Too painful to watch!

Obviously it has not been programmed by real men Yeah the two-weapon limit seems like a discouragement to use all the fun and stupid weapons that you expect to find in a Duke game.

Amazing. Surely not genuine? ...has it been auto-tuned yet?

Yeah i'm 5Shilling. I'm ready to go on the prologues. I'm just umming and ahing about which virtual game board to use. www.pbpmap.com or http://www.myth-weavers.com. we need: dice roller - integrated with posts, ideally. a map that can be both persistent (visible 24/7 without me needing to be online) and real-time. ability to attach DM info to tokens would be nice what else?

My dad claims that his first car was a Caterham.

It's worse on consoles maybe. In cs:s it can flare up occasionally, more so on random servers. On a server with regular players it's often down to a new player showing up and grating with people, or it's a minor spat between two people who will get over it (much like the occasional arguments here on thumbs). In many games, like Left 4 Dead, it's been replaced by people just acting like jerks - quitting half way through, not co-operating, etc. 8gQozw40Mso

I've seen the stage play, which I guess based on the former one. In fact, Alex just kind of It's in this version that Alex actually talks about the 'clockwork orange'. See it if you ever get the chance, it's a very good script. And for a happy ending it contains just as much political bite as, if not more than, the alternative one.

There still is on the server I play on. It's nice to have a nice server. The game is so different compared to paying on random servers. I'm only really familiar with use of GG etc in Counterstrike (clearly things are more relaxed there). I didn't mention that before because I thought Starcraft fans would probably lynch me.

Or it can be a conciliatory "I beat you but you played very well".

Someone obviously got confused. You are 'dragonborn' no matter what race you choose.

I had an awesome birthday weekend, mostly spent in the sunshine in the park with lots of friends. People brought cake and sushi and frisbees and tequila! Then we all went to a pub and a new underground nightclub. Took me a couple of days to recover. I must be getting old. Being 30 is weird in how not-weird it is.

What I didn't like about stealth in Oblivion was that - unless you had a crazy superhuman stealth score - everyone in the area spotted you as soon as your first attack hit. If you did have super stealth then no-one could see you ever. there was almost no middle ground. Still this looks pretty great, although the combat is difficult to judge just by watching.

So recently I've been seeing links to Kickstarter around. what do we think about this? (For those that don't know Kickstarter is a website where you can appeal for funding for your pet project. More than a few are indie games) The latest success is There's No Time to Explain, which I love just for the opening: XkXeiSqp-Qs

Check the toilet bowl for spiders every time.

Assault and battery is free too. Won't cost you a penny! Seriously though, I don't think people are ungrateful. But thet have a right to be angry if their details are misused. After all, money has changed hands - not for the service, but through the service.

There are indeed. Go to 'edit tags' and them mouseover each tag individually (tut tut Jake, tut tut).

Same here. I just played through the first little bit. I've decided to install a mod to let me walk rather than run anywhere. because it's annoying to keep bumping into people. Other than that I'll probably leave it vanilla. Although I'm not loving the way swordplay works - I might see if there's mods to make it feel nicer. It might improve as I level up though. You can really tell that this is an action RPG built on a point-and-click RPG engine (Neverwinter Nights). Still looking forward to playing through it though.

I stopped visiting Kotaku after one of their commenters politely criticized the quality of their journalism, so was IP banned and received a personal email filled with abuse from Crecente. Yeah, professional. I even get slightly irritated when I accidentally follow a link to Kotaku. I wouldn't go as far as to say I boycott them... except I guess I kind of do.
