiterate; both are awsome. Today's lecture was brought to you by the letter "aaaaaaaahhh".

Nice. Enjoyed Blue Day a lot. That blue thing reminds me of some of the girls I've dated. Just substitute "insect" for "man". Perhaps not even that.

To throw some insight onto Yufster's present screaming.. She just got told that she did not hold the job title she thought she did (team leader, essentially). Then she got reprimanded for not carrying out the duties required of a team leader. This kind of thing happens a lot in the shittier suburbs of the game undustry, especially if you're in QA. And as Wrestlevania implied, probably all industry.

Just watched TED lecture and it seems relevant to this. -

Yup, pretty much anyone that has tried map-building has at some point attempted either their school/college or their own street. The reasons being that these are the places most familiar to them and, as you said, having good floor plans. Schools especially tend to have fairly regular designs so are a nice simple subject to learn from. This kid could one day be a good designer, but he'll probably be put off for life now or prevented from persuing it further. -

Yeah they could, like, make a blackboard-rubber weapon for their mod. Or something equally dissident. -

Oh for fucks sake. It's things like that this that convince me even further that Ethics ought to be taught in all schools (along with Psychology and possibly other apsect of Philosophy). Seriously, the general public (and especially public officials like school boards) are clearly ill-equiped to deal with the kind of moral cunundrums that crop up in the modern world, with all its virtual cyberspaces and whatnot. -
Chances are that the Bud was going cheap. With the price of alchahol over here, any 2-4-1 sale automatically makes any old piss drinkable. Luckily, we have Budwar over here as well - the REAL Czech Budweiser that will hopefully one day have revenge on its evil immitator.

Well obviously you are right Yufster, in as far that it was a Sony PR deal, and hence must follow the current rule that all Sony PR thingies must fuck up, often in a hilarious manner. The hilarious part of this escapes me so far (apart from the Mail's GoW2 review). Maybe it will turn out that the whole GoW dev team contracted a deadly form of salmonella from the goat, or something. That would be pretty hilarious, AND sad.

Goats are considered food animals in most of the world, especially Greece, so it's not like killing a pet. Honestly Yufster, if you can't deal with this, how are you going to cope when the time comes to eat your kitten?

That sounds like it should have a complicated name for psychiatrists to get excited about. Retrovoyophilia perhaps?
